Hello everyone, I bought a samsung s6 edge used without IMEI and baseband unknown. I have no backup of efs. I wanted to know if someone is able to pass me a backup of efs and then rewrite an IMEI certificate are the owner of the Octopus box, or if there is a way to rewrite the baseband. Do you have a generic imei that you can see ?
if not then it is most probable that the motherboard is damaged beyond repair and the previous owner was selling it for parts.

try flashing an older version with odin. It should restore your imei.
Unless someone knows what they are doing 6.0.1 updates have caaused a lot of trouble, as some versions were not properly tested before release.

Any luck with your phone...i have exactlly the same problem. As I was not able to make calls with a GSM SIM from my unlocked phone, I tried some options and my IMEI got erased... Local service centers do not have a clue to restore the IMEI and they said they can fix but IMEI should be restored...

help meeee
tab3 t211 imei is null !!!!!!!!!
To start with, is this brand new out of the box unmodded or is it running a custom rom? Also have you tried the sim in another device to rule out a faulty sim card?

[Q] htc m8 imei question

Hi guys
Ive bought a new htc m8 in turkey and it has a fake imei as you have to register your imei when you bring a phone from outside the country. So the phone shops put a fake one. Is there a way to get the original imei back on my device? Ive only 4 language options anf my screen brightness at max is dissapointing.
Im sorry if ive post it in the wrong topic.
Anyone?

why not?
Because each imei is unique.
You won't give out your id or passport to some stranger you don't know will you ?

You can not use a different IMEI for your device.
1) In most countries, this is illegal.
2) Discussion about changing IMEI is forbidden on XDA.

Never ever do that you will hardbrick your phone very badly & sometimes there is no solution than replacing the motherboard of the phone which almost cost a fortune & no usability whatever you do.
