Is there an app that can quiet the phone when it's charging?
Turn down various volumes
Disable notification tones
Etc

I have been using Shush - http://www.appbrain.com/app/shush-ringer-restorer/com.publicobject.shush
You turn your ringer down to silent or vibrate - then specify how long until it comes back on. Not the same as using for charging, just throwing out ideas for ya.

I use bedside (night clock) from the market, its alot cheaper than the other ones. You can customize it to just silent when you plug the charger in, or it can silent and come up with a night time clock, like the bedside mode blackberry has, which is why I chose it... it has alot of options, and its only 1.79...give it a shot. Im too new to post a link, just search bedside mode in the market, it has a pic of a white bed on a black background

I just moved to the Maxx from a GNex that I've been using Carbon Rom (and Liquid before that). These Roms had settings built in that allowed me to mute sounds other than the phone on a schedule. Is this somewhere in the settings I haven't found or do we need to use something like Silent Hours from the Play store?
If we need to use a 3rd party solution, is there something better than Silent Hours?

Check out "Assist," which comes pre-installed in the app drawer. It has a sleep mode that mutes everything, but there are options to allow calls from favorites and/or anybody who calls twice within five minutes.

Totally agree on checking out Moto Assist already on your phone but I am still using Tasker for this and it is working great as always!
Can you point me in the right direction to set up Tasker without learning some wild mix of Cobol and Fortran ?
The issue I have with Assist is that callers need to call twice or be marked as a favorite. I'd like ALL calls to come through but leave everything else silent at night.

Llama can do that, and it's a lot easier to set up than Tasker. After yo install it, change the Quiet profile to have a normal volume ringtone and a zero volume notification tone (Llama will try to protest that post-ICS that these volumes are linked, but you can tell it to set the volumes normally, as we all know they are discrete on the Maxx), and then go to the Events tab and adjust the timing of the Quiet at night event to how you want it to be (for timing; you an also delete the home condition if you like.)

Here is my tasker profiles and task that I've been tweaking for quite a few years now. It turns on if you are charging by either AC outlet or wireless and turns off if any call comes in, cancel it via the notification or take if off charging. It auto turns back on if still charging and the call has ended.
I find this method better as opposed to time based silent mode, as the weekend my sleep pattern is a little bit later compared to the work week. Enjoy! :victory:

Thanks for sharing! I've just loaded your profiles and task into Tasker... without Cobol nor Fortran!
I'll try this over the next few days and see how this works.

Not a problem! Let me know what you think or if you have any questions about them.
Hello,
I am frustrated to have no more control over this option. Perhaps I am awaiting too much, but a simple switch to control the Battery Low led -> is that too much for Samsung? I can see the percentage in AOD, so I must not have the LED blink when battery is low.
Did anyone find out how to disable only that message? Truely I can disable all messages (set the complete LED to off) but this I don't want.
Thanks @ all
Dirk

I would also like to be able to disable this and the charging status led setting. It was available on previous Samsung phones before the s6 series but for some reason they removed the option under led setting and changed the option to either have the led on or off.

Never seen gravity box before. Installed Gravity Box [MM] and tested some functions. Because it is for AOSP the most functions does not seem work.
But disabling Battery LOW Led seems to work, now I am on 15% and no LED is on
Thank you in advance
if you are root , you can try gravaty Box ,and it have this control. but i hope you know the harm of root.

I also customized the buttons, long press, double tap, etc... Removed media volume change, force media volume instead of ringtone, removed volume warning. There's lots of stuff

Hello,
explecitely this are the things which are not working for me. I wanted to set long press on homebutton, but this does not work. Btw, surely I can confirm that the Battery Low LED is now disabled, but the green "Battery fully charged" LED seems also to be disabled, but for me this is no problem. Perhaps some interferences with my echoe rom V12?
Thanks

I enjoy the Always On display, but I don't want the battery drain while I'm sleeping. Does anybody know of a way to schedule it to toggle off? I wish it was an option in the Do Not Disturb menu.
Thanks.
BTW: I've tried to create a recipe in Automate, but I think their AOD option is in ref to the Galaxy S8.
I know this isn't really a great answer but I just turn my phone over so it's face down beside my bed. That way it turns the display off like being in my pocket.

I tried Macrodroid and it's AOD control didn't work for me. I do what marty does and turn it over now.
With the USB port taken by headphones at night, I can't plug in. So, I'm more concerned with battery consumption than ambient light.

Sorry. I missed that bit. Sometimes the easiest answer is the best.
Hi All
I just switched from an OP3 to an OP7.
I am missing very much the notification led for when the phone was charging... :'(
Any wau to go around that?
thanks
Reagrds
Luca
No for the moment... Same happened to me
There's an app called notify buddy but you'll miss ambient display
I saw the app, but I cannot add notification for gmail or for charging
I'm still waiting for my OP7 to arrive and I'm already missing the LED notifications..
I mean... how do you know if a telephone is charging without an LED?? :/

You can't... Just move the phone and see on ambient display if it's charging...
That also bothers me a lot buuut is one con vs a lot of pros for this phone. I hope some day there's an addon for ambient display (even on magisk module) to make a "notification led" under the notch

Did you toggle it on/off?
Is setting in wear app reflecting the same setting on watch?
I'm not having this issue.
Perhaps its a setting in the watchface itself?
Settings are the same. Only thing that stops it is power save. It used to be ok, just suddenly changed.
I have the same issue. Same with the heart monitor lights. My watch 3, when it would go onto DND at night, all lights, display and sounds were off. Now when it goes into DND and you get "busy" in the bed, it looks like a freaking disco room! Even turning HR off completely and putting it in power save mode, theater mode or sleep mode, it still does it. Seems like a huge fail on a very basic long standard DND. And why when you put it in sleep mode, does it force the phone's screen in black and white???? What genius thought of doing that without any option to disable it????
Had watch update this evening, problem has been fixed
