I have been trying to fix permissions in both terminal and Rom manager and have been getting errors. Rom manager says an error occurred and terminal says not found. I tried restoring a backup and still no go. I am currently on axura 1.3.21.11. If anyone can help I would appreciate it.

I have looked all over the internet for a solution to this and couldnt find an answer so hopefully some one can help. I tried to flash clockwork recovery through Rom manager and it says it was successful but every time I reboot, it just goes into 3e. Thank you to anyone who can help
Sellect "Reinstall packages" option twice, that will get you to green CWM
Sent from my B.A. Infuse 4G
all I get is E:failed to verify whole-file signature
E:signature verification failed
installation aborted.
This worked for me
This happened to me when I was trying to copy the modified "recovery" file into my "/system/bin" directory. It looked like I r/w access tothe directory when I actually didn't....I used "System Manager" instead of "Root Explorer"...Copied the modified "recover" file to the "/system/bin directory.....then started the boot sequence over again.

You can use h8rift's with modded 3e Odin back to stock or flash community kernel.

I had the same problem. This worked for me too. Also you can factory restore. Wipe everything. Run Odin. Reroot. I usually just copy the modded 3e using root explorer cause ROM manager gave me issues.

Used NachoRoot > Installed ClockWork Mod & Super User>then Revolv Rom>now SU issues.?
Hey title says it pretty much
used NachoRoot
Installed SuperUser from ChansDD and ClockWork Mod
Installed the Revolver Rom & Revolver Parts
everything seemed to go fine, now only when I try to use anything that uses Super User I get errors, I cannot even open Super User now when I remember opening it before ?.... idk, am I missing something? Any ideas anyone?
Thanks
Maybe it hasn't installed properlly from the ROM.
Try to go to recovery, delete /system, /data and /cache and reinstall the ROM. It should work without problems...

thanks for the info...I will try that out..
I actually went through the same process you did, and ran into the same issue. I just ended up re-installing SU and then it started working again.

so simply just uninstalling it and reinstalling it worked? that sounds good, I will try that...havent gotten around to trying the wipe n all yet so if this works that would save me some time...
thanks for the insight, blackdragoon!
I do not even see an option for uninstalling Super User ...?
I modified my recovery file and installed cwm through rom manager. I am unable to properly backup and restore, and after some research, it looks like installing through rom manager might be the reason. can anyone tell me how to fix this?

Wrong section, but, just replace the recovery file through Rootmanager or something file manager that allows root access
i dont think you understood what i was saying, but i got it working anyway. changed my update.zip file on my sd card and took a backup. works now.
Yeah it's not really been made extremely clear, but flashing CWM through ROM Manager does not work/has issues on the SK4G. Use this whenever you have to flash CWM.
No matter what I do, whether it's the 1 click odin or the cwm backup that is rooted/deodexed, root explorer will not allow my /system/ to be r/w.
I have wiped and rebooted and formatted and reflashed a dozen times now, and every time I boot up and get root going, root explorer will flip to r/w for ONE operation. after the first operation it will no longer work, and if i try to toggle the r/w switch it won't move from r/o. Sometimes I don't even get one opeartion, it just doesn't work.
I have superuser installed, i tried checking for updates, i tried fixing permissions, i tried clearing cache. I dont get it!
SOmeone help?
Did you try another rom?
I have Sensation XE with ICS and Sense4 and Root Explorer is working good here.
Flash another Rom and see if it works.

oops hit thanks by mistake, freebie for you.
This happened to me a lot with the deodexed version and happens every now and then with the rogers cwm file. most times a reboot helps but don't know whats causing it.
No problems with mounting R/W with stock leaked ICS here via Root Explorer.
I just deleted a bunch of .apk's w/out problem.
Yeah, I'm having similar issues. Clockworkmod won't fix permissions either.

For me, ROM Manager won't fix permissions. But CWM does.
Someone else said if you install busybox from Market, that will fix it so ROM Manager will fix permissions also.
edit: confirmed, installing busybox allowed ROM Manager to fix permissions for me.
And it's doing a lot more than the CWM fix permissions did!
I had to reflash su zip from sd card again to get rom manager to fix permissions.

Can confirm that this worked for me.. used the app called Busybox (not Busybox Installer) and ROM Manager was able to run through and complete fixing permissions.
-EDIT-
Seems to be kinda hit and miss.. was able to get ROM Manager to fix permissions on mhx's CWR backup by using the Busybox app. Just tried it on tpmullen's ROM and it would hang, so I used the app to reinstall Busybox again and it still hangs.
Go to to romracers kernel thread and try flashing his ics kernel. (Unsecured)
EDIT:
This did not work for me I can freeze apps but not delete.
Hello to all and sundry! Now on receiving my one plus(cm version: 11.0-XNPH44S; kernel version: [email protected] 1); and had flashed TWRP v_2.8.5.0 and had installed the SuperSu v_2.4.6.zip . All went well and my device was successfully rooted. However on creating a nandroid backup ( I went with the standard options provided by TWRP while creating the backup and did not tinker at all) and then restoring it , SuperSU
has been flashing an error saying :
" SuperSU binaries not installed and SuperSU can't install them. This is a problem."
I have tried reflashing the SuperSU zip and have performed a factory reset but this has not solved my problem. Even in terminal emulator on typing "su" , (without quotes) the output is : Permission denied.
Being new to all this, can anyone please suggest a solution to the problem ( and if possible the cause) and can someone also tell me how I go about avoiding this in the future if I ever restore a nandroid backup? Your help will be very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
--EDIT--
I also tried deleting all SuperSU related data and files and then reflashing zip but that too failed.
--EDIT_2--
I saw this super helpful post : http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/help/supersu-flashed-su-binary-installed-t2860822/page2 and reflashed my system partition and now I have SuperSU working perfectly. In case you have have a similar problem ,just follow the instructions on that page.
http://t.co/ozzNyThVm0 Flash the new SU
Thanks so much
Have been having problems with this for awhile until seeing this thread. Thanks for your help!! XD @mindblizzard
