Here's my first attempt at a boot animation, it's based on the popular animated gif of the cute ass asian chick. I simply resized it, exported it to PNG frame by frame, and packaged it in the zip file for your convenience. Simply adb push it to /system/media and you're good to go!
(note - the first run through of the animation plays slowly, the second to infinity plays just fine)

I wasn't too fond of the current CM7 boot animation (mainly the glittery circle arrow thing. I like the CM6 one better.)
So I decided to make my own.
I uploaded it below. Just copy it to /system/media and replace the .zip that is already there. I would advise backing it up in case you want to revert.
Here is a preview, so you know what your downloading before you overwrite your current one.

On a side note, if anyone has any ideas how to make it less choppy while keeping a relatively low file size let me know.

Here is a custom made Flynn Lives Splash Screen using the 89 Forever Symbol(Logo) that is seen on the back of Sam Flynn's motorcycle helmet and elsewhere throughout the movie Tron Legacy. The image was provided to me by "Jahooba" who originally had used this image to make a custom iPhone theme. This is pretty sweet. I hadn't seen one that aims to look like a PC's BIOS before. I might have to make one like it myself. I'll just have to read some tutorials... : )

motorola also has an app that will change the bootloader animation depending on time of the day or year. this will just give you the stock animation witht the earth, but not the ones with the monster, winter or spring animations
