So here's the deal. my clock automatically updated to daylight savings time. and my alarm was set for 555 It did not go off until 655. Anyone else have this issue? I reset and resaved the alarm hopefully this fixes the 1 hour difference for tomorrow morning.

Didn't have my alarm set, however that's not surprising. When you set the alarm it gives you the message stating it's being set for x amount of hours from now. So it gives the impression that it's operating more as a count down timer internally rather than basing it off the actual time.

Try this:
Go in the phone ap
Go to the"world clock" tab
Long press on the city you are using
Go to "DST Settings"
Make sure it is set to "Auto"
On my phone the time in notification bar and fancy widget auto updated but the setting I pointed you to above was set to off so the alarm was still on standard time even though the phone was on DST.
Same here
Same results here and my World Clock DST was already on automatic. I'm going to recreate the alarms and test.
mine woke me up at exactly the time I set it for. I'm running Froyo 2.2.1, if that makes a difference.
I reset the alarm this appears to have worked. now if I can remember to reset this fall I'll be fine.

How do you find you very the best battery life out of your cappy??
Sent from my SGH-I897 using XDA App
Your question is too generic. There are so many factors. Are you on stock or a custom rom?
What kernel/modem are you using?
What apps/widgets do you use?
There are tons of questions, what are you running, and how long does your battery last currently?
I'm running the new phoenix rising 4.0.3 using fancy and beautiful widgets facebook widget and score center.

Off hand I am not sure what the stock kernel is with that rom, but the build you are on is relatively new. Have you calibrated your battery and done a full charge cycle? 100% to dead
Things I do
Turn off auto rotate
Wifi policy set to off when screen is off
Limit how frequently I allow my apps to sync
Turn off mobile data when on wifi
how do you limit the syncing? in 'accounts and sync'? or each app?
Each app should have options for how frequent they sync
Can you explain how to do that? I've tried searching for that option in menu and nothing...

For example fancy widget, click on app in draw, refresh settings, I refresh every 6hrs.
The sports widget probably refreshes allot. I use sports center but I stoped using the widget
I turn of background synching for.my accounts that are on my phone like email and the like.
I always keep the brightness down on my phone and when I.really need to go for a while I will underclock the phone.
Low Screen brightness, No widgets, don't allow applications to "phone home". Gmail is the only thing I keep "sync" on for. Everything else I manually refresh. I also find that weather apps tend to keep refreshing data even after you think you've closed it. I have to keep an eye on Weather Bug (not the widget). I haven't put my captivate on the charger since Friday afternoon and it's now 5 am Sunday and it's still at 35%
Wow. I think I might have damaged my battery. I've tried calibrating my battery a few times and no change. A full charge still only lasts a few hours. I miss the way my battery used to be when I first got it.

Is there any application that will trigger alarm on hourly basis?
I have found some application that will trigger sound every hour, but often i don't notice that sound, so i want actual alarm or something similar.
Try "Bellman" on the market. Can chime hourly, every half hour, or every 15 minutes.
Also, try "HourlyChime."
I don't want chime. I want alarm that will ring for some time.
I know that Alarm Clock Plus offers an hourly alarm but I have not tested it.

I'd like to know why my Nexus One when it crashes it always starts on Jan 1st 1980...
Tested Alarm Clock Plus, but only thing i was able to found was nap feature, which will trigger alarm after X minutes. But that means that i will have to set it manually each hour.

In Alarm Clock Plus try Menu, Settings, Hourly Chime Settings.
Hope that helps!

Stop using juice defender when your sleeping. Turn it on once your awake
I"m using JD Ultimate 3.8.7beta with Alarm Clock Xtreme (free)... and have no problems... but JD has a TON of settings you need to experiment with to fit your particular set of rqmts. I use Advanced settings in JDU and i have multiple alarms set in Alarm clock Xtreme... and JDU does not interfere with alarm settings.
I use alarm clock extreme as well. I set one alarm on the stock app. And one on extreme just incase
I'm having problems with mine as well and I don't use any kind of battery saving app. When I put my phone on snooze it will just turn its self off. I tried a factory reset and its still not working.

I keep trying to set the alarm And I do to a point but, it ring then turns off after a bit is there a way to set it up too keep playing till I manually turn it off ? Or just keeps repeating
It actually turns off after a minute which is unfortunate. I haven't used my phone as an alarm clock cuz I have alternative devices for that function. I suggest using "Alarm Clock Plus" as its full featured although it doesn't look as nice.

I've been using alarm clock extreme for a long time now. Tons of features, easy to use and it turns 85% of the screen into a big "snooze" button when it's going off
Since yesterday my alarm has malfunctioned. It made me late to work once, the next day I used a regular alarm clock in addition to the default one on my S7 edge and again today it came up with the alarm notification but NO SOUND. Go to "optimize battery usage" (in battery settings) and make the clock app "not optimized" in orser not to hibernate.
That did not fix it
