I am using cognition 4.2 with 4.0.1 cogkernel. I am using the GTG TWZ launcher with 5 icons dock without landscape mode. My titanium backup is foreclosing whenever I am trying to run batch. I uninstalled and reinstalled. I cleared the cache.etc etc.but the FCs persist. Can anyone help?
Update: I was stupid. I messed up with a setting..it works..

I've been flashing roms for a little while now and using titanium backup to speed up the process. Does anyone know why some apps will constantly force close after restoring a backup thru TB? Its fixed only by uninstalling the app and reinstalling the apk or from the market.

Hey guys. I need help.
So I have a home replacement because the twlauncher wont work sense i set Regina 3D launcher on default. Even when I uninstall the app. the only way I can get the twlauncher to work is when I factory data reset it. Is there any way I can get the twlauncher back with reseting the phone?

Did you try going to settings, applications, manage, all then going down to the launcher you had installed and clearing defaults?

Install another launcher (LP, ADW, Go etc...) - so you have two, uninstall TW Launcher / wipe dalvik / reinstall TW Launcher, uninstall other launcher?

Maybe get another copy of the .apk?
have you gone into settings - applications and cleared the DATA for tw launcher? once you do this, try to fix permissions in cwm and see what happens.

On my epic 4g. Cyanogen mod 9. I installed chomp and uninstalled the stock messaging client. I was no longer getting messages so i restored the stock with titanium backup and now whenever i get a message it crashes. When i try to open the stock app to disable notifications it just tells me sorry messaging has stopped. I tried clearing cache and dalvik with no luck.

I've looked and I can't find anything on this. Is there a way to edit build.prop or something to suppress this update? I've tried several roms, there is always something that does not work. I could live with it but my security camera software is not connecting on the latest attempt, I'm perfectly happy with what I had. I haved restored back but the notification persists.
Freeze the system app "sdm 1.0" using an app like Titanium Backup. After doing this, any time you try to check for updates in Settings, it will force close.

Thanks! It is frozen and it force closes as you said! Great!
Great! Will have to try it later this week, after I restore what I had before the OTA. Thanks.
