Good work wxrjack.
Is the application in English?
Downloaded from Market and its in English. Very nice browser!
Sorry for the dumb q, but can you tell me where to disable mobile sites?
Does it use a webkit browser? I won't use any other browser if it doesn't use webkit. I am a web designer and webkit has the best mobile rendering engine. It makes the world wide web beautiful on the mobile device.
I believe it does!~ Looks awesome!
I'm actually impressed. I've been using the stock browser because every other browser I try to use, sucks.
I've tried using Opera - I hate the redering engine
I've tried using Dolphin - GUI is ugly
I've tried using every other browser under "Browser" in the app market - none are for me.
Search for "Miren" in the app market!
Webkit FTW.
Here is a bunch of screenshots I put together!

You guys keep changing threads, so I don't know if you saw my post in your previous thread about mistakes in the English translation.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=9416982&postcount=169
I just installed from market and I am not sure if it's only happening on my samsung transform (2.1 android).
While in Miren Broswer i press Menu>Brightness. At this screen if i swipe the brightness setting pass the lowest setting possible my whole screen goes black.
I can't do anything after that since i can't see anything. The only way to get back to my home screen with brightness again is if i press home over and over until i get lucky and it exits Miren Browser.
Another English typo
In your Android notifications for when a download is finished, you have "download completes" and it should be "Download completed"
Is there a option to open up incognito window?
Great browser.
Feels like a quality product, but how is it better than dolphin?

Sweet! Is there any advantage/disadvantage to installing the market version if we were running the APK you posted?
Could we make this THE Miren Browser thread?
Thanks for the awesome app!

It's faster, cleaner, and the GUI is much better (IMO). There are other reasons, but I can't remember. I just know, I uninstalled Dolphin after using Miren for a couple days and I haven't missed it one bit!
Billy
Absolutely classy stuff here..need to work on it some more to make sure but so far this looks like a winner and my new default browser!
I will download it when I get home.
I've read plenty of great comments in the Market, and on here.
I too am a Web Developer and excited that it uses Webkit for rendering.
Can it import bookmarks from the default browser?
----- ----- ----- ----- ----- -----
EDIT: double tap to zoom, and pinch to zoom works great.
Can you implement the magnifying glass to select text from the stock browser? (Similar to the way dolphin can do it)
Thanks
Also, iirc it told me to double tap to zoom, but when I tried that, it didn't work

Lately, it seems like there has been an influx of Android goodies from China. Some of this stuff is pretty amazing, like the MIUI ROM. A couple of weeks ago, I discovered the "MIUI" -aka Charming, aka Miren- Browser and was stoked to get that thing in a translated form. It is speedy and has a pretty cool interface. You can find a number of posts on XDA (here, here, and here among them).
Everyone I have talked to who has used the Miren browser has been jazzed about how much better it is than the traditional options (stock, Dolphin, Fennec/FF, Opera, SkyFire, Xscope, etc.) and I too have been impressed.
Yesterday, I discovered yet another browser, this one also from China and I have to say, so far it has blown me away! I have been preaching on the Miren browser for a week, but This new UC browser is simply the best mobile browser I have used. I have only had it for about twelve hours, so I don't know what the full capabilities are or if there are any major bugs, but so far, I am incredibly impressed.
It can be a little tricky to locate and I am hesitant to post the apk here as it appears to work with hundreds of handsets in different formats. i will post the link where I found it and you can do your own research on which version to grab. This is the English language site (on a side note, these guys are PROS! Just check out the flawless translations in the various languages and you can see that they take immense pride in their product and work. You'd be hard pressed to find other Android devs who have the time or skill to provide such clean sites in multiple languages. Provides me as an end user with a lot of confidence in the final product.)
UC Browser
Pretty amazing specs includes all the typical options, some less prevelant ones and a few atypical inclusions such as built in File Manager, Night Mode lighting and super fast URL autocomplete. The only shortcoming so far is I can't find anyway to get pinch to zoom on this thing, but I am submitting a query to the devs on that.
Edit: Thanks to jpyounis1 for figuring out the pinch-to-zoom settings!
To enable pinch to zoom change user agent to "web ua" then browse mode to "zoom mode" and ur done. Now you have full pages with intelligent fit.
Edit2: Unfortunately, so far as I can tell, no flash support in 7.2. For now I will have to stick with Miren and Skyfire as my main browsers and keep UC as an alternate until 7.4 is available in English.
And it's pretty too...

