Anyone hear anything? - HTC Inspire 4G

About the Samsung Infuse? I know this is the Inspire forums but I was just curious. I'm intrigued by the listed specs that the ATT sight has listed so I asked.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App

I went to an AT&T store a few weeks ago to get a new SIM card for a phone I was giving to my mom, and I asked an employee with a Samsung badge on his belt if he knew anything about the Infuse. "Infuse? Never heard of it."
I'm intrigued by it as well.

There will never be a Samsung device that would entice me into another one of their products #neveragain.

I'd just wait till about july. Just to see what's coming out. HTC is probably going to release another phone.

Well I miss the ease of using the Captivate. Did I have to root it to.enjoy its full potential? Yea but it wasn't a bad device all in all. I'll be looking for the Infuse for sure. HTC does make some bad ass devices though...........

Gunnyman is a smart guy, anyone that knows Samsung should already be doubtful they will stray from their questionable business practices.
Just because a new phone is going to come out does not mean they are going to change their ways in the slightest.

Maybe they should call the new Samsung phone, the Samsung Entice? lol

Yep super amoled plus. I can't wait to at least mess with it to see how it runs.

Inspire 4G to Atrix

Sold my Inspire not too long ago (I fell prey to the allure of the dual core Motorola Atrix).
Worst... decision... EVER!!!
Although it had the dual core it actually felt slower and more clunky overall than the Inspire. I was running GingerBlur which helped as it basically removed MotoBlur but itstill felt like a real step backwards. HDMI was kind of a novelty although I never used it. The only thing in Moto's favour was battery life. For me, I prefer quality over quantity .
Krisbo
If u read up on this matter, specifically other inspire owners doing the same thing, you would have an overwhelming amount of first hand accounts coming to the same conclusion... the atrix is a fail of a phone and its not worth it. Specs doesn't make the phone. It's the overall experience that does. Some people have to find out the hard way I guess. My advice... switch back to the inspire.

I just re-read my post, forgot to mention that I received an Inspire in the mail today . As soon as it booted it up I was much happier than I ever was with the Atrix.

Glad I still get my upgrade in Dec, since I went off-contract for this phone to get rid of the p.o.s. Crapsung a777. When Dec comes, hello Holiday, or whatever they will call it when they "officially" announce it.

Torn, please help

I previously had a Vibrant, and loved it. Unfortunately I had a pretty intense water accident with it (sat in a jacuzzi for 10 min before realizing it was in my pocket). I am eligible for an upgrade and am torn on phones. I have to get a phone by the 25th, so I can't wait for the Hercules, so I'm wondering, should I even bother with the SGS4G? Or should I look elsewhere at the Sensation or G2X?

Yes. I think you should "bother" with this phone
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA Premium App
By bother, I mean is it worth it to get, its almost six months old and I know that its not running on much different hardware than the vibrant (which is one reason I'm so attracted to it) but I want a beast, not a puppy when it compares to other phones in good old performance. Haha I realize now that "bother" wasn't quite the right word. I guess the better phrase is, is it worth it to get over the other new powerhouses?

I don't know anything about the sensation but my wife had a g2x and that was one big ass soggy piece of crap. Nothing but problems came from that thing. Needless to say we swapped it out. As far as the sgs4g goes I love this phone and would never pick a g2x over it.

My sister has the SGS4 and I used a sensation at the store but I have yet to find a g2x to mess with....
Sent from my T-Mobile G2 using XDA App
I played with the sensation at the store and I liked it alot but I couldnt tell a whole lot of difference. But hardware wise the sensation has the high ground and it has sense 3.0 which I like alot. I,love my sgs4g but I personally like the sensation more. If only the new sgs4gs had 2.3.4 and tw4.5 or something new then it would be a beast.
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA App
G2x is a solid phone, if it didnt have all the issues it would probably top the sensation. I like the g2x, stock android and very very fast! Sensation is an excellent phone as well, reminded me too much of my nexus one though.
You can't really go wrong with either one (IF you get a good g2x without problems) slim chance it seems to be. Battery life on g2x wasnt great barely 6-8 hours or so, sensation is alittle better though. Galaxy s 4g is nice, no issues running kg4 and probably getting around 2 days plus on one charge.
May want to consider a nexus s as well if you are looking at this phone. Personally I would try to hold off for another month or so, new nexus may roll out, the sgs2 or whatever itll be called? If you must choose now, pick up a cheap galaxy s4g off craigslist.
Sgs4g is great but either the sensation or g2x is def a better choice. Better dev communities and better phones period.. dual core ftw. Hercules is a phone to end all phones though.. why can't u wait??
Sent from my SGH-T959V using XDA App
Not sure about G2x, but the SG4G is way better than Sensation 4G
Sensation got a good screen, but, the battery life sux. Also the call quality is not good as SG4G. Low ring ton volume is disappointing also. Audio quality (headphone) of SG4G (with voodoo) is 100 times better than Sensation.
Why not just get a phone like the Sensation on the 24th of this month and if the Hercules comes out before your 14 day return period then just swap it out for the Hercules.
But if you live in the wonderful state of California, then you get 30 days to swap it out.
You guys are all looking at software issues. Hardware wise, the other phones are newer...so of course the others will be faster, have more memory, etc. most, if not all, the issues will probably be addressed by the community. I have no complaints about this phone, but do your research on the development of the others.

