Hey Guys
I know this question might have been asked several times before and i've been googling for about a month, but didnt manage to find a solution. So
I have a HTC Magic 32a and im desperately trying to flash a custom rom to it. But, whenever I hit "zip update" (or whatever its called) in the recovery menu, my phone tells me "no signature (760 files), verification failed".
What is the issue here? Do i need to update my recovery menu, or whats wrong?
I´m looking forward to some helpful answers, thanks in advance.

Are you at your Tri-Color Screen? If so...tell me what the screen says...also what device do you have a Tilt or a TyTN II
well when i was trying to flash the rom it not recognized it, then i disconected it and then enter in bootloader, and when it was flashing just stucked at 7% and said "ERROR 112 :CE Rom Update Error"
and now i cant flash anything, just stucks at the same 7%
its a Universal i know that it isnt a forum for that device but in the universal one just nobody answers =( and i guess that some people here has 1 uni too

i searched on google, and i found that a some peolpe had this problem too, but, the same as me, nobody answers. its time to throw away my universal?
Not to sound mean, but you could try spamming the Universal forums instead of the Kaiser forums. I know there are a lot of people on the Kaiser forums, but we're Kaiser users. Odds are you'll get better information in the correct forums because the people there have the same hardware...just a thought.
close this thread plz
OK,
I have a Universal, and here are some ideas and questions:
1. Give the exact name of the ROM you are trying to use. Do not put "the original one," or "Fred's rom." Put the EXACT NAME of the ROM that you are upgrading to, and a link to it.
2. Stop. Take a breath. Throwing away your Universal will not solve the problem.
3. Give exact step by step description of what happened. Start from, "I was using my Universal with XXXXXXX ROM and the world was fine, and then I downloaded the ROM given in item #1 above. I then did (whatever you did). Continue on. End with "I am now stuch at 7%"
4. I noticed that you are from Mexico. I am from the USA, so some colloquilisms may not translate well. (Plus my Spanish is horrible). Let's just stick to the facts.
To be quite honest, your posts are not helpful, and they sound like a drowning man clutching an anvil (see last Sunday's Dilbert...). It would be more helpful if you could be more forthright and specific as to the issue, and give those wanting to help you as much detail as possible.
I am willing to help, but help me help you.
I'd like to say, straight off the bat, that I have searched relentlessly, with only hints of success, but nothing actually turning up fruitful.
My problem is this:
tonight i decided to try out Cursorsense, it looked simple enough. I flashed my radio and SPL, and got ready to flash the new rom.
As I stared up the AmonRA recovery image (1.5.2 H), it suddenly restarted, and went into a boot-loop.
*I have read suggestions of flashing "permanently" but I am unaware how to do this.
*I have read about wiping the system, but this does nothing.
*attempts to use "fastboot update" give me an error of "failed to load update.zip" or a series of completely garbled text and other crap.
*attempts to use "fastboot boot" using either a new version of AmonRa's recovery image, or a stock sapphire image, give me an error of
booting... FAILED (remote: reproduce boot image with on-flash ramdisk error)
I find myself sleepy, and at a loss. I might be missing something fundamental, but I do need your help in seeing this.
This wouldnt be such a terrible issue if this wasnt a phone I use for work, but... so it goes.
Regards, and thanks in advance for any help.
pal, you need the *hero* AmonRA's recovery!
okay! There's some solid help now, would this solve my biggest (and pretty much only) problem, of the RA-Sapphire freezing/hanging and suddenly rebooting?
I say only problem, as I've just bought a card reader, so I can at least bypass the process of getting files onto the SD.
Regards

