I'd expect a late April/early May release. Nothing has been mentioned specifically in regards to it, but I know it's not far off.

Spoke to an employee at the Telstra shop yesterday, and he told me that it would definitely be in this month (April), or if not this one, then next (May).
Lets hope that he knew what he was talking about and its not long to wait.

do we know if it will have 850 AND 1900 for 3g? cause sometimes they could just include the 850 and 2100 for down there. i'm on ATT in the US so was hopeful i could get this phone!!

[Q] Android recommendations for ATT

I personally think the HTC Inspire 4G is the best Android device out there on the ATT network, but was curious what the consensus is (if there is one). My son is interested in getting an Android soon and wants to know what the current top model is on ATT. Slightly related, are there any new models coming down the pike for ATT that might be worth waiting for?
Imspire is your best bet. My buddy tried the atrix and ended up with the inspire. Like i told him in the first place.

The problem with the Inspire is that it is year behind. I bought one and ended up giving it to my son. It's not 4G. It's very slow browsing even slower than my Samsung Galaxy S. Also, it has no 2100 MHz band for Europe (if you travel there) and no front facing camera.
I'd wait for something better. I'm waiting for the Infuse which is due out any time.

[Q] Porting Infuse to Cincinnati Bell

Anybody have any luck porting a Infuse over to Cincinnati Bell?
I seem to only get the Edge network and can't receive MMS (even after trying 247,987 different settings....)
What a fantastic device and I sure would hate to lose it.....

What bands does Cincinatti Bell use for 3G? If they use the same bands as T-Mobile, this would explain the Infuse being stuck at EDGE. There is no way around this.
They use the same as T-Mobile so it will be edge only.
Yeah it is the same as tmobile. 1700/aws is the typical band for their 3g I'm pretty sure.

Gentlemen, thanks for the info.
I was fairly certain that was going to be a hard limitation. I just wanted to run it by my XDA friends before I had a visit to eBay.
I was given this by AT&T as a “gift” if I would stay with them and admittedly it was enticing since I actually found the Infuse as close to perfect for my needs.
Oh well “eBay meet my Infuse…..”
Ps – anyone want to make a recommendation on a close replacement out of these choices (or what to avoid);
HTC Panache
Huawei Ascend
Samsung Vibrant
Samsung Nexus s 3g
Dell Streak 5
Motorola Milestone XT720
Tmobile actually has a goods selection of nice android phones like the gtx2 galaxy s 4 and some others which should work nicley on cincy bell. But if tmobile merges with att idk if they will tell bell to find a new frequency or if since they are local att won't care thinking it won't clog up the data bandwidth too much. Then you'd do all this for nothing you know what I mean lol

If you liked the infuse, the vibrant is going to be very similar, possibly the nexus s as well. Personally, I would grab a tmobile HTC sensation from the marketplace on here or eBay for 350-400 or so and use that.

I would avoid Huawei at all costs. Their policy on updates is, "Want an update? Buy this slightly modified variant of the same device you already own." and "Accessories? What accessories? That dock connector is just there to look pretty and sell tablets to idiots like you that don't know us yet."
Yes, I'm a VERY bitter S7 owner.

HTC Sensation Z710A - AT&T 4G Compatibility

Hello everyone,
Quick question about the HTC Sensation Z710A Which can be found here: http://negrielectronics.com/htc-z710a-sensation-850-1900-3g.html
Essentially what I am wondering, is that I know that this phone has the correct bands to be compatible with AT&T 3G, but what I'm wondering is if this is compatible with AT&T "4G" as well (HSPA+)?
I just want to ensure this and clarify, and maybe even someone who is using this phone on AT&T can chime in and let me know. Thanks in advance
Hey Boktai, the answer is yes. The Z710A being a 4G device and with the ATT bands, will get HSPA+. I ran a few speed tests, and my best run was 6.8 down and 1.3 up. The worst was 1.8 down and 1.1 up. It seems to vary, but I'm getting 4G speeds. Depending on the time of day of course. Hope that answers your question.
Wow $700.00 for the sensation!!!
Use coupon sb35offjkh for $35 off on orders over $400. That should bring down price to $663.
Canadagsm has them unlocked for I think $575 CAD (585 USD). Got mine a few weeks ago on sale for $549. Their customer service isn't all that hot, but the price is good.
I can get one for 500 to 550.00 as well in canada

Would the one from T-mobile will work with ATT 3G if I unlock it ? I am afraid it will only show EDGE.

Unfortunately it will not AT&T 3G only edge. That's the Z710E model. Your best bet is to find an unlocked Bell Canada Z710A. It's what I have.

Here is the one I ordered:
http://www.canadagsm.ca/phone_details.php?product_id=snp1764 It was $549 Canadian
Note of caution though, their customer service is not that great and since it's off carrier HTC does not warranty it as of now. If there are problems with the device, you have to go through Canadagsm who are also known as SNTraders and they send it on to HTC. Kind of a mess.
rejoice!
htc sensation in Bell-RockstarMobile on ebay....search for it, its like 485 ca
kinda cheap....me thinks.
can't paste link sry.
Does anyone know of any more good links? I'm trying to find a Z710A for AT&T under 600$. Can anyone help?
Edit....... nvm
Hi all, what the diff between the Z710A and Z710E?
Tks
EDIT: i guess the difference is on the 3g network right?
Z710A 850/1900
Z710E 900/1700/2100

[Q] Should I get a HTC One X???

Geeks, I am from Sri Lanka, currently I use nokia 5800 XM, i have been using it for almost 2 years. I have been a good user of Nokia, but after seeing these android devices and their ability and so on, I planned to move on to any android device, at the moment I love HTC One X more than the SGS3. So for sure I am getting a HTC One X, but when., I am planning to get it in the near future, may be in another 2 weeks, but is it a good time to get it here in Sri Lanka, because I heard that the first few batches had so many faults, screen flexes and many. SO guys should I get it now or should I wait, until the new batches release that is HT25 or anything like that, which batch should I get????
Thanks in advance.....

People keep saying this, its false. The AT&T One X is compatible with HSPA 2100 MHz (Band I), which is used for 3G in many parts of the world, including Sri Lanka. I was just roaming in Germany, and can verify that 3G works just fine on 2100 MHz.
People are confusing Band I with Band IV (split 1700/2100 MHz) that T-Mobile US uses for 3G. Band IV is supposedly supported in hardware on this phone, but not in software (although many T-Mob users are hoping for a hack for this).

[Q] Help Moving to canada, need new phone and new connection advice anyone?

So I'm finally moving out of my hometown in India and am off to Toronto. It will be a fond goodbye to my 2 year old DHD..
Though I am really confused about what service provider to switch to and what plans they might have. I'm also thinking nexus 4 but rumors of HTC M7 are making me mad.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Though i am from india, my friends and relatives from canada use rogers network mostly!

yeah i've been looking and rogers seems to have the best plans. others have left me feeling rather confused. Just need to know how their services are.
Any ideas on phones? the 3 year contract terms have left me confused as well
just checked rogers website, apparently you can't get a connection without purchasing a phone from them
