[Live Wallpaper] The beginning (post your LWP here if you want)

Well since Daneshm90 released his modified version of [Live Wallpaper] Custom Creater from andrew121, I've been playing around with it and I created some wallpapers... i will create some more so if you like them request different LWP (or diff background colors) and when i got time I'll post em here.
Also if you want, post your LWP in this thread I don't mind

Awesome live wallpapers!
Although the "eat sleep android" wallpaper would make a cool boot animation IMO.

loving the live wallpapers,looking forward to alot of good ones coming out.. i like darker backrounds so waiting on one that fits

I really liked this one. Subtle enough, then tried to download.... Damn, its 21 megs! That about the same size as the install of Google Earth!

yeah that's the problem.....the LWP made using Daneshm90's LWP creater are all huge sizes
I made one with about 100 images and it was around 20 megs too...

I don't think its the script ;p
U gotta lower the color bit depth. Ill show u by uploading a slimmed version of the buff lwp.

Can someone post a step by step tutorial on how to convert a gif to a live wallpaper exactly? I get the process but want to know how to convert a gif.

Oh yeah I know...I wasn't saying that the script was the problem....i'm just saying that this method is....but you are right, by lowering color depth and some other features i guess it can be better

Thanks. If anyone is wondering, the dialer and the regular font is different so you wont be seeing any roman numerals anywere else.

I'm actually near Albany. Damn air rave. When I'm at home that's what shows up. If I walk outside I'm in oakfield again. Kennesaw is 3 hours away. Lol

I think da fonts. I do have a flashable but its on the phone and Im charging it right now so give me a little bit and I'll post it.
dased14, I'm making a video of the boot right now. I'll also post a separate .zip for it too. Maybe somebody has some better software than me and can cut the size down a little bit. 1/4 of my whole theme is boot.

Had anyone actually flashed it yet? It has worked for me on Evokings grapeape, fresh and my own stripped down version of the stock rom but That is all I've tried.

That keyboard is actually a Bad Seed Custom Theme. I skinned it and fernando did his hex code magic on it. Looks awesome with this theme!! Good job homie!!

[Boot Animation] Sega Genesis Sonic boot up

The last console I owned was a Sega Genesis... Not much of a gamer now but this makes me nostalgic. This is my first crack at making something like this so go easy on me!
I made audio to go along with it.. it syncs up well on my Evo running CM7.. Adds some swooshing sounds while sonic runs by and the ever popular SEEEEGGGGAAAAAAAAA sound.

How do you get the sound to work? I've tried adding sounds files to different boot animations by copying the file to /system/media but it's never worked for me.

Not sure about other AOSP roms.. I am running CM7.
To get it working under CM7, I first flashed the transformers audio zip from this link:

It includes a script which enables boot screen audio.
Then, replace the android_audio.mp3 file in /system/media with any other mp3 -- in this case, you would use the one I have provided.. just rename to android_audio.mp3.

No idea.. I ripped the frames from a youtube video of it.. I am not an advanced photoshop user. =) Probably would be pretty easy for someone who is.

Anyone have a Star Wars bootanimation? Something from IV, V, or VI? Something having to do with Vader or anything Dark Side-ish. Ive seen the Stewie one, but I was wanting more of an authintic / Sleek look.

Thanks. Ill check it out. Im at work and youtube is blocked but Ill slap it into my bootanimation folder and see how it looks. Ill let you know.

I used ES File Explorer to place on my systme and the clip is good, but when it loops the video the picture seems to resize and jump before looping again. Like I said I couldnt check the youtube clip, but thats just about what I was looking for. Thanks!

i try and take a look at the resizing issue a little later and i, ll post the fixed up verison
edit: found the lone pic that made it look like it jumped, posted the fix verison in the op. got to love batch converison

i can change that, and as to your ? earlier, i use gimp to crop,resize(getting photoshop this week)and keepvid.com to dl youtube clips and pngoptimizer to clean up png

if on sense based rom you dl the one with .zip in the end
if on asop rom(cm7,ect)use media.zip. you put on sdcard goto recovery, wipe cache,dalvik and make a nand backup, scroll down to flash from sdcard,find bootanimatiom hit power button to flash and then again for reboot

I ended up creating one as well.
Its based off of Godzson's bootanimation, and I added alil bit to make it my own.

I have tried to keep each wallpaper as close to the essence of each rom as possible and as limited to my ability. The wallpapers are categorized in accordance to the ROM names.
The second and third posts have the wallpapers at both resolutions - scrollable (1600 x 1280) and static (800 x 1280).
The original wallpapers can be downloaded from the .zip file attached with the second post.

Still in need of mirror link for v4. the russian link is not working too. Criskelo that one link is doing too much trouble. Its like 18th time i downloaded the file and the servr disconnected me at 80 %. Now its becoming frustrating. The only option left is to try some otger rom.

Crop? But they are all native SGN screen size...

Ya it seems really wierd. I download the asylum one and upzip it. Then when I go to set it it makes me crop it which zooms in the picture so much that I cant see what it is. Not sure whats going on. Ill keep trying to figure it out but any help would be nice.
