i can hook it up and it finds my sd card drive no problem but it will not mount internal to save my life. any tips?
Good point. That definitely needs fixing. I never had a problem with my G2 but the TB won't mount for ****.
Serious bug. I bet it's a root deterrent.
I believe the 8gb internal is used for apps not emmc like the incredible so there will be mounting it.

Hey guys!
Last friday, I finally got my Toshiba TG01, which came with a 8GB Class 4 microSDHC card.
I didn't put it in my phone, since there's a virus on some of these cards!
Now I want to format the card with my Windows XP computer, but when I try to access it with a SD card adapter, it freezes my Explorer...
It gets stuck until I put the card out of it!
I also tried a USB adapter on my Vista PC and it only tells me this:
"Please insert a disk into Removable Disk ( H: )."
Same thing on the XP PC.
Can anyone help me?
sounds like a defect microSD card
Try disabling the autostart feature and then use the Panasonic SD formatting software.
yip know the feeling, the cheap card that came with my HD does the same, although it still works perfectly with my device and is accessable using a/sync.
Going to buy a good make class 6
well id put it in the phone then put the phone into the pc and make it a usb mass storage device
then if it can be seen then awesome format it
the card wont have any affect of the phone its it plugged into the pc as a mass storage device as the phone cant se it
Try reformatting the card, to fat32 using hp's low level format tool it worked for me.
my card is fat32, pc using xp pro still wont recognise it using card reader, although all is fine in disk drive and active sync......no real biggy....
it may be a defective reader
Hi all, just wanted to add something to this, as I have a TG01, and have had a few issues with memory cards with it. This is something I poseted on http://www.modaco.com/content/toshi...5/strange-files-appearing-on-my-storage-card/
"Hi folks, just thought I would update you with a few issues I'v had re the memory cards. I've used the ones supplied by Toshiba, (not the best) but also a Sandisk 16GB and 8GB, and both suffered corruption issues. It took about a hour to copy most of the files over to my laptop, and to do that, I had to put the mem card in my Touch Pro! I'm not sure what this means, as some people have said they have had no issues. It would be interesting to see what proportion of us actually suffer from memory card corruption using other brands! Looks like I may have to carry a backup of my mem card for a while!!... "
I'm not the only the only one with issues, as a few others on that forum have had them too. Wish i knew what was causing it. May have to go back to the old reliable Touch Pro untill we get the promised upgrades?..
Lets hope not.........
nope its not the reader, bought a new one last week as i thought it may have been that. Im sures its something to do with micro sdhc cards and just being made baldy.... cheap is nto always good huh...............
mm thought id add a poll to the thread, would be interesting to see whats the worst offender.......
Let me know if your brands not there, ill add it
Hi, have you already tried this??
http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/...g-folder-or-corrupt-in-windows-mobile-device/
i got a replacement xoom and when i tried putting in a memory card in it, the memory card would get stuck. i managed to get it in but now it gets super hot when its plugged in the xoom. any reasons why?
I would remove it very carefully but it sounds like something is wrong. One of the metal prongs/leads/whatever on the card may have gotten skewed and could be causing mischief.
actually i think its the memory card cuz i put another one in and that one works and doesnt get hot. by the way the memory card i tried first i had it in my evo and then a few days back i had a notification saying blank SD card, do you think thats the problem?

it sounds like your memory card has either gone corrupt or is trying to. I would suggest backing up your data on that card. I say this because the memory card that I have for my Droid 2 started doing that as well as *uninstalling* all my apps that I placed on the SD card (saying that the files were never there and such, but when placed on my Windows 7 computer, it would be there,) and then would bog my phone down while trying to read the card. I tested to make sure it was not the phone itself (which it would have sucked!) and the same thing happened in two other android phones, proving it was the SD CARD because other (as well as newer too) SDCARDS I had laying around and none of them had this trouble. Even a SD Card testing APP on the market said "Uh yeah... it's dying!"
Because Android is on a linux flavor, it likes to KNOW EVERYTHING on the card or it just does not care for it and then treats it like a blank card. I would suggest that if you want to try and salvage the card, do a quick format AND I WANT TO MAKE THIS CLEAR: to the same file allocation system (aka Fat16 to fat 16, Fat 32 to fat 32, NTFS to NTFS. DO NOT CHANGE THIS unless you know what you are doing!) Also note DO NOT do a full format because this will write to every sector of the SD Card, and that is really really bad for the SD card as well as any flash memory...
A quick format just goes over the file allocation tables (a table that stores information for where the information is located on the card) and then try it again. If problem persists, call manufacturer of the card or where you got the card originally (evo = call htc, droid 2 = call motorola, ETC) and see if it is still under warranty.
Good Luck and I hope I helped you out some
Hey I know this is a pretty simple question, but it's one of those "I'm way overthinking it" kind of things.
I bought a 16 gb micro SD card, and I want to put all the music on my phone, onto that.
I have the HTC Evo 4g LTE, and I'm currently running AOKP rom.
I have a few songs on my phone at the minute, but I'm trying to save space on the internal memory, so I'm trying to get it on the micro SD.
I plug it into my computer and set it to Mass USB storage, but it's bringing up my SD card as my CD drive and I can't modify anything on it.
Not a major problem, but I would really like to know how to do it, thanks!
Hello all,
I have a few questions regarding the T699...
Just got one off eBay, and I'm noticing my 64 GB microSD card is causing problems. Not sure if maybe the phone only supports 32GB and I have a problem, or what? I've noticed that when I try to install things via CWM it has issues off/on. It'll go partially through an install and then complain that the file is bad -- CyanogenMod (the latest release from this month that was marked SNAPSHOT) was also constantly mounting/unmounting the SD Card back and forth. I'm thinking it could be the card, but I'm not sure.
CM was also crashing on Trebuchet and a few other things... so I kind of convinced myself it was that.
It *could* be the phone -- but I'm not sure -- I just wanted to ask here and hopefully get some answers beforehand.
Sorry, I hate to double post, but I feel this is important and worth double-posting...
So, I've noticed that it doesn't have external or internal SD card slots right. The internal SD card seems to have another folder, "0" that it creates that it accesses, and the external SD card slot isn't working/showing up. Seems like this all happened with Jellybean...
Any thoughts/changes/adjustments?
The relay has a micro-SDHC card slot, which only supports up to 32GB. Apparently there's hypothetical backwards compatibility from SDXC (64GB and up) to SDHC (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secure_Digital#SDXC It's on the internet, it must be true...), but I can't say whether the Relay supports this, as I've never tried it. Considering your experience, probably not.
Regarding internal vs. external, the internal sd has always been the primary on the relay. The internal sd seems like it's supposed to be mounted as the folder 0, and it's also mounted in a few other spots (/sdcard, /mnt/sdcard, /storage/sdcard0). I don't remember when I first noticed the 0 folder showing up instead of just /mnt/sdcard, but it still seems to work just as well. The external, if it worked (which it does for me), would be mounted as /storage/sdcard1 /mnt/extSdCard and /extSdCard (it doesn't seem to create a folder just named "1" anywhere).

