[APP] Tampermonkey - A Greasemonkey compatible userscript manger - Android Apps and Games

---UPDATE---
Please see this post for the more recent Dolphin Browser add-on.
---/UPDATE---
I've just ported my app Tampermonkey for Google Chrome to Android.
Please note that it is still in beta status. Atm Android 2.1 is required
market://search?q=pname:net.biniok.tampermonkey
https://market.android.com/details?id=net.biniok.tampermonkey
May be you can play a little bit with Tamermonkey and test some Userscripts.
Due to the fact that phones does not have a really fast cpu, you may have to be a little patient.
If there are non working scripts it would be nice if you could test it with Tampermonkey for Google Chrome and Chromium too.

Well, I'm very interested in scripting pages and would love to have some of my desktop browsers scripts on mobile as well. But I'd need them in my prefered mobile browser, if I have to start a different app just to get some script improvements it's not worth it to me. Dunno, maybe it's possible to inject the app into the renderer lib and work in every browser that's using the systems rendering engine?

I've always loved Greasemonkey on Firefox. I never used your extension on Chrome since Chrome natively supports user scripts(minus the some greasemonkey features, obviously.)
But, thanks a lot for this. I've been waiting for this for a long. I really wanted userscripts on Android.
I really don't use it much but it comes in handy with some of those auto-redirects and auto-submissions. Really handy. Thanks a lot.

Hey guys, nice to see that userscript support for android seems to be interesting.

I already thought about something like this cause I don't want to implement a whole browser, but a extension. I'll talk to the Dolphin developers, how to write a extension.

Ok, I know that the desktop version of Opera supports userscripts but this is new to me too. Unfortunately the opera support does as far as I know not include Greasemonkey compatibility, so the Opera mobile version may lag of this too. I'll check this. The problem is that almost all of the users just want to run ideally all scripts from userscripts.org. They don't care if the script was written for a special browser, they just want to use them. At least this is my experience with Tampermonkey for Chrome.

Try Opera Mobile (browser). It has defaultly included support for Greasemonkey scripts.
Write in address bar: opera:config
Go to: User Prefs
Check: User JavaScript, you can check also User JavaScript on HTTPS
and define script path: User JavaScript File

just make the setting point to a directory and put all the .js files in there. done.

Good work wxrjack.
Is the application in English?
Downloaded from Market and its in English. Very nice browser!
Sorry for the dumb q, but can you tell me where to disable mobile sites?
Does it use a webkit browser? I won't use any other browser if it doesn't use webkit. I am a web designer and webkit has the best mobile rendering engine. It makes the world wide web beautiful on the mobile device.
I believe it does!~ Looks awesome!
I'm actually impressed. I've been using the stock browser because every other browser I try to use, sucks.
I've tried using Opera - I hate the redering engine
I've tried using Dolphin - GUI is ugly
I've tried using every other browser under "Browser" in the app market - none are for me.
Search for "Miren" in the app market!
Webkit FTW.

You guys keep changing threads, so I don't know if you saw my post in your previous thread about mistakes in the English translation.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9416982&postcount=169
I just installed from market and I am not sure if it's only happening on my samsung transform (2.1 android).
While in Miren Broswer i press Menu>Brightness. At this screen if i swipe the brightness setting pass the lowest setting possible my whole screen goes black.
I can't do anything after that since i can't see anything. The only way to get back to my home screen with brightness again is if i press home over and over until i get lucky and it exits Miren Browser.
Another English typo
In your Android notifications for when a download is finished, you have "download completes" and it should be "Download completed"
Is there a option to open up incognito window?
Great browser.
Feels like a quality product, but how is it better than dolphin?

It's faster, cleaner, and the GUI is much better (IMO). There are other reasons, but I can't remember. I just know, I uninstalled Dolphin after using Miren for a couple days and I haven't missed it one bit!

Absolutely classy stuff here..need to work on it some more to make sure but so far this looks like a winner and my new default browser!
I will download it when I get home.
I've read plenty of great comments in the Market, and on here.
I too am a Web Developer and excited that it uses Webkit for rendering.
Can it import bookmarks from the default browser?
----- ----- ----- ----- ----- -----
EDIT: double tap to zoom, and pinch to zoom works great.
Can you implement the magnifying glass to select text from the stock browser? (Similar to the way dolphin can do it)
Thanks
Also, iirc it told me to double tap to zoom, but when I tried that, it didn't work

So I still don't know why my Firefox mobile looks like a re-skinned Dolphin Browser and yours looks like it does OP. Is that an addon or perhaps a setting in preferences?

WhatsApp for other platforms (API)

Hi guys,
Im writing an api for the whatsapp protocol so that it can be ported to other devices/architectures.
My api is nearly complete and supports the full spectrum of WhatsApp features.
I'd like to write a web client for my API so that WhatsApp can be accessed from anywhere (A pc or anything with a browser).
What type of interest is there in this type of thing and could anyone possibly help with UI development or atleast point me in the right direction. Ive never been creative or good at designing interfaces =]
Thanks,

The API is currently written in C#; but converting it to other languages probably wont be that hard, considering that all research has already been done and I understand the protocol in its entirety.
However, the current lib is quite nice and the web client should probably be done is asp.net mvc2 or something the can interface with the library directly.
Oh yeah, I see flash is the most common way of doing this, but how widespread is flash support on mobile devices =|

Well, basically any android tablet supports flash, and any phone running gingerbread should or can support it as well.
Apple iOS does not support flash at all. So that group of sheeple is out entirely. To be honest, just the mid to high end android phones support it. I think window phone does as well. But nobody uses that crap.
Oh I really like the idea of a WhatsApp web client!
What about using PHP and Javascript and HTML5? It's supported by pretty much any browser and phone and tablet...
I would love to help, but the only programming language I'm (kinda) familiar with is Java... and a little bit of the web stuff.
This would really be nice, you might want to take a look at Mightytext (http://mightytext.net/), the chrome integration is a good idea IMHO. A webclient would make it more universal thogh
is the API ready ?
i would love to see it if it's really working............
i was thinking about doing it but..............
i thought it could never work!!
can u send me a sample i want in to the development team....

