Red swype - Droid Incredible Themes and Apps

Hey guys I'm looking for a red swype. I have been running a standard version for months now without a problem but I want a red keyboard. Is there a way I can change this?

would be nice

Good luck with that.

Several months ago one of the devs had created several different colors for swype, but I don't think they currently work on the latest beta versions.
.... I could be wrong....

anyone up for doing this for me

If only it was that simple lol what your asking for requires quite alot of work.. but there could be someone out there..

As Mobzter said, there's actually quite a fair bit of work to do what you're asking.
Each theme requires modifying a few hundred (if not more) images. Not many people are going to bother spending that much time unless they're a hardcore Newcastle United fan too. It's quite time consuming, but actually not too difficult if you want to give it a crack yourself.
Otherwise, the best would be to just change the wallpaper yourself.
As for the keyboard, you have 2 options (that I know of):
BetterKeyboard - Paid app on the market
HTC_IME - HTC style keyboard, comes with the full root package or can probably be found on this forum somewhere.
I honestly didn't realize there was so much work to be done

lol I only realised when I thought I'd give it a shot like 2wks back.. i was a newbie to this but I think im gettin better at it!
Sent from my rooted 026 X10i using swype via XDA!!
lol I just wish there was a die hard nufc fan who could do it for me
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
lol yeah it gets kinda hard now, im getting good at it too now!
Why don't you create the images and use ninjamorph to change them?
Btw I had no experience with this until I got my x10 in April. It took me countless hours but well worth it.
Sent from my X10a using XDA App
its not that I dnt wanna try its just ain't a clue wot I'm doing also have an ancient pc at the mo tho it does as I only use it for the net I couldn't do any thing high maitence lollipop
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
Haha.. u sound like u were in my position! I had no idea how to theme at all two weeks ago n im using my mums ancient laptop (really slow n cant really use any new software either) cuz my laptops charger has been messed for quite some time now!!
So u guys have pictures of your phones theme? there's bits missing for me such as default background of timescape/mediascape!
does bettercut actually change the icons within the app drawer? as for ninjamorph, I tried it but no luck! sends the file across but then my app disappeared from app drawer.. gues its an issue with signing n stuff!
Sent from my rooted 026 X10i using swype via XDA!!
Il just have to be patient and try myself when in upgrade my pc lol
Sent from my X10i using XDA App
Buddy, my newest pc is 4 years old. R u using a commodore 64 ? The only difference between using my brothers xps and my old laptop is his works faster. All u need is java, the sdk, 7zip and paint.net and they are all pretty lightweight. Try it out and let us know what your experience is like.
Btw if you want to upload a folder with images and an idea of what u want where plus learn a bit im willing to help you out. Unless u offer up a reward (which is stupid for this imo) or find someone like minded its probably not going to get made for you.

Good timing with GOW3 hitting soon! Looks great...my son has been a COD BO's nut case for the longest time and he is biting at the bit to get the upcoming release of GOW. Dased14 is outstanding at boot ani's!
Gears of war is the reason I bought an xbox 360 many years ago. I'm probably one of the biggest nerds when it comes to gears! LOL. I actually got a tattoo of a cog symbol.

will this work with any other sense 3.0 roms ??
fantastic, definatley download when done. and one thing, its just me, i like the bottom of the rosie to match the titlebar, so maybe you should try to make one..... maybe?!?!?! great job though
It should work with any 3.0 rom and I'm working on the title bar
Looking forward to this release nice work!

Replacement keyboard app

Looking for a replacement keyboard app. I currently use smart keyboard pro, its decent but looking to make a change depending on suggestions from users. Paid apps are fine, I don't mind supporting awesomeness lol.

Swiftkey X is one of the best out there. It can learn from SMS, YouTube, Facebook. You can theme it. It keeps statistics too, for what they're worth. I'd give that one a shot.

I only use smart keyboard pro. Give a few a try.
I use swiftkey x and it's awesome. Highly recommend it.
For what it's worth, I like super keyboard, the keys are the right size and I like it particularly because I can switch between and English keyboard and a Russian one, it can auto correct, you can program abbreviations which it automatically converts to the full word or words. Only complaint is the placement of the period, I tend to hit it when I hit the space bar.
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
I've used swiftkey x in the past and it couldn't keep up with my typing but that could have been the rom I was at the time too. I'll take a look at super keyboard and give swiftkey another shot.

If you're a fast typer go for Super Keyboard, it keeps right up with my fast fingers, good old NES button mashing paid off.
Swiftkey x was OK. I couldn't get with checking if the next predicted word was what I was going to be typing. It really didn't save me any time. I like flext9 personally. Even has a swype feature.

Been using it since yesterday. Its a little low on features/customization but it is very fast and responsive. It could stand to be a tad larger.

I found the size to be great just the; pretty factor isn't really there but thats okay with me as I am trying to keep memory consumption down...
Edit: just tried swiftkey x and was very disappointed. Uses over 40mb of ram that's more than my launcher ffs not only that I couldn't find a way to disable the auto space after punctuation which pisses me off beyond all belief. Skins looked really nice tho..... unistalled and refunded. Wouldn't recommend it. Go keyboard and ics keyboard ftw.

There's 2 ics keyboards for free on the market which one are you using? There's the one made by johbtanmi and the other is made by vllwp.
I tried swiftkey x again and was still disappointed.

I'm trying out the donation version by him now. I was using the one by vllwp, which worked well. The themes are the look of the keyboard. You can change the way it looks, vllwp version looks like ics. Johntanmi donation version let's you choose the look, the choices are just the same ones all keyboards can choose from, there is an option to download more though.

Best Swype Keyboard

I was wondering what do you guys think is the best swype keyboard? I've used Swype.com keyboard but was wondering if there is more customizable ones.
There are quite a few in the market. I used ultra keyboard. With that one, you can customize everything.
Slide it by a landslide

IMHO swype is the best. tried others, but none is as acurate. the new swype beta / latest swype stable, both are awesome. cheers !

SwiftKey Flow

Is anyone else really excited for this app? I am an avid SwiftKey user, and this looks like the perfect combination between Swype and SwiftKey. There's a video preview online, and it looks awesome. I'm signed up for beta testing, and I'm anticipating this greatly. Does anyone know when this beta may be released to the VIP members of their forums?

Can't wait, this will be the ultimate keyboard for me
Reports are saying VIP beta will be out in the next couple of weeks. Then full release someone in q1 of 2013

This will be the one keyboard to rule them all. I have switched between TouchPal and Swiftkey just on the swipe like function alone. But Swiftkey has always been better at predicting what you are going to say, even for my bi-lingual self (English/Spanish).
i am really excited. im so sick of the stock keyboard.
The music made it so intense. I was waiting for something to explode.! Lol

SwiftKey is awesome, but I never cared for swype. I can touch type with SwiftKey pretty well... thanks to the auto correct. I still signed up for the beta though
Signed up for the beta aswell I love swift key 3
I'm a Swype users, but will definitely switch if SwiftKey pulls this off well. I can't stand touch typing, but I also can't stand how dumb Swype is when it comes to learning my styles. Swype does have the Dragon speech recognition software built-in, though.

Sign up for VIP. You get all betas and are Emailed when available.
I like Swype, but I'm hoping this is a better replacement. I can't stand touch typing. Being able to download right from the market...all they have to do is pull off swyping and I'm in.

Oh they will pull it off! They revolutionized touch typing and they'll revolutionize swiping typing too.

I hope there will be many options for set up. I needed customized like in perfect keyboard but with SwiftKey intelligence!