Other posters on the web (from what I've seen) said that the Relay supports 64GB... and have successfully done it with my card, I believe. Maybe I should try a 32GB or smaller and see if it works without any issues? I have a Captivate Glide, which is an older phone, and it supported it just fine. But I think there is something weird going on with how things are being mounted in the system...
I had no luck with my Sandisk 64 gig card. It lives in my laptop now.
It's a good card and it's not a fake. I'm savvy enough to use good hardware.
I gave the 64 gig a spin with stock and CM ICS and JB. No luck.
It may work on some devices--provided you get a genuine card with a quick transfer rate. But, it sure doesn't work for mine.
My advice is to backup all your data and keep a 32 gig card handy. My 64 gig eventually ended up being one big LOST folder.
It works great in my laptop, though...

Wow. I google'd and found a few reports of folks who had them working. And mine worked great in Cappy Glide.
I did find a Class 6 16GB from my Sammy Epic and that seems to work great and without any issues. I guess that's where to go from here!

How much space are you using on it? Some folks are suggesting it only works/supports 32GB -- but will DISPLAY the full size. Have you bothered to go over 32GB in data on it? Supposedly THAT is what causes it to have issues -- also what ROM are you on?

I'm on a CM10.2 custom image, and no, I don't think I've yet gone above 32GB on it. I've had over 20 on it before, though.

As a follow up, I just filled up my SD card twice, no problems.
For me, files and folders mysteriously disappeared (wished away to the LOST.DIR "cornfield"..) over the course of weeks... So, I wouldn't expect to immediately experience anything out of the ordinary.. Rebooting the device often seems to accelerate the process..
Anyhow, if it works for your device that's a great thing. Additional storage is always welcome.
I'm wondering if you're having the same problem as I had on the one I returned. Did yours randomly reboot? Files went to zero byte size?
It happened on mine, tried two cards, a G-Skill 8GB and a Kingmax 32GB. Both cards worked fine on other phones.
Hello everyone, i have an UBTEL_U8 china phone octacore with Android 4.2.1. It only has 1gb of internal memory plus 12gb of rom. For this reason, beacuse i can't move apps to rom memory, i need an sd card to move apps on. I bought a Lexar 16gb class 6 sd card 4 months ago, and everything works fine until yesterday. I used link2SD app for moving apps to sd and i made a partition ext2 into the sd with AParted app.
everythig works fine, until i had to dismount my sd from phone and mount it again, because i had to change the partiton format in ext4 to ext2 (no really good reason to do this, i was trying if it was faster to moving data then ext2 filesytem). Once dismounted, wheni tried to mount my sd, the phone says that it's damaged!!! I inserted it with the Lexar card reader into the pc but tells me that i have to format, but if i try to format it's not working...
The same thing happened with another lexar 16gb card on my previous china phone, it broke my sd during charching!!! when it was charching the touchpad went crazy and system unstable and when i removed the phone from charching the memory was dead.. It's not done yet.
I had another china phone that stole my on march, a copy of Note 3. My sd card broke with no reason.. but i was using a similar app to link2SD for extend memory (apparently all china phones have only 1gb internal memory... why!!!!???)
So, in 1 year i changed 3 phones, 3 china phones, and all of them destroyed my sd cards... Now i want to know if it's possible to save the sd cards, and i want to know if the problem is really inside the phone, or it can be fault of linking apps to sd, and so if it's fault of link2sd and Aparted.
Next time what sd i have to buy? a quality one that resists to china phones maybe..
Thank you for you help..