Im not working on this at the moment for lack of motivation... The API itself works, but its in C# and I dont feel like re-writing it for porting. The current source is messy but works nicely. Im not going to open-source it, but if your up for writing a web interface then let me know via pm and ill share it.

It is very possible, and there is no reason for WhatsApp not to allow this considering the fact that they are using a modified open protocol and have no pc client.

µTV simply works in 2 steps:
1. Add a TV show you wish to download.
2. Tap the big button to search for new episodes and send them off to µTorrent.
Note: Episodes are downloaded on your PC at home not on the android device itself.
**IMPORTANT** DO NOT BUY µTV Pro if you're poor... like me. The only difference is µTV Pro has no advertisements.
IMPORTANT USAGE NOTES:
- You can get µTorrent from http://www.utorrent.com
- In order for the app to function, you have to enable "Web UI" in µTorrent.
- Go to settings (on this app) to enter your µTorrent IP, PORT, Username and Password.
- The "Refresh" button searches for new episodes and the "Download All" sends them all to µTorrent.
- uTV can only find episodes that actually have verified torrents. It might not find non-popular TV Shows, old episodes or TV Shows that aren't recorded by seasons and episodes.
Changes
Code:
Update 0.8
- Major interface overhaul
- New interface works on Android 2.1+ only, I will release an alternative version for Android devices below 2.1
- Bugs squished!
Update 0.7
- Saving your settings will now verify them before proceeding.
Update 0.6.9
- Replaced the 2 buttons with one big one!
- you can now edit a TV show's season and episode.
Update 0.6.5
- Get latest episode option added (no need to specify season/episode if you don't want to any more)
- Small bug fixes
Update 0.6.3
- added token authorization support. no need to change µTorrent advanced settings anymore.
Update 0.6.2
- Yo can use ASCII text characters in the "Address" EditText box.
This app is just a tool that can be used for good or evil so please try to use the app legally.

You can use it to check for new episodes but you won't be able to download.
Perhaps (no promises) I'll add support for other bittorrent clients, uTorrent's web api was beautiful that's why I went for it.
Maybe it will work with uTorrent server for Linux http://www.utorrent.com/downloads/linux
I haven't tried it myself but I think you could use web ui from your browser to set it up.

You'd get a warning email from your ISP if you download pirated movie, video games, music or software. New Zealand new laws 8ull5h1t.
However, I did not get any warnings for downloading Tv shows and I've been doing it for a long time. Use it wisely and at your own risk!

µInject Pro: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.androidshed.uinject.pro
Also check out µTV: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1432134
µInject simply does 2 tasks:
1. Searches for torrents within the app (no internet browsing involved).
2. Sends them off to your PC/MAC/Toaster/whatever machine running µTorrent.
DO NOT BUY µInject Pro if you're poor... like me. The only difference is µInject Pro has no advertisements.
IMPORTANT USAGE NOTES:
- You can get µTorrent from http://www.utorrent.com
- In order for the app to function, you have to enable "Web UI" in µTorrent on your computer.
- Go to settings (on this app) to enter your µTorrent IP, PORT, Username and Password.
- uInject can only find verified torrents that have been uploaded by the online community.
Please try to use the app legally and check out my other app "µTV" if you want an awesome TV shows grabber!
enjoy

Thanks, what are the sources for search?
This is amazingly convenient! And like the above post what sources for searching does it use?
Suggestion: Add an option where you can select your search site. e.g. tpb, demonoid etc.
Still using Transmission Damn you linux! Damn you uTorrent!
I know i can run uTorrent in Wine, but it's Wine. Big and slow.

Don't tell anyone!

torrentz.eu searches a bucket load of bit-torrent websites.
If I want to add a new website it has to support RSS searching... (properly formatted custom results not just a feed with everything) and I will have to write a new parser for each new website (since they won't all agree on one formatting!)

It's just the server so no graphical ui. I think you might be able to use the web_ui from your browser to set it up.
Works great!! Awesome! Maybe add support for multiple servers?

lol, greedy!
perhaps I should add one external (internet) and one internal (lan) once I figure out how to implement it reliably. or were you after using many utorrent servers simultaneously?
Heheh.. I was imagining a "server list" with a couple of of local/external servers, but only one that could be active at a time. Basically to enter the settings of another server or two, without "overwriting" the previous settings..

oh. like profiles. cool idea, the app can handle an expansion like this; just a matter of me adding it neatly.
New free and paid versions added. please uninstall any other versions of µInject before you install these!

This would be great if I could put all of my private trackers in to search.

sadly adding an extra search engine is not easy for this app.
The website you use must support proper RSS search not just a feed and then I have to write a new parser for each website since the XML format will definitely differ.
It was tempting to let the user add his/her own URL but that was going to end badly since I haven't came across a website that gives the same formatting as torrentz.eu

Glad to hear that. Please show your support by rating my app in the Android Market and I will upload the AD-Free version to this thread to show my gratitude
Next update I will try to add the file sizes. I just realized how important that is.

I apologize if there are any bugs, I need to buy an Android phone to test this app properly (I'm just using the emulator now).
Would one of you guys be kind enough to set his handset to "airplane mode" and try to refresh the list? I want to know if it causes a crash.