looks damn sweet, thanks for the share, gonna try it out!
interesting... ill try it out.
thanks for the post
the "built-in" facebook scared me, security issues and all that :O
other than that this looks really sleek and nice, gonna try it out for a few days.
I was pretty psyched by the prospect of this browser, but if they don't have the ability to integrate pinch-to-zoom it might be a bust. That would be a shame because in all other respects this browser is superior to most others.
I guess I will wait and see what response i get from the devs.
Yea I really like this browser. Looks great and its ui is superior. I think its better than miren browser and is my new default. I think between this and firefox take the cake.

Awesome, thanks for discovering that. I thought I had tried that combo, but it must have been the "zoom Mode(Compressed)" that I tried. Now this is my favorite browser
thanks for sharing, looks great!
Anybody knows what that compression means:
Advanced compression technology can reduce data costs by up to 85%, making mobile surfing cheaper.

Opera is located in Norway. It has a privacy policy matching european standards. Still I wouldn't feel completely comfortable to have all my browser traffic redirected through them, but that's a matter of personal taste as long as current standards are met.
I used UC as my main browser as a Nokia user...love it. They must have recently added the new platforms because I don't recall a WM version.
Indeed, it's Android!
Sharing content??
How do you system share content with other apps in Android?! IE: get it on the system share list?
Or.. how do you email content out.
I have to in part manage my information that way.
Thanks
Tim
wow nice find love the ui!
is there any way to get flash working on this browser?
It is definitely well polished, but there are 3 things that stop me making this my default
1. No quick access to address bar, in fullscreen mode
2. Share options of webpage are extremely limited
3. No true speed dial or easily configurable bookmark list for start page.

Yes I was also hoping for the same, but couldn't find it
Am I using a different version than you guys? I got Pinch to zoom working...
EDIT oops, looks like you guys already figure out how to pinch to zoom.
Anyway, this browser is amazing. The new 7.4 chinese version home ui looks like Miren browser.
Trouble with this configuration is that it becomes the same speed as every other browsers on Android... cept Opera Mini of course.

Hope there was an option that allow users play only 1 Flash content on heavy Flash Page like firefox add-on: flashblock, it's dissable all flash content and when you want to see it, just click on it.
working great so far. wish u can change the color of that highlight that comes up when u move your finger along the screen.
@moisesdc650, if we get enough requests, we'll be able to change the color...I just want to be honest with you... =) In the meanwhile, would you tell me what color you like? ^_^
can you just remove ALL the chinese affiliated links like 3g.qq.com, baidu etc from the address bar?
it clutters and looks very unprofessional.
btw, why would the browser need to have permission to take pictures?
@mystifiyer, thanks for your feedback, the suggested Chinese links will be removed no later than the next release, which is scheduled to be early March. I am working hard to see if we can remove them early and publish another version before next release.
The picture taking feature is one of our very unique features, which allows you to take a picture and save it as your browser avatar, and sync it to your desktop browser. Some users dont find it useful, while many of them like it. Sorry for the confusion, and I hope you can understand our rationale behind it. =)
I'm falling in love with this browse
@ruhmu, thanks....=)
You guys just earned yourself the spot as my default browser. Glad I could help you. Just curious if you could possibly try to improve startup times? It isn't a big deal and it is hard to measure because of the way that android manages tasks but it seems to be a little slow on the initial startup.

Bug Report!
I was browsing a news site and had opened a few tabs (I think 5 were open) and one of them was a review on an app, so I opened Market to try it out. I searched it and hit install, and then switched over to Maxthon to finish reading while it downloaded. Instead of having my tabs open like I left it, it showed the black screen as if I had killed it and it was restarting (I guess the system must've killed it) but then it started into my RSS feeds list and is stuck there now. If I hit the back button on my phone or in the app it goes back to the market instead of going back into the browser.
/edit: I opened it with the icon instead of the task switcher and it opened to my tabs like I had them. So it only gets locked in the RSS reader screen if I try to switch tasks.

