I've done this adb installation before and never had a problem. Sold my laptop so I had to set it up on my wife's comp but its saying. Adb is not recognized as a internal or external command. Operable program or batch file.
I've done the environment setting. Installed all Google sdk stuff. So I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.or what I'm missing. Thx for the help and yes I've looked around and search.

hi,
did you start it in the same directory?
Maybe you have to set the Path in the 'Environment Variables'
(Search for 'win 7 path')
Yea. I did all that. Set the environment path and all. Doesn't make sense it did work before and I hit update on the Sdk app then stopped working.. soo I reinstalled and deleted everything and still no luck..

Sorry about the blank post. When I had this problem the file path wasn't correct. Are you going all the way to platform-tools in the filepath?

The only thing you have to do is read, follow instructions and make sure the proper files are in the proper locations.

Yes. SDK and drivers from HTC incredible SHOULD work. If you can get adb you're half the way there.
Please post the errors/problems you are having with getting temproot.
It keeps hanging after it asks if I want to integrate it in or something. I've never used scripts before. Any ideas?

this should have been asked on the v6 forum
do you have busybox installed?
did you run the script as root (ie. scull and cross bones)
Sorry, I'm at work. Scratch this. I reinstalled the script manager and it stopped hanging. Not sure if the APK in seans zmod zip is corrupt or something.

So I'm on the newest AOKP (build 40) and I have an issue.. Every time I delete or move a file or folder on my external SD card, it deletes/moves the file/folder but when I reboot the phone it doesn't stay that way. I tried to do this probably 10-15 times now using Root Explorer, ES, and plugging into the computer to transfer/delete stuff, but it will not stick. Any ideas why?
Oh, if this is a known issue I apologize, but I searched and didn't come up with a thing...

Nobody?

does it revert back to the same location or are you just noticing it because you aren't gaining any space?
I had a similar issue when deleting files using my mac because it was saving them to a .trash folder. So even thought i deleted the file it was essentially just moving it to trash and still taking up space, i then used root explorer to delete the .trash file and that worked.
sorry if it's not the same issue just thought I'd share my experience.
Same exact location.. It's like I never deleted or moved them

I'll make sure I recommend you guys to everyone that asks me about rooting. I do have a guestion tho. Is there a pretty much factory rom without the bloatware that I could use ace to hax and if so which is the most stable?

Do u have your phone plugged up in debug and charge only if your on stock rom? Then once u open aahk it should be in that folder.

No such file or directory
Hi. This is my first post on here so don't go too hard on me, but, I'm trying to root my HTC Inspire 4G using Advanced Ace Hack Kit.
I'm reading/using the effen manual, and when it tells me to type in ./hack-ace.sh in Terminal it tells me there's no such file or directory.
I don't understand how this could be, because i have everything installed.
Can someone please help me out??
Thank you!
NOTE: I'm using a Macbook white running Lion 10.7.4
------FIX------
I simply dragged the file hack-ace.sh into Terminal and pressed enter and it worked!
No. Plug your phone in. With USB debugging turned on and in charge only mode. Connect it to your pc Then run ace. when it ask for the passkey open tools find Cajun.txt open it. It should give u the passkey if not use the irc channel if it work enter the number 1 press enter wait for it to finish this should take sometime 10 mins. Or so.

Anyone know how to move app data to external SD? I have tried Directory Bind but it the apps can't find the data and just start to download to the internal SD again.
Thanks

If you mean games data try "gl2sd" from the play store .
Yeah I think xbsa included it in his ROM but it wasn't working for me. I will try it again.

Directory bind works well for me. You just have to make sure the binding is active. Served me well on gb, gonna miss it on my unrooted ics
Gl2sd was horrible. It worked the first time then never again. For directory bind make sure you have the paths in the right boxes and when the entry is on the list of bindings make sure you tap on the disc icon to make it green

One thing about gl2sd, make sure you start your game through it rather than the launcher icon

Just tried it with Samurai vs Zombies 2 and it moved the app data but failed to mount when I tried to open it.
Will try again with Directory Bind
Sent from my LG-P920 using xda app-developers app
Daft question but you ARE rooted arent you?
Sent from my LG-P920 using xda app-developers app
Yes mate. Everything runs as it should - Directory Bind creates a new folder on my SD card, says its deleting original files and the floppy disk symbol turns green. But the files aren't deleted from the original folder and when I delete them, the app doesn't work.
Sent from my LG-P920 using xda app-developers app
I never chose the auto option. I moced the files using es file explorer and then created the directory bind
Sent from my LG-P920 using xda app-developers app
I tried that too but I shall try again.
Sent from my LG-P920 using xda app-developers app
Oh, and i also left the original directories (tho empty) where they were
Sent from my LG-P920 using xda app-developers app
I'm thick as two short planks.
Got it working. I was confused because the data was in both the source directory and the target directory. I didn't stop to think that the file manager I was using was also tricked by the mapping. Easy way to check was to unbind them and sure enough, the data vanished from one directory.
For the record, I didn't need to leave a source folder. And it maps both ways, reading and writing. Great tool.
Thanks for your help and patience
