Hey guys,
My gallery doesn't display the pictures that i have in my SD card. The stock music player has the same problem with music (Cant locate them).
Ive first encountered this problem with my stock ROM and then Ive upgraded to Modaco's Gr14, and the same issue is there.
Is there a way to force the gallery and music player to search???
Not sure if it's even possible at to happen on the stock ROM, mount the sdcard on your computer, check if there's any ".nomedia" file, remove them if you find any. Also if you have "Dev tools" in your drawer (might be a CM7 feature, can't remember), there's Media Scan, which I think forces a manual scan.
Thanks Si_NZ , really appreciated, I just deleted ".nomedia" files and my photos started to appear in my gallery and music in my music player.

Good morning,
I have really ben enjoying my TnT Lite 4.24 g Tab. However, I am having problems accessing all of my music on the sdcard2. I am sure it is user error, so hopefully someone can help me out.
All of my music was synced directly to the card on my Windows 7 laptop through Windows Media Player. All of the music is on the card. I then installed the card into the G Tab and turned it on, giving the G Tab a few minutes to scan the card (I think it does that) I start the Music app, but only a couple albums are avaialble. Why would this be?
Using ES Explorer, I see all the albums are there and can even play the music from ES Explorer, but not the Music app.
Any idea on what I may have one incorrectly getting the music onto the card, or how to fix this?
Thanks or any help!
Mark
I finally gave up storing music on the external sdcard. I have the best luck when I put all of my music and videos on the internal card. And the problems existed with the built in music app, and winamp.
Music Problems too
Hello,
I am also having problems with music files...my albums all show, however, some of the albums have songs appearing from completely different artists/albums...it's as if some index is corrupt or not properly compiled.
I'm running TnT Lite 4.4 and I've copied all of my music to the internal SD card. I've downloaded the WinAmp app and have the same problem as with the stock music player installed with the ROM.
Is there a way to rebuild the index? Or does such a thing exist?
Any ideas?
TIA...
hey guys,
in Music, whenever I go to Artist --> albums, and select an album, it always shows the wrong album.
for example, in Artist ABC, there is album 1 and album 2. When I choose album 2, the track listing would appear for album 1. Then, when I press Back button, music app would force close.
I already tried clearing cache and rebooting.
any idea?
Use PlayerPro
Sorry, I haven't had that issue but you might try deleting any data related to HTC Music on your SD Card, clearing the app cache with your SD card unmounted and then reintroducing your sd card and trying again!
found this out last month. no real fix. I just use a different player now or sort by albums

I am running AOKP build 39 on my skyrocket. The only issue I am having is all the system sounds, i.e. ringtones notifications, etc are appearing in any music player I download. I have place .nomedia files in everywhere I can find. I reboot, they are gone for a minute and the reappear. Help please.
Thank you.
I'm assuming you were on skyics earlier? Since you are using AOKP now, you don't need the systemui sounds on your external sd card anymore. You can delete sdcard/media/audio/ui. If that's NOT the case and the music player is reading those files from /system/media, then I can't answer your question. I already got myself into a world of sht trying to figure out how to get the music player to read what I want it to earlier today.
Also, if that IS the case, after you delete the external media audio, before reboot, go to manage apps and clear data for the music player and the media storage.
I have a few album arts in my music folders, but I want to stop them from showing up in the gallery. I tried putting a .nomedia file in, BUT then the big problem is that play music doesn't show my music anymore.
Any ideas how to solve this?
I don't use the stock Gallery app for displaying my pictures. A much more powerful and useful gallery app is QuickPic, which I definitely recommend. On top of many other features, you can choose to exclude specific folders/directories so they don't appear as one of your albums. This should solve your problem.
I was having no problem playing music through the stock HTC music player and Google music off of the SD card.
Added new albums and they didn't show up.
Made the mistake of clearing the Media Storage data to refresh the music and once I did that I can't get the stock photo or music player to recognize the existing files or the older ones.
Fx file manager sees them fine and I tried JetAudio but it can't find the music either.
any suggestions?
got the photos back but still can't get the music apps to find my albums from the SD card.
am I missing something simple here?
