If im rooted can i switch sd cards will anything happen to the phone cause i wanna upgrade my sd card because i wanna install roms and partition my sd card.

yes u can switch....root changes are applied to ur internal mem

You can stop the auto format experience by locking the card.
i have a 4 gig microsd card and i installled canoygen mod and partitioned my sd card so i cud use apps2sd but now im on 2.2 i dont need apps 2 sd so does anyone know how i can putn my card back together i need my 3.1gig card back to its 4gig state ive tryed formating on the pc and on the phone but no joy
I have a 16gb SD card that is coming tomorrow, but I got my phone tonight. It came with a 2gb SD card. Can I root and install the ROM on my 2gb SD card and swap in my 16gb SD card tomorrow? Does the ROM install to the internal memory?
It depends what phone and which type you put on. If you have an android native phone once you flash your rom from your sd card you no longer need it so if you swap the card it won't have any problems. If you have a windows phone and use an sd build it'll obviously be on your sd card so if you swap it out, you won't have it any longer once you swap it out. If you use NAND it's on your phone, so you won't have to do anything
I need help to swap contents of the internal SD card of my O2x to a new larger SD card and swap contents of the old SD card to the internal card . And also I want to make the External card as the default card for storage and installing apps .. Could some one point me to the right forum/post OR tell me what is the best way to do this . I Know how to make external card default via Cm7 settings ,but am not sure how to swap data & apps in the most convenient way .. Ps reply I'm running out of space.. Thanks in advance

Sup guy's can anyone help me out i'm having a problem don't know if it's with my SD card or the phone..
when ever i insert the SD card in to my htc evo 4g lte i get ( Damage SD Card ) when i go into the setting then storage under SD card. i have two options it say's mount sd card or format. when i hit mount nothing happens, i don't know if it's my phone or if it's just the SD card going bad
i have a 32g micro sd card with a lot of stuff on it.. i really need to find a way to fix it with out doing a format to save what i have on the card...