Your phone is rebooting because the new radio doesn't support the Sapphire recovery, you need to use the Hero recovery.
Hi guys,
*Information contained in screenshots*
Posted a topic about a non-rooted G1 with only access to fastboot and hboot.
I was told that I would have to flash a signed ROM to solve my problem but unfortunately, after proceeding through the full ROGERS G1 downgrade guide by Haykuro, the problem still persists.
The only thing that could have gone wrong during the rooting process is the installation of the wrong recovery through flashrec (it only allowed for remote install for a 32a install).
Here is a screenshot of the phone in hboot for you to get all the info (spl, radio etc.) and a pic of the phone's screen past the splashscreen.
Anybody know how screwed I am?

you're not screwed at all if you can fastboot. esp. on an unrooted g1.
do me a favor, on the screen with the exclamation point, open your keyboard and push ALT+L.
That'll get u a menu, do a data wipe.
Thank you! That solved it but now everytime the phone is turned off and is turned back on. I get to that famous screenshot of death.
Any clue?
Thank you for your reply! Much appreciated.
Hi all,
Im wanting to return my desire S back to stock as much as possible. I guess that getting back to complete stock (s-off/s-on, carrier lock etc) might not be possible, but can anyone point to a guide that will work.
I saw this thread but it has been removed and locked bizarrely -
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1604255
I did a search and ive had a browse but couldnt see anything.
Any help is much appreciated!
cheers!
p.s. thread title error - return* my bad!
by the way i tried the following -
Im in the UK on vodafhone so I ran RUU_Bravo_Vodafone_UK_1.19.161.5_Radio_32.36.00.28U_4.06.00.02_2_release_126338_signed.exe
and got error 155
So i tried extracting the rom from the RUU. whilst running i had to go to temp files and get the rom.zip, renamed it to PG88DIAG.zip which is recognized by fastboot, but this did not work. got a very quick pop up of wrong image etc (after taking a while to load it)
So im not sure where to go. Its currently S-On, is that the problem?
cheers!

see this if it can help
Hello all, I apologize if this or similar has been posted ahead of time. I've have been searching the forums and Google for the past 4 days trying to figure this out. I'm lost...
Just to be known, I am not a "complete" noob on rooting/hacking phones. I am however a noob on this Sensation..
So a few days ago I got this phone. I had all intentions of running rooted custom roms. I've followed every turtorial I could find on it. I see there were two ways: Through SDK and the All-in-one kit v1.0
I tried using the SDK first... the problem I had with it was I would get a "failed to fetch URL"
So I would have to close down. Then after that I couldn't get "revision 5" to load up to tick on it.
Obviously it wasn't working correctly or somthing was wrong with drivers? I did install HTC Sync AND latest Java.
I dunno?
Next I went to use the All-In-One toolkit
Seemed better and easier. I went through the steps of unlocking the Bootloader - DONE!
Next I went to flash recovery.. Well I got stuck. It wouldn't load.
Well this next step is probably where I went wrong...
I was trying to move clutter off my desktop and was clicking on things... I happen to hit the "Stock kernel" button. Wouldn't be a problem except the tool kit is used for the HTC One X (although it is said to also be used for the Sensation). I'm thinking maybe I loaded thr One X kernel?
Basically, after that I am stuck on the HTC wite screen. I can get into bootloader, Fastboot, and now CWMrecovery (although recovery is giving me issues too. Can't mount USB and half the time wont run SuperWipe, will say aborted status 1 and sometimes 7)
There is current rom in the phone so I cannot boot into anything and I wasn't able to do "perm root" because of my accident.
I'm stuck and I've run out of options. Is it bricked? What can I do to get back to stock to atleast start over and get S-OFF?
I do have the OTA ICS update 1.27 if that helps.
Please, any help is greatly appreciated!!!!

Thanks for replying back so quickly! That is the actual thread I've been trying to follow. My problem with it is I can't get command prompt to work right? I follow the directions but every time I keep getting "not found" in the directories. Is it something on my comp I'm not doing right?

if you are trying to flash 4ext recovery then did you open the command prompt in the folder where adb and fastboot files are located?
if yes then did you have installed htc drivers?
best wishes
big mistake that you used kernel from that tool
i used the same tool to root my device but never flashed that kernel because it is for one x
