[Q] DInc stuck in bootloop after bad flash - General Questions and Answers

I just tried flashing a status bar mod, which apparently isn't compatible with my ROM, because I am now stuck in a bootloop. I have multiple backups using ROM manager, so I'm not worried about getting my stuff back. The only problem is, I did a battery pull and booted into recovery. Instead of it booting into clockwork mod recovery, it booted into the original recovery. So now I don't know what to do to restore my backup. Any help???
EDIT: NVM, I figured it out. I was trying to select recovery with trackpad instead of power. Sorry

Nexus One doesn't load past the multicoloured logo

Ok I have a massive problem here. Last night I decided to use the 1 click universal root app to root my phone and flash it to get CM.
I downloaded the app did the root, downloaded clockworkmod then did a clockworkmod recovery. After that finished i was given a pre-root option to backup my phone and wipe data/storage.
I only chose back up my phone. My nexus one then rebooted and proceeded to backup my phone then it went to install CM 6 RC2.. After this had finished it then rebooted and went to the multicoloured animation where the colours ceom from the left and right..
Here it would continuously loop and never do anythign else. With this I pulled the battery and loaded into recovery where I was in ClockworkMod. I then proceeded to use the recovery and as it was doing the recovery it just froze and the progress bar nor any words would come up.
From here I pulled the battery again did a soft/hard reset but it would hang on the loading animation again. I then did a wipe data/clean option and now it just hangs on the X logo.
On my sdcard I still have the clockworkmod folder with the backup, nandroid, system and all the other files as well. Vodafone Australia have no stock of the Nexus One at all and won't be getting anymore in since it's a finished product
I barely have any cash for a new phone and need to know asap what to do to fix this problem! If anyone can help!
When you installed Cyanogen CM6 did you install the proper baseband also or you just didn't write it down for us? If you had 2.2 on the phone before you rooted the baseband is ok for CM6.
Did you try hooking your phone with USB and try if ADB interface works? If your computer sees the phone via fastboot?
IF fastboot works, you could always restore your stock recovery and install a stock FRF91. (And then try again with CM6, this time installing the proper baseband AND WIPING like you should when installing CM6!!)
When installing custom ROMs always read the install instructions whole first then install.

Boot Loop!!!! Boot looped in Stock TnT boot animation AAAAAHHHHH

I have no idea what went wrong, this morning I tried turning my gtablet on and suddenly it went into a boot loop!! I have no idea what I did with it except turn it on this morning. I kept seeing the same TnT Lite boot animation over and over again. All day I have been trying to get it out of the loop, but nothing has worked, I tried what Roebeet posted in that huge thread on his firmware, didnt work, went to try the droidpirate method and it brought me back to the Stock TnT boot animation, however, its looped there now too! Im running on TnT Lite 3.1.3, and Im really scared, someone please help!!!! :O
If there is anything, any of you can do for me i would be greatly appreciative!!! Thank you
I don't know what method droidpirate suggested but.
Install Clockwork recovery from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=865245
clockwork 0.8 not the one from the market
Read this if your confused about installing
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=892090
Boot into clockwork recovery using Power/Vol+
Go to the advance menu in clockwork and repartition your sdcard to 2048 and 0
If you boot using Power/vol+ and you don't get clockwork recovery then it is not installed. Check your recovery/command file and make sure its there and is pointing to the right sdcard
Thank you so much! All is well, now just to restore all my apps and stuff... but thank you!! It worked exceptionally

I am having the same problem. I have tried formating, and clearing cache, also tried factory restore. Still no luck. Just get flashing TNT screen, and then blank screen. Anything you can offer would be great.
**Update: I used the NVFlash process and that worked.
Hey,
I have had the same problem with my Samsung Galaxy SL-i9003 , Every morning when i wake up i founds the phone gets into boot loop and after removing the battery and starting it again all the data losts.
The solution i have got from Samsung Service Center is that they have changed PBA(Mother Board) of the phone as well as the Sim tray.

Assistance! ROM and Recovery both won't boot!

