G tablet has no modules 3G/GSM
The post above is correct, because there is no celluar hardware there is no need for an IMEI so the manufacturer just gives a serial number instead to identify the unit.

Hi All,
i searched in the forum but i don't found the same problems.
i bought, few days ago, a Jiayu G2F. The smartforms is new and "normal", so isn't unblocked.
Unfortunatelly the 3G connection doesn't works, so the smartphone uses always the Edge connection.
i tried to change th Band Mode using Mobileuncle, but when i select the SIM, the system shows an error message.
Following details:
com.android.phone error
Android version: 4.2.2
I live in Italy.
Have you suggestions to resolve this problem?

where did you buy it from? The 3G version is out Just yet.. and AFAIK hasn't been shipped yet.
The TDSCDMA version has been launched months ago. I suspect you got the TSCDMA... if that's a TSCDMA version you can't get 3G on it.. only Edge...

thank you for the answer. i bought it from LLUDOS site.
i checked your suggestion and is corrects. i read in the network properties that is a TSCDMA version.
Can i workaround this problem? o there aren't solutions.

contact the seller and ask for the replacement. in some cases they may replace provided you pay for the shipping. otherwise WiFi speeds are not bad either....

Ive bought a new htc m8 in turkey and it has a fake imei as you have to register your imei when you bring a phone from outside the country. So the phone shops put a fake one. Is there a way to get the original imei back on my device? Ive only 4 language options anf my screen brightness at max is dissapointing.

no it's not problem OTAs doesn't require valid imei

Im from Turkiye. becouse i bought this phone from china. But i cant register in customs. my country not give permission illegal phone imei

Do you have a generic imei that you can see ?
if not then it is most probable that the motherboard is damaged beyond repair and the previous owner was selling it for parts.

try flashing an older version with odin. It should restore your imei.
Unless someone knows what they are doing 6.0.1 updates have caaused a lot of trouble, as some versions were not properly tested before release.
