My Home,Menu,Back,Search keys do not vibrate anymore. They where working before I discharged my battery until my phone turned off. They turn off normally when my battery gets below 30%(Power Saver). But this time they have not come back on after charging my phone to 100% with the phone off. My phone vibrates when I type a text message or unlock my phone.
I have not restarted my phone yet because I'm trying to calibrate my battery. I did not charge it enough the first time.
Solved: By Restarted the phone.
The first logical thing to do would be to restart your phone.

You're correct but I wanted to make sure there was not a unique setting for controlling the vibration of the Keys before I messed up my battery calibration.

Vibrate feedback under Feedback is Enabled. I even disabled it and then enabled it but it did not fit it.
Thank you for your help.
Will restarting my phone without fulling discharging the battery mess up the calibration process?

I restarted my phone and and it fixed the problem.
I guess I'll just try and recalibrate the battery another time.

Charged to 100%. Then Discharged it until the phone turns it self off then charged it over night while the phone is still off then turn it on in this morning. But I don't think I let it charge at 100% long enough.

Does anyone know of a way to get the screen to shut off after the battery recharges? A popup box tells me to unplug the cable and the screen stays on until I hit ok. This irritates me to no end as I always charge my phone at night, so the screen stays on for hours. Any way to disabled the popup box our force the screen to time out?

I was just thinking about this, and I think I will use Tasker to turn off the screen when that happens.

I would also like to know the answer to this. That pop up is irritating in general.
Your screen doesn't turn off after? Mine always has shut off after about 2 seconds.

Same here, mine always turns off after that pop up.
Mine doesnt turn off either its annoying as hell and lights up my entire room. How can you manage this with tasker?

For other reasons, I prefer the option to leave the screen on while it's plugged in. So it doesn't shut back off once the popup happens.
Mine always shuts off after a period too. Do you have the setting on to stay awake when plugged in? Simple solution is to put your phone upside down when going to bed. I have to block LEDs on my computer, and its charger to sleep. My bigger annoyance was the sound it makes. I finally figured out that the System Sound controls that volume.

There is no solution to this. From what I read, Samsung changed it in Froyo build and put this notification on notification bar instead.
If you don't like it lights up in the middle of night, why you keep the phone wake while plugged in?

This is what I've resorted to as well, it's not perfect, but like you say, its really annoying to have it light up the entire bedroom at night. Fingers crossed its fixed in 2.2 like someone said.
In Settings >> Applications >> Development there's a setting named "Stay awake while charging" or something like that.
Does anyone with this problem, by any chance, have that checked?

Mine doesnt do that. The message pops up that the battery is charged and to disconnect the cable, but my screen doesnt stay on. Every morning when I get up my screen is off. As soon as I hit the power button the screen wakes up and I see the fully charged message is still there so I then hit ok, but my screen is never "On" when I first wake up each morning.

It turned out to be a problem with the AT&T JH7 update for me, actually. The screen would stay on regardless of whether that was checked or not (it actually re-checked itself as soon as I left the menu in JH7). Flashed back to JF6 and all is right with the world again. Thanks for reminding me about that option though, I was beginning to think it was some touchjizz quirk.

No such problem here with JH7.
Strange, I wonder why some people's stay on while some do not. If it were a "Stay awake while charging" option issue, then the phone wouldn't have shut off the screen in the first place when you first insert the cable.
What version of firmware are you guys having this issue using?
I'm on stock. Sometimes I actually miss when it's fully charged for an hour or two because it shuts off the screen after a few seconds.
Why not charge it with it off?

There are various reasons you may not want the screen to automatically turn off while it's charging. I would rather just manually click the power button if it's plugged in. I never rely on it auto sleeping the screen anyway. I just leave it charging overnight while I sleep so it turns on the screen when it's full and doesn't shut off.

Mine was one of the updates that "failed", but said it was running JH7 after reboot anyway. It actually worked well with noticeable improvements in GPS performance; apparently that screen problem was some side effect though. Who knows :\
I was in the boot loader and i went to power off, now my phone will not turn back on. Also the battery was low so i think that could be the problem but the battery doesnt show up on the screen when plugged in showing that its charging. Any Help?
How long did you leave it on the plug? Sometimes it takes a few to get the charging icon to come up.

Did u change anything in the bootloader?
I did Fix Permissions then went to power off.
This happened to me once. Fixed it by: 1. Removing battery, 2. Connecting Charger , 3. Installing battery while charger is connected... and it turned on by itself. I don't know if that will damage the battery or phone ... but I haven't had a problem since then.

Hi,
Sorry,I do not know what to suggest.
Have you tried another battery? That blinking light means that there's not enough power to turn the phone on.
Actually I think the blinking amber light means an overheated battery.
I don't have another battery, I have cool it down a few hours from just now, but I still cannot turn it on now, should try a new battery?

When my phone is out of juice (nothing left, won't turn on), and I plug it in, it does the blinking thing for the first 2 minutes. After that I can turn it on.
Just try another battery.
Thanks guy for ur answer, i tried my friend battery on mine and it work, guess i will have to change into a new battery
I just noticed my phone last week and it wouldn't turn on. Occasionally after I take out the battery, put it back in and press the on button it'll flash the red led on the top once, and then it doesn't do it again. I don't know what to do, can someone help me? Do I have to call warranty?
I can't get to bootscreen or recovery or anything, no power. Tried it on computer usb and the power adapter.

Those batteries cost half as much as a new system
It's a gamble, I might try buying a new one and seeing if the battery swap will help.
Or if u still have warranty, first go to service centre!! They'll tell the issue
Heat your battery with your hands firs, or something like that(don't get it in the oven). Maybe will help.

Nobody on google seems to know the answer to the problem.
I'm currently heating it with body heat but I dont think it'll work.
Try charging your battery first with All-Battery charger or something similar and then try switching your phone on! Charge atleast for and hour or so!

Can anyone confirm for me if HTC Explorer will turn on without a battery in, if it's connected to USB?

Well it was just in the normal startup, I was running nextgen. I didn't actually see it die, just picked it up one day. I used the HTC website to root it.
Hello
I was going to try the bootloader option in reboot section, when the phone froze, so i took the battery out. and now it wont turn on anymore!
Any ideas how to turn it on again?

Your battery might have ran out of charge.
Try charging it and turning it on again.
There is no way that just entering Bootloader mode could've bricked your device.
Cheers.
