I wrote this as a live wallpaper for my nook color and posted it to the market. This is a live wallpaper that shows current battery level on a "steam gauge" - part of an old locomotive control panel. The gauge reads 0-100 indicating the current battery charge level. There is a steam leak behind the valves - and an indicator when the device is charging. The wallpaper supports portrait and landscape orientations and transitions but should be initially set using portrait layout. Search on the market for "steam gauge" and it will show. qr code is here for market.
The wallpaper has been tested on a nook color, nexus one, and a samsung galaxy tab.
I welcome comments.
thanks,
Peter

Update: Battery 1.7
As you can see I changed my view of activation. Any suggestions?
Could the Status Bar Icon show different battery icon depending on charge level? For example when 50%, then battery would look half empty?
I think it might look better if the empty spaces between lines is removed, there would be less scrolling then. But it's just my preference, I prefer more details on page with less scrolling.
UPDATE New Version 2.0.2

I posted a free app recently if you guys want to use it. It will let you generate a solid colored wallpaper based on the exact resolution of your display (phone or tablet). It supports RGB color codes and HEX color codes. Works well when your needing an exact color for a theme you are making, or to match colors in a Zooper widget template (or any other custom widget app). I also use it when I am running a ParanoidAndroid ROM to set my wallpaper to the exact color of my status bar. I also included some preset colors such as the color codes from google, some company colors, sports teams(NBA,NFL,MLB), social media colors, and the colors from the MotoMaker website for the MotoX. Keep in mind the preset colors may slightly vary from device to device.
If you want to download it here is the link (FREE): LINK

Hello everyone, I was wondering if such a widget exists that essentially creates an adjustable black box that you can send behind widgets (send to back).
I use an old widget called "Advanced Clock Widget" that lets you hide the clock and data, essentially doing the same thing... but that's all I use it for.
Like this.

These are different widgets with transparent backgrounds and this helps create a uniform look.

(in case the picture isnt showing for some reason)
Maybe you can use KLWP (Kustom Live Wallpaper) app for this purpose. It also has a Widget version.
It basically allows you to create customized live wallpapers and widgets.
thanks ill give it a shot