Maxthon: You mentioned that Maxthon installs into sdcard if it's 2.2 or higher? But I supposed not.
From the above screenshot, you see that Maxthon is still in my phone memory taking up 3.92MB. A check in my Applications setting also show Maxthon is in phone memory.
If an app is in sdcard, it should look like this...
Notice Miren Browser uses 2.14MB, but that's in my sdcard, so I'm fine.
Maybe you can look into moving Maxthon data into sdcard too?
HI, Dolphin Browser HD v5.0 has released finally to the Android market. I have been waiting for such a long time, although that I have used their 4 betas.
I can notice that they have made much progress in the UI, settings and the performance (fix many bugs).
First, I like the smooth tab bar. It’s better to let the tab bar stay on top and hide the address. But it’s ok now. If themes are installed, the bar color are changed. That’s great for me.
Second, they have done much work on the Quick menu. Bookmarks, history, settings, add-ons, themes and gesture are included in the Quick menu. The background color has kind of texture.
Last but not least, I can successfully browser most websites without FC or hanging. It means that their performance has been much improved. It almost closes to perfect.
So download it, I’m sure you wouldn’t regret. LOL.
Been using the betas and now the final myself.
Bravo Dolphin, great work.
I don't browse the web that much on my phone but from my experiences so far with betas, this is the best browser out there at the moment.

So I still don't know why my Firefox mobile looks like a re-skinned Dolphin Browser and yours looks like it does OP. Is that an addon or perhaps a setting in preferences?

DESCRIPTIONLucid Browser is a free and open source web browser designed to be small, light, fast, and simple. The app itself is as small as about 4 MB, and the Donate version is only about 2 MB. The browser uses a custom homepage that loads locally for quick start-ups. Although it is small in size, it packs a punch with all the features you would normally see in a mobile browser. For example, you can import bookmarks from other browsers that use file formats of HTML or JSON. The browser also allows for complete management of bookmarks with folder categorization. By default, Lucid Browser uses Ecosia, a project designed to help plant trees. Lucid Browser also comes with many settings and ways to personalize the look. Awesome browser! Keep it up!
One request: Usually there is a .com button on my keyboard, right next to the space bar. Could you add it here as well?
Love to see this go solo.
It was a major useful feature of the laucher.
always love slim browsers like this

It's light-weight so it means:
-it won't consume as much RAM as bigger browsers does
-work fast because there are not many elements to load so that CPU can focus on page loading
needs to handle revoked certs
It should not show this page
https://revoked.grc.com.
But it does. You could be among the first to offer secure browser for Android.
Awesome browser man, keep it up.
I'd like to ask if it's possible to add an option to autohide the action bar during navigaton as well as adding the option to display the most visited sites when typing an adress?
A few in the play store have mentioned it in reviews, but the ability to close the browser would be optimal. Currently the only way to get back to the home screen is the home button on my phone. I assume this is intentional, but for full browser replacement on android for me I need a way to exit the program even if it becomes an advanced option in the settings menu. Otherwise very lightweight and intuitive to use and I really like it.
ability to close the app, would be necessary for me too. Otherwise definitely what I need in a browser ???

Amazing... Keep it up.
I would prefer holding the back button to close the browser - or ideally options for making holding do this of course.
I realise this is probably a big ask but Lastpass integration would be nice as well. It pains me and my phone battery that Dolphin (and possibly Firefox ...?) are the only browsers to offer this.
Lovely app BTW, thanks for all the hard work.
Looks good but a couple of feature request.
-Ability to close the app.
-Setting a blank home page
-clearing cache, browsing history, cookies etc when exiting.
Also, swype(keyboard) doesn't show a ".com" on the keyboard which usually works with all browsers. Please check that.
Thanks
Great Browser!