I was trying to install EagleBlood ROM to run Gingerbread on G2x, and followed all instuctions, installing ROM manager, using that to flash to their recovery, then deleting caches, then flashing the ROM. After a reboot, EagleBlood is stuck on a bootloop, displaying an image of and android surrounded by a sparkly blue circle. If I take out the battery and then try to boot into recovery, the recovery image is displayed for a while, but then resets and goes back to rebooting without opening recovery. I am very scared that I may have bricked my brand new phone and do not want to pay for a repair. Any help is very much appreciated.

I would suggest that you NVflash clockworkmod by reading the thread here. Once you do that, you can access your recovery via volume down and power. If you do not have CWM installed via NVflash, for now, you should be able to reset everything by pressing the volume down and power to restore your phone to a factory state.
Thank you very much for that tool! Booted up the recovery and am currently recovering from earlier today on the stock ROM. If this is my last post, it was a success!

Now, when you install a rom through CWM, i would suggest wiping data (if you are switching between roms) and cache. This will prevent you from going into bootloops. I would also suggest after flashing a new rom, going into CWM > Advanced > Fix Permissions. You should now be golden.

[Q] CWM Looping On Infuse

Hello, I'm new to the forums and I feel bad I'm already screwing things up :/
Anyway on to the problem... I've had CM9 running on my phone for about two weeks now but I wanted to get rid of the rainbows in CWM and at boot. Today I downloaded Rom Manager from the market place, and when I ran it, it prompted me to install CWM recovery to my SD card, although I already had it installed I thought I'd give it a try. Bad idea, now I can't leave recovery mode, my phone will continually reboot into recovery, I've tried wiping all data and clean installing CM9 again and still nothing. I've even tried the exitrecovery.zip script to no avail
Any suggestions or ideas on how to fix it and boot into my ROM again?
Thanks!!
I would venture to say you might have to reflash...or start over from stock...
i would reload stock....then reload ics or the rom of your choice...
Thanks a lot! Worked like a charm, I used Odin and flashed factory stock 2.2.1, now I'm off to getting ICS back.
Thanks again!
Does anyone know why this happens? I've noticed that anytime I open CWM and choose the boot to recovery option is when I get stuck with CWM Recovery looping. I then have to go back to stock and start over again.
I'm not entirely sure why it happens, my guess was that it puts up a bad flag not compatible with ICS that keeps it from booting that, that was why I tired the exitrecovery script, I looked through it and it appeared to me to change a flag for booting. I'm not sure why it happens but I'd say just use the reboot to recovery option that the ROM provides in the shutdown menu, I know that always works.

Stuck in Boot Loop w/ No Backup

Hey guys, flashed this camera mod http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2516061
and am now stuck in a boot loop. my huge mistake was i didn't make a backup on CWN when i installed it, since i'm a massive noob.
I'd post this in the thread for the mod, but new accts can't post in developer forum (to prevent threads like these, probably).
anyone know a quick solution to this? i've dalvik wiped, factory resetted, wiped cache partition.
edit: i also don't know how to get the stock camera ROM back on the device since it doesn't show up in my windows explorer. if i knew that, it'd be easy to go back to stock.

If you can get back to the boot loader (hold down power button and volume down) and recovery (choice in bootloader menu), you are fine. I did the same thing. you can adb push the stock file (in his developer thread) and then flash it with custom recovery.
Here is a link showing how to adb push - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1667929
If that doesn't work, you can always flash back stock...... Unfortunately have had to do this more than once and have learned my lesson on backups.
Speedbal
Hope that helps.

New nightlies of CM12.1 needs the bootloader to be updated to newer version (HHZ12H).
Following the link to flashable zip of new bootloader: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23991606952613145 (Credit to @mo976)
Flash it in recovery
Wipe the cache
Reboot into bootloader and select recovery.
Flash CM12.1 rom.
I just tried what you recommended . Maybe I'm doing it wrong but I'm still getting "error updating binary zip" when trying to load anything on twrp
