I recently tried to download a theme and it went horribly wrong, I guess I dont know how to download these ROMs and such. When I try to reboot, I get stuck at the At&T world screen, the sounds for the galaxy S animation play, but will not show the animation itself. I'm currently trying to fix my phone using this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=731989&page=3
and it has been taking me a while. I don't really understand what they're meaning, if anyone could help me with this problem it would be greatly appreciated!
Be more specific, what step of that guide are you getting stuck on?

At the very end, I've been waiting for an hour for it to finish in downloading mode while odin is open.

okay, so i'm very new to this rooting concept.
i rooted 2 days ago using Z4Root. It seems to have worked, installing SuperUser.
A friend directed me to BlackDroid.net, supposedly to get free apps. I went from my default browser on my Samsung Fascinate and installed a few apps.
One app i installed was Type Fresh. I was messing around with the fonts within the app, trying to understand what was actually changing on the phone. I had rebooted the device around 5 times within an hour after making (what I thought were) font changes.
After changing some fonts, the device began to malfunction:
- Upon reboot, the device will show the Samsung logo while playing the intro music for Galaxy S & Verizon Wireless.
- The device never gets passed this screen.
- After a battery pull, the device showed "downloading - do not turn off target!!!"
- I read in these forums that a battery pull should help. No luck. It still boots up the Samsung logo screen only.
- I've tried a factory reset by holding the volume keys and power button, but the device ONLY boots up into the samsung logo screen.
ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

i have a macbook and considering installing a 30-day free trial of vmware to restore the phone. i didnt, but even if i did, i would have no clue what i was doing. im a quick learner with good directions, but some of the verbiage is not familiar to me.
I managed to run a good ruu to fix my evo but after i flash a rom, after i hit reboot system it shows what looks like a cracked screen with lines like when the news interrupts a tv shows and tells you about some bad weather. It still boots up normally. I couldn't think off better way to say this, please forgive for that

This could be normal, i don't know alot of details, but if something in the ROM is sized wrong (too big?) you get that screwed logo during boot.
Had that once on my i9000, was normal and the phone worked fine. Some time later the ROM creator fixed it and everything looked normal again.

I'm sorry if this is in the wrong spot, but I couldn't post in the other specifically Kindle Fire forum because I don't have enough posts. (Ahem, none.) But I'm really very desperate. If anyone could help me, or walk me through the process of what I need to do, I'd be very grateful.
Alright, so here's the situation. I love my Kindle Fire, but like many, I hate the carousel. So I heard about using Go Launcher to fix that problem. I downloaded the APK file to my KF and installed it. Then my KF froze. I started freaking out. I restarted it and made it to the unlock screen, I was given the option to boot with GoLauncher or Amazon Launcher, but it wouldn't let me choose either option. Then the screen just goes black and stays that way.
The only other information I can give you is when I restart and the Kindle Fire logo pops up, it disappears really quickly and then reappears. It does this a couple times, then it does its usual animation with the sheen or whatever. Then the lock screen, then the option again but won't let me choose anything.
I have a Macbook Pro, and it will still let me connect via USB. I just have no idea how to fix it. I tried using the tutorial but I couldn't understand it. I've never rooted anything before and don't even know where to begin.
I know I'm an incompetent idiot who shouldn't have messed with something I didn't fully understand. I'd really appreciate your help.

I installed this on my HTC Vivid and have had no issues with that process. The one issue I do have though is when I return to my home screen from an app. It seems that the launcher or some other running part of the phone reboots when I do this and it displays the HTC logo. It doesn't take long for the logo to go away, and after it does it displays a loading window for a few seconds. After this everything goes back to working normal.
This happens every time without fail and while it doesn't seem to be causing many problems, it is quite annoying.
Does anyone know how to stop this?

Ok so I apparently missed the step where I was supposed to flash the boot.img before installing the ROM. I only did it afterwards. No problems now.
love this rom, best Ive run since the days of the Sidekick. Couple of questions,
1) icons not turning blue when connected (wifi,tmo,batt), is that normal or a permission set maybe?
2) this had hardware similar to Sidekick, would the Blaxe 4g modem help or hinder the modem in this rom?
3) Im getting a "clock has stopped" notice constantly, I disable in apps but it reappears now n again.
4) Boot animations, are they possible to replace and how. I have a Simpsons one ,in System/Media,as bootanimation.zip but the only thing that happened was it went to "android" word logo (default?). so now the 4.4.4 bootani is gone but boots logo, 4 different zips,same result.
