How can I make a D2G nandroid backup? - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

I have searched all over the place. Once I have rooted, how do I make a nandroid backup for my droid 2 global? I have tried the recovery way and the rom manager way with no luck.

One more question...
If a phone won't boot, and one cannot get into ROM Manager, how can a restore be done?
Do you have a link to that guide? I cannot find it.

Through the recovery on the phone
No problem! Check the Motorola Droid X general section. There might be some good insight as to how to solve your problem. I'm sure you can try the "factory reset" option. Good luck!

Bootstrap vs titanium backup

I just rooted my D2 Global. I have bootstrap recovery installed. Should I put titanium backup on as well? I mainly wanted to wifi tether, but now I'm interested in custom roms.

Rom manager I think only reboots you to recovery and does it, so its kinda the same of backing up the phone. Titanium backs up all the apps and its what people use to restore apps between ROMs.
