[Q] Galaxy S unlock issues - Samsung Galaxy S (4G Model)

I had successfully unlocked my galaxy s using the procedure suggested on the related XDA forum.. the phone worked fine with a different network later on i accidently clicked the factory reset option.. now although the phone says its unlocked but i cannot see any network signal and the phone does not work on any sim card.
Pls can someone help
PS: I can switch on the phone and perform all other functions.

Have you tried unlocking it again using the same method? I know that's fairly obvious but if you haven't give it a try, maybe there's a file missing or something.

yes i have tried unlocking again.. no help.. i tried reinstalling the firmware and unlocking.. it doesnt work.. actually the code *#7465625# returns a result saying the phone is not locked..

turns out that the software factory reset isn't all that effective and i tried the the hard reset by entering the code *2767*3855#... it worked like a charm and this time I had the carrier signal !!!!

[Q] Locked out??

Hi,
First of all I hope this has not been covered, I searched but found nothing.
I recently bought an unlocked Captivate from the US, I am in Australia. I put my sim in and all was good. Used it for about 4 weeks and then one day turned it on and said on the screen 'you have entered an incorrect unlock code, please contact service provider.'
Now I never entered a code or even had a chance to enter a code. Now it will not let me use any sim at all or even give me a chance to enter and unlock code, which I have obtained using the one click unlock found in this forum.
The phone is rooted but was working fine when rooted originally.
Can someone help? I can still use phone with wifi just not sim. I have tried a hard reset and that still has the same problem. I have tried flashing it back to an older rom, same deal.
What can I do? I can't even enter an unlock code to get it unlocked.
All sim based devices have a PUK code...contact your provider, ask for it and then try to unlock your phone till it ask for it...then you can reset it...that'd what I would do.

If you happened to take a nandroid backup, try restoring to that.I'm not sure whether reflashing the rom is enough to reset the counter though.

[Q] No sim card - no service after unlocking

Hi all, I think I looked everywhere for similar issue, including xda, but no luck. I got my "new" Sensation yesterday and, obviously, I wanted to have a custom rom as I do on my Desire. So I unlocked the bootloader and flashed both recovery and new rom (yes, the phone is still S-ON because I just couldn't get it to S-OFF, no matter what method I tried there was always an issue and I couldn't complete the procedure. if it's important I can explain in details what I tried/not tried). Right now it sits on CM-10.2 | AOSP 4.3 Jellybean [KANG] with 4EXT recovery. Everythin is fine however the phone is locked to O2 and I'm with T-Mobile. I tried to get the phone to S-OFF in order to remove the simlock myself but as I mentioned, no luck. So I got pissed off and I bought the unlock pin code. I've inserted my T-Mobile card, phone asked for the pin, I've entered it and boom, phone is unlocked. Great, I think to myself... well not really. One, the phone just won't get the signal (and I tried putting it to GSM mode only) and two, every time I reboot it the message to enter network pin come up . So I enter the code again and that's the end of the loop. Tried hard reset after entering the pin code but after a reboot it would still ask for the unlock pin and then won't pick up any signal. I've tried giffgaff sim card and that works straight away (as it works under O2) so it's not the phone issue (well, not the sim card port anyway).
Any ideas/solution/questions a-ny-thing would be greatly appreciated as I'm about to rage quit and give up on it .

Hi,
Could it just be the t-mob sim card?
Is there any chance to get a new one from them?

Thought that but the card works fine in my Desire. Never had any problems with it. What gets me is that constant message asking for the network pin after rebooting the phone. Surely once the code is entered the phone is unlocked ...
If I can't find any solution by monday I'll visit their shop and ask for a new sim or I'll just move my number to giffgaff >_>
Obviously if anyone has any solutions or ideas feel free to share them and I will be sure to try them. I'd really appreciate it!!
Sorry for double post

[Solved][Q] Wheres my droid + factory reset = unable to unlock phone from lockscreen

My brother sold my mum his old phone and used factory reset, forgetting that he installed where's my droid, it was locked. He hoped that flashing (only updated so far to ICS), would unlock the device.
Unfortunately it did not. And I believe I need to be able to access the device to root it, with the method I'm following.
Is anybody familiar with where's my droid and whether the locking is permanent? Does the control panel (if there is one? for WMD) allow you to manage devices like Google's device manager?
This is really stressful, I am at a loss with what can be done.
Oh wow, I feel like a right sod.
Apparently you can't unlock this device without a sim card, after a factory reset. Once a sim card was inserted, it just worked.