Hercules has the qualcomm snapdragon dual core, when compared to the exynos on my sgs2, it feels like comparing a core i5 to a pentium dual core. But the screen size is a plus, but it will probably kill the battery really quickly.
Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S2 using XDA Premium App
Tough choice, while the sgs4g is a solid device, it is older hardware wise. On the other hand the g2x and sensation has a plethora of issues.

Well the reason I can't wait is because I added a line on the 26th and only got the sim. So I have until then to get a new phone at contract price. I don't know if they will let me buy it and still have the 30 days (I live in california). Otherwise maybe I will get the sensation and hold it til the herc comes.

Or you could just keep the Sensation. The Hercules is not that much of an upgrade anyways, unless you're dying for an AMOLED+ screen.
They have the same processor. Plus, if you're into modding, the Sensation is very close to a full working build of CM7. So you can only imagine how fast that will be. And it's a qHD screen while the Hercules is not.
I think I need to research the qHD screen. It didn't look very impressive to me, but I only used the phone for 2 minutes or so. The thing is, I LOVED the super AMOLED on the vibrant.

I had a galaxy S 4g, but traded it back in for a new MT4G. The screen on the GS4G is much nicer than the MT4G and the phone itself functions very well... but the development just isn't there yet.
Keep in mind that it's not just a Galaxy S... it's T-Mobile's variation of the Galaxy S and is a different phone all together. I was highly disappointed to learn I couldn't use any of the ROMs that I had been planning to try, and that the 4G model was in it's infancy for development.

All SamSUX device are same BS its just another Galaxy S mockup with minor H/S revision. Also we must give credit where its due and on the display SuperAMOLED always better than our. I wouldn't take those cheap plastic looking Galaxy S-BS even if they offer me free. I am much happy with MT4G and spent more on it than 2xSG4G at full device price without any contracts.

From a galaxy better than yours.
The design does have its downsides, though. There will no longer be user-replaceable batteries, nor any slot for micro SD expansion. Due to space constraints, these phones will also only be able to use Micro SIM cards.

The htc One x won't be having the quad core processor due to the fact that it doesn't support LTE. They will be getting an one x but with dual core.
Happily waiting for the SG3. so no
HTC one s has a better processor snapdragon s4 crushes tegra3. Stay away from tegra products. But the lack of expandable storage. Also non removable battery kills that phone cloud storage doesn't make up for expandable storage. Especially if it isn't permanent storage.

What phone are you guys picking up after the G2x?

I'm thinking about getting a new phone soon... I wanted to pick up the HTC One X but reading about so many faulty devices over on the forums I'm kinda hesitant now. Still wondering whether or not I should make the plunge; on the other hand the 4S looks pretty interesting as well so that's also an option. So does the Xperia Arc S.
I need to get the phone before Julyish since I'm going overseas to study.
I don't see the newer phones (even One X, Galaxy S3) being much better than the G2x already. Sure they have ICS, but all the apps I run are fine on GB. Plus the extra cost to upgrade vs the ~$200 out-of-contract price of G2x on $30/mo plan doesn't justify it.
With all pricing aside, what's in ur opinion the best phone on the market right now?

Sensation rocks because the developer support is unparalleled. But the S3 is fantastic, and if you want a big screen the Note is excellent. And the One X, while it does have a few kinks in terms ram management, its arguably the best phone out there. Tried it in the store and it is unreal fast

If I stick with android I won't buy another non Nexus phone. If the manufacture updates the phone any it won't be updated for long and in most cases 3 months later there will be a slightly refreshed version that comes along and goodbye support for the phone you got. I had a Samsung Vibrant well you know that support died when the Galaxy S 4G came out You all know the support on the G2X and I also have a mytouch 4G which is running 2.3.4 just like my G2X which I also don't see it getting updated either to ICS.
As long as I know the phone will have xda support and Dec community support from the manufacturer I'll get it. Like the sensation that thing is fully supported, the HTC Vivid that's on at&t is extremely supported, sh¡+ even the G1 is lol....

I tried to love my G2x, I was even convinced that it was the best phone out there but the software/hardware issues finally got to me.
