[Q] No 3g connection - Droid 2 Global General

Hi,
I bought a Droid 2 global, which I after somewhile got running on Pageplus as provider, with the ##7764726 (program) function.
I rooted it manually which worked perfect. But when i installed fission via fission rom manager lite, i lost my 3g connection. I can still call and text but i cant go on the internet. Wifi works. I have tried to restore to my backup but that doesnt work.
Does anyone have any idea what to do? Or any good suggestions.
Thanks in advance.

Hey everyone, I'm getting tired of being ignored on this forum so I'm asking here now. Can I run a Droid 2 Gingerbread Rom on my Droid 2 Global? I know that there's a patch out there that I can apply but, will it work or not because no one has mentioned this that I can find and I've been looking for two weeks.
I posted this question last night and have been ignored and not answered as well.
Thanks for the help any one who answers me here.

[Q] Need Help Please

I have a question about my phone. I'm running a custom ROM and the update for Gingerbread is out. Now since my phone was in my pocket I didn't realize the message popped up to update it and now it's downloading the new update. Can I stop it? If so how. Or should I let it download? Or will that brick my phone? Thanks for the help. Using a Droid X by the way.

no worries, the update will just fail to install
no problem
Thanks guys! Now one more question. I am ultimately trying to go back to stock so I can get Gingerbread. Since I'm using ROM Manager(I've only used two ROMs), I use the oldest date to restore my phone back to "stock" root correct? And then do I use Z4 root to "un"-root my phone? Appreciate it. (Droid X btw).

[Q] Help XT720 not connecting to data network

I just rooted and upgraded my Xt720 to 2.2.1. Since then, it is getting an inconsistent wifi signal and will not connect to the data network at all. Please help
P.s. have this is my first time of ever rooting and first android phone.
Which ROM did you flash? You might need to set your APN.

I hope you realize you're not helping us help you. We're blind--we can't read minds and we can't see your phone or guess at your service provider and most of us have grown out of playing 20 questions. http://catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html
Anyway, I think you probably need to set your apn. Some carriers seem to need some manual configuration (Canadian carriers seem to come up a lot in the forum, but I don't know what is your carrier). This has been covered a few times in the forum, you should be able to find some ideas using search.

Many thanks. Fixed it. Called my service provider who sent new APN settings.

In a word, don't try. Have a look at this thread which will help you turn your Canadian Wifi Xoom into the US based Google Experience Device (GED) which will be MUCH easier to work with. I did it months ago, and I haven't looked back.

[Q] Bricked HTC One X Plus HELP!!!

OK first off apologies for being such a noob idiot. I've converted from years of iPhones and thought it would be easy to root a HTC One X Plus. I've owned one for around 24hrs now and it's spent most of it's time being broken.
I've have searched high & low for an answer and checked all other posts for fix's but I still can't get this working. I am a complete newbie to Android so please spell things out.
I've basically got it in a state now where it boots but no wifi or carrier - bluetooth seems ok. wifi just says error when trying to enable.
I used Hassons tool for the phone, but unfortunately when it got to kernel options in the tutorial I got a bit lost. I flashed the kernel and since then I have no wifi etc. so I'm guessing I've used the wrong one.
I don't know which to use and to make things worse now I can't seem to find the correct RUU so I can revert back to factory settings.
Model HTC One X Plus - O2 UK
Can somebody please help? Thanks.
Well, congratulations, you have NOT bricked your phone. From what i can understand, you just flashed a kernel not supported on your phone. You can download any ROM for your phone and flash it. It will hopefully solve your issue

Well that's a relief, thanks. I think this must be the route of the problem obviously as I could only find 2 kernels that I thought were compatible.
Anybody know if there is a list of compatible kernels for a HTC One X Plus O2 UK???
Thanks again.

Questions about stock rom

Let me first say hello I am new to this forum. I am new to rooting/flashing when it comes to androids. I have a Verizon Motorola Droid Razr HD XT926 which I am trying to fix for a friend. It is stuck on the red eye and will not boot. I understand I will need to re-flash the software, and I understand the steps I need to take to re-flash using RSD lite. My problem is I cannot find a download for the stock rom, nor am I 100% sure which one I need. My friend has no interest in rooting, so I just need it back to stock. I do not know what software version is currently on the phone. Is there a way to find out with the phone not booting? Or does this even matter? Can I just flash the latest official version? And that is my main problem, which version to use, and where to find the download for it. I have searched around for some time and cannot find a definite answer on this. Thanks alot, any help with this would be amazing!
Your best bet is to just flash the latest one. You can get it from here: http://www.drdevs.com/devs/FXZ-files/XT926 (Droid RAZR HD)/ . The last one on the list is the latest.
