Where exactly on this ad are you seeing that Sears is selling it for this price this Friday and Saturday? I just bought mine this past weekend so I'm still in my 30 day window where I can go in and demand $30 back since I bought it for $379.99.

Their price protection is for 14days. I just got off chat with a sears rep and they say go into store and you will be taken care of.
I even told them I could return it and buy it at staples with the sears price.
I think we should be taken care of, I will be going down Fri or Sat with receipt in hand!

Just got off the phone with Sears and they had no clue what the hell I was talking about. Someone please verify which site that coupon comes from.
No G Tablet in my Sears ad
Got my paper here in N California this morning with the Sears ad for Friday and Saturday and there is no G tablet on sale in it.

Got into a fight at a sears tonight with manager because they didn't have my refurb when i got confirmation. ended up getting a brand new one price matched to the "refurb" price. It rang as 349.99 original price on the receipt if that helps anyone. This was in PA.

My Fri/Sat ad for Cincinnati doesn't even show a GTab in it, and the weekly ad that ends tomorrow says its $379.99 still, and then, the website says $399.99. When I got my price match at staples for $379.99 on Monday, the website showed that price. Now it doesn't.
Is Sears as confused as we are?

Just call and ask them. Price they would charge will show up when they enter the sku. Sears is pretty good with coordinating prices with their adds.

Site looks pretty screwed up ATM. It shows $379.99 but when you click on it for the specific page it then shows $399.99 ...
Yeah, I did a price match to $379.99 on Monday as well instead of returning it.

Staples has an extended return policy through the holidays, and it includes electronics. You have 30 days minimum.

I bought before 11/26 though... the Monday before, i.e. 11/22 ... my price guarantee was marked as an "exchange" though (new receipt)... hmmm....
Bought Gtablet 12/2 and returned 2 days later. Bought back today at $379 due to the excellent progress from the Geniuses on this forum. Been following the progress for 2 weeks and finally came back to Gtablet.
Saw flyer for 10% off sale for electronic items for tomorrow. Don't know if the Gtablet will be included. In the small print on the bottom, flyer mentioned computers do not apply. Will go back tomorrow and try to get 10% refund and savings buy 32/64 gb microsd.
Great hardware + great software + great support = great product. The great software support is found in this forum.
Charging Gtab, can't wait to root and flash.

Of course you should be able to take advantage of the discount even if you bought it last week. Even if they don't have price protection, if you have your original receipt, do the following: buy a new G Tab with the discount, then use your first receipt to return that unopened one for the full, $379 refund. Money in your pocket.
FWIW though, I just tried to apply the online coupon to the G Tab, and it said the item was not covered by the coupon. You may luck more luck with sales associates though, since Sears' own description does NOT call the G Tab a computer (which the coupon excludes), but rather just a tablet. I was able to use that argument at Staples for a discount the other week. Good luck!

Save yourselves the trip. I stopped at my local Sears retail outlet in Niles, Illinois, and asked about the 10% electronics sale -- they knew about it, tried to apply it to the in stock g-tablets and said the code does NOT work. They had a copy of the flyer right there and said they've used the code for other electronics today already. They also tried to do a price match on the tablet I purchased last week and the code would not work there either. So no joy here.

I just tried to buy one and the coupon does not work. Otherwise,I would be able to get one arounf 300 dollars using my discover card (another 10% from Sears)

Yea, $379 is the sale price until Xmas. They are normally supposed to be $399.
I managed to get mine for $349 last week. Would have been ecstatic to get it for $315.
The 10% discount does not apply on the gTab, however I managed to get the discount thanks to a mistake the sales person made the day before when I went to pick it up, he told me I should wait and come back the next day so I can save 10% thanks to the "family and friends" sale, but the next day he noticed hat the Tab was excluded, but he honored the mistake and apply the discount anyway!

Picked one up today as a gift for my father.
Office Depot, $369 sale price.
Taking it back tomorrow, the thing is SO not ready for consumer use. Tons of force closes on first boot, the handango market is asstacular, the entire experience is a train wreck.
And I can't believe how bad the display is off angle, and how narrow the "on angle" is.
And what did they use to polish the glass with? It is actually rough feeling.
The demo model in the store was locked to the angled display case so it looked ok there, and was so greasy with fingerprints it didn't feel bad.
Maybe I'm spoiled after using a Galaxy Tab for the last month. But frankly I'd be embarrassed to give this thing to anyone. Hell, it makes me embarrassed to be an Android tablet supporter.
And since my dad fell in love with my Tab, I don't think he'd really enjoy the Viewsonic in comparison.
Even the devs here can't save this thing from that display. Shame, because the rest of the hardware seems decent enough.

I bought my g Tablet from them for $349.99 on 3/16. I am returning it. Also, I got one from woot this week.
I bought one from tigerdirect.ca on Sunday for $399CAD (received it Tuesday). I just emailed them and they're refunding me the $60 difference on the new price drop.

Exact thing happened to me. I missed their $20 deal by 1 day, bought it for $399 on Sun, got it a couple of days ago and today it's on for $60 less...
So what did you say to persuade them to give you the refund?

man i shoulda waited for this deal instead of jumping on woot. The shipping at tiger is dirt cheap in contrast to other etailers and I could expect the product to be shipped same day. Now since woot doesn't have a real order history that shows order status, I have to basically watch it like a hawk to see when my order ships because my area is high crime. Most packages get stolen if not immediately intercepted.
Buggah, can't order online for international delivery.
Have to make phone call.....

Many thanks to the OP and all who posted here. I did pick up one from Tiger Direct today using the posted code.
I dithered all day on the Woot deal finally telling myself not to buy version one of anything. Then was at Best Buy and played with the iPad one and two which sold me on the concept.
With Woot charging sales tax and Tiger not I will actually save about $2.

Just to note, it's a few more states than that:
"We only charge tax in FL, IL, NC, TX, GA, SD and ID"
(I knew they'd have to charge tax in IL because they have a warehouse in the Chicago burbs and have a couple stores as well)
Just an FYI if you bought the Touchpad case or Touchstone charger full price from stores such as Staples or Office Depot. Most of these stores have a policy of refunding the difference if they drop the price shortly after you bought it. In Staples' case, it is 14 days. Bought my case at Staples for $50, since they were almost sold out and no one else in town had them. Next day, it dropped $20, refund was no problem.

No coupon needed, but just in case print off the discounted item from their website.

Just wondering if anyone has had any success getting a price match from other retailers (ATT, Best Buy etc) on the $49.99 price advertised last week through Amazon and Radioshack. I ask because I tried today with Best Buy after a user posted a receipt image indicating that he was able to get a Best Buy in FLA to sell it for 49.99. I really want this phone and the cheaper the better. Thoughts?

I went to two Best Buy's with a copy of that receipt and they both said that the employee who did the price match was making an error. They only match advertised price. Radio shack never advertised $50, it was a pricing error. Plus even if they did have a special pre-order price, that advertising ended when the device released on the 6th, and now all places are advertising $200.
The guy in florida got lucky with a dumb bestbuy employee (who will probably get in a lot of trouble)
I missed the Amazon sale, but Amazon matched the RadioShack price. $50 shipped w/ no tax. WINNING!

actually that thread is about people who got a $50 HOX from radioshack. This thread is about people who had success in getting that price honored at other places. Next time try and read both threads. would help you not look so rude/ like a jerk.
ATT matched my price, I called support and mentioned I was worried about loosing my unlimited data and the rep said he could match.
My exact sentiments. I'm going to keep trying to get it for less even though it is probably futile.
