Looking around the web. Found an extended battery but do anyone know if they make one to fit the stock back cover? If not and.only the extended bulk one is the way. Do they make any silicone cover for.it also?

I've been wanting an extended battery that fits the stock cover, none of it so far.

100mah is next to nothing. You probably wouldn't even be able to tell you have an extended battery with that small of a change.
Wasn't aware of the mah difference.. just knew of this battery and thought it'd help

yeah, most stock sized batteries anymore have very little increase in mah as the stock batteries have about the greatest safe energy densities they can. It's probably the largest stock sized battery you'll find for our phone.
I have the seidio battery. It works fine. I would say I got about a 10% increase in use. Not much, but every little bit helps!

And not only that, Mugen makes GARBAGE. Check out batteryboss.org, their batteries are junk compared to any of the other ones.
I purchased this battery from this same ebay seller. I have had this battery in heavy daiily use for over a month and it has performed flawlessly and lasts all day with no problem.

For that price, I think you'd be better off getting the Seidio battery - it's cheaper and comes with a better looking battery cover.

that battery cover is hideous
the mugen one is superior in looks as well as function

Hrm. Well the looks part is subjective, but what function does the Mugen battery cover perform better than the Seidio battery cover?

I know that it wasn't available two months ago. Has there been anything new regarding this? Any cases for the phone with extended battery?

prob not, i know for my old Droid 2 there were hardly any cases that supported the moto extended battery (i think 1 did)
Since i still can't tell if samsung actually has an official extended battery they say that supports the charge, i can't see many manufactures making one.

I have the official Samsung extended battery. But for some reason it's not really marketed a whole lot. Go figure.

Probably because it turns the phone into a brick.

I actually prefer the heft. Thought the stock slim battery is too light and weak. The extended battery is giving me 18-22 hours of moderate usage.

Yea, I must admit i havent seen a case for it anyplace. not even in china. I hear it fits inside a clip. i tried mine. but it seems to JUST fit. and floppy. prob will fall out
Hyperion now has a silicon skin that fits with their 3500mAh extended battery. The description says it should also fit with most other 3500mAh or 3600 mAh extended batteries.

Just ordered this case, will post my opinion of it as soon as I get it.

Thanks. I just installed my new Hyperion extended battery yesterday and it is too slippery I dropped it once already. Out of necessity, I cut out a hole on the standard size case. It's doable, but ugly from the back, which I don't care since I only see the front side anyway. Lol.
I'm more interested in how the front facing buttons would operate and feel with the rubbery cover.
TIA
All i can find on amazon is the 3rd market ones...

The reason people don't like it is because it sucks for an "extended" battery. You can get another one almost 1000mAh bigger for the same physical size.
Which one would u recommend

I haven't tried any but from others' recommendations I would say hyperion 3500mah with the OEM extended cover (as the hyperion one cracks)

Samsung extended is like 2600 so hyperion is like 1000 bigger. Just search this forum for it.

Has anyone had any luck finding decent cases (even TPU) for the OEM extended cover? Amazon's got some kinda-crappy silicon cases for the Trexcell extended battery, but I'm not really a fan.
I have both the OEM extended battery and the Hyperion's. The Hyperion is 3500mAh and the OEM is 2600mAh, however the Hyperion is slightly thinner by a hair, and it runs cooler and has a much longer battery life. You won't have any problem fitting the Hyperion under the OEM extended battery case which is made of a better quality plastic than the Hyperion's that comes with the battery.

Hyperion Experience
I just ordered the Hyperion through Amazon and the case for it as well. I'm amazed! Took this phone from one that I can barely make it through 12 hours with minimal use and having GPS, data and wifi off except when I MUST have it (i.e. at lunch) to a totally new level where I have all services running throughout the day and extensive use without a charge for 12+ hours. Should have expected it - the battery has the same capacity as the Razr MAXX.
In reference to the case... Meh... I had the silicone one that I bought through Verizon on day one of owning this phone and it was a nice one. Felt good in the hand, lasted nearly 2 years (still works but not on the extended cover) and protected the phone from my occasional oafish drop. The one I have from Hyperion feels cheap (I guess because it is...), but does its job - I've dropped it a couple of times and had no issues. Only real issues I do have is 1) this case covers the hardware buttons on the bottom. With EP1, EP4 and FP1, this wasn't an issue as the backlighting worked randomly at best. With the FP5 update, I've found that the backlighting appears to function properly and the new cover precludes that. 2) the charging port's cutout was too small for the charger. Initially, I just pulled the cover down and charged it that way but who wants that? UGLY! So... That's what a razor blade is made for... I cut the hole bigger (carefully!) and have had no issue since.
I believe that will be my solution for the covering the hardware buttons backlighting as well...
I was hoping to buy an extended battery like the anker one on ebay. (sorry I can't post links I'm still a XDA noob)
but I want to use a case with my phone and I can't find any cases that go over these extended batteries. Are there any available, or do they just not exist?
Thanks

They don't exist, but I'm planning on purchasing an extended battery and just cutting out the back of the TPU case, so the sides of the phone are protected, and the only thing exposed would be the extended battery cover, which isn't much of a problem.
If you mod you're case.
Please post some pictures.
Thanks in advance.

Well, I'm not in the US right now, I'm on vacation in Lebanon... So, I'll try my best to find an extended battery and TPU case over here, if not, I'll just wait until I get to the US to do it.
I have a spare TPU case, I will do this tomorrow, and take some pics
Sorry, I forgot the TPU case at home. I will try to remember tonight

What ever happened? I wanted to see the modded case I have the bulky 3700mah batt too im dying to find a case for.
For now i use my reg battery because my ICS rom and harsh kernel provide good enough battery life. But my 3700mah off ebay i love i just hate that bulky back they make you use. I might buy an extra back cash and mod it like the op said. Peel sticker off the battery and just have that stick out. I guess we'll see.
But awesome idea i would of never thought of it
btw im running:
LG G2X OCed @ 1408mhz
8gig Internal Memory
16gig External SD Card
Genesis Rom Stable Version 1
Ice Cream Sandwich
Harsh 3.03 Kernel OC ver
I get good battery on stand by but it does run down on a regular 1500mag slim bat. So this mod would be amazing. Someone could make a killing on ebay selling something like this.

I've seen batteries that are really good. But they are too big. So, what's the best battery in the normal size. I mean in man.
The original battery that the phone came with... but if you are looking for 3rd party manuf. there is a zerolemon brand....

Exactly what I want to know!
Zerolemon 3000mAh probably your best bet. Some users report a slight bulge on the casing when used, while others say that removing the sticker from the battery stops the bulge. Other than that, stock is probably best.
Oops guys i meant in mah.
Mugen makes a 2750 Mah in standard size with NFC. Mugen has an excellent reputation.

I think I've read a couple of reviews about that there was no significant capacity increase which is disappointing considering the fact that it supposedly has more mah :/
