Getting some Cyanogen settings on Free X10

First off, I want to say that I did not create any of the files I have posted, ALL credit goes to zdzihu and TripNRaVer for creating both of these awesome roms.
If either of you two have a problem with me posting this please let me know, I will take it down.
Ok, I'm not that experienced with android, so if something doesn't work for you I can't see myself being that useful.
Note: This was done on zdzihu's Free X10 Beta 3 using some of the .apks from TripNRaVer's Cyanogen Mod ROM.
EDIT: Works for Beta 4 as well.
ehmi has modified the services.jar to allow the notifications to be changed.

Thanks to XperiaX10iUser for an easier way to install this.
1: Backup your system with xRecovery (in my opinion this should ALWAYS be done before replacing/changing any settings/.apks you or your phone may find important).
2: Download .zip here. (Dead link, use ehmi's version)
3: Install with xRecovery as custom .zip
It seems that the status bar and notification text color can't be changed in the menu, BUT the clock CAN be changed to any color you like. So far all the other settings I have tried work.
Again: ALL I did was take the .apks from TripNRaVer's ROM, all credit goes to him and zdzihu.
... Ok... maybe this would have been better posted in the X10 android development forum
The attached file is just for reference now (The attached .zip will not work in xRecovery, it is a plain old zip file).
Just use XperiaX10iUser's method (thanks again) as it is better.

Any chance of these working on a stock SE Rom, or do these require 2.2 minimum?

Like I said, I used Beta 3 which is 2.2 and the CM ROM was 2.2.
I don't think you are going to have much luck with the stock ROM.

It would probably work if you had 2.1 cyanogen settings.apk

Ah, thank you for that, this is my first time contributing anything of value to the x10 community, so I wasn't sure how to create an updatable.zip.
I'll change my instructions to include your simpler method to install.

this is really strange...
the Mediafire link goes to http://adf.ly/RANw and it just keeps on showing different ads...

The ZIP file for xrecovery works fine thanks for that, but it seems i can not make my phone faster with the preformance settings any ideas ?

Make sure JIT is enabled, dithering will make gradients smoother, but slow down your phone. I'm not sure how locking things into memory will affect benchmarks. And I hear that changing the VM heap size can speed things up (booting at least) but that is beyond me and I will not pretend to know what I am talking about here.
Also, after you make a change in there you have to reboot.
I turned dithering on and actually lowered my quadrant score, but my gradients do seem nicer.

yeah, you have to wait a few seconds and then press skip ad in the top right corner.

for me at the moment
- change color of clock
- render-effect
- 180 degree
- overscroll
- percent in battery
i cant change the color of statusbar in black for example
edit:input settings-lockscreen settings worked too

Most of the CM7 (RC3) UI is themed and I themed some apps to go with the new design.

I recommend you to download GO SMS (as shown in an image) from market and Pendo's fantastic Market app from this thread --> Link
Instructions:
1> Definitely Make a Nandroid backup!
2> Download file is not flashable! You have to extract it first. There is a folder and a flashable zip file in it.
Folder includes the apps I mentioned above which you can use apk manager, Linda, astro, etc to install them from SDCARD
3>Put the flashable file in your sdcard as well, goto Recovery, flash it, piece of cake, right?
*** If you have installed Go launcher b4, uninstall both main and classic apks first and then install my themed apps. It wont install if u ignore this part!
***You need to sign with your Gmail info again, DO not panic, wifi, market will work after that
*****New themed apps, UI design, and updates will be added, I won't tell you now, consider it a surprise!

I have been on Miui for a long time and nexus one is one of the phones that receive Miui updates very fast and I do love Miui. But, I started this to bring Miui idea to CM7 roms, not all phones are supported for Miui. Btw, most miui ideas are from Iphone , I only used miui music to go with the theme. Nothing else is used from them! The launcher, contacts are different apps. You can download them on market and see the difference with my theme.
CM7 is solid but what is missing is sophisticated theming.

in my n1 is in japanese!

actually the miui music app pretty much supports all phones, and the reason why his one is in jap instead of english is probably because the miui music app you've used isn't completely translated for english. i had that problem too, had to look for one that was completely translated.

I'm not sure if Desire CM7 version is similar to Nexus one but I put a tutorial link (at the beginning of the OP) to apply the theme yourself. I explained it in a very easy way.

I've halted work on this for now as i am working on 2.3.3

it should be working with both achotjan and wolfs roms now.
i have removed the calendar as it has issues, and i haven't had time to mod the lock screens. But i am working on a major release (v2) and hope to have it done this week. i'll post some screenies of it soon

First, make your contacts.apk based on the one you find here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1076647 They don't have that white bat above the dialer, which reduces the "transparent feeling". And second, after you've done that, could you please make a xRevory of just the contacts.apk and post it on that topic? I'm trying to gather all possible dialers and put them on only one topic, because what if a person likes your dialer, but doesn't want nothing else different?

On many roms you can change this, if you have cyanogen mod settings

Adding to that, for a custom battery icon, you can always use the UOT kitchen to cook that up.
@OP: when you scroll down the notifications, the background of the date part is kind of darkened. Would you mind looking into that please?

[THEME] Theme Legend-X-Tripin-for GB-2.3.4 and FROYO-With Extended Power menu

Hello 2.3.4 users,
Here comes the first theme for Ginger bread 2.3.4. This is based on theme-the-Legend-X . As of now only Framework-res.apk, twframework.apk and SystemUI.apk are themed. I am attaching the screen shots from the original theme. The full credit goes to creators of this theme S39 and the theme X Legend group. I have only ported it. Please do not use it on Froyo, Will be releasing it soon for Froyo 2.2.1-XXKB3.
Download the file, unzip onto SDCARD and put them in the appropriate location on your phone, reboot.

Thanks @ bala and @ krraazzy. I had just made it for fun sake, was trying to theme GB for first time. Thought of sharing it here, though it is not complete, it looks good compared to bland look of the stock theme. But will surely try to port complete theme once we have fully working stable GB.

Are you on gingerbread 2.3.4 or froyo 2.2.1 this theme is meant for gingerbread 2.3.4 only

Why dont you guys make use of modded recovery by skin. Alternatively, Yes method remains the same as earlier. But just see that you put the contents the way they are packed. I mean in the same of system folder as their arrangement in the ZIP using root explorer.
You have to use contents of system folder only. the Meta-Inf is for recovery update zip.

HackitZ Black Theme, nothing special just my take on android black, changed alot of the whit and black icons to the chrome from xperia zl apk's.

This mod is based on RomAur v1.2, Great rom in my opinion. I was going to build a rom and was using this rom while building it, funny thing is I love the rom and figured why add another rom when this one does a great job. So for now I'm sticking with RomAur.

I have not updated to 4.4.2 yet and am waiting for a new release as too many bad reviews for me.
All the apk's are in the zip. If you want remove certain apk's just use 7zip to open and remove what you want.
To see the black and blue keyboard, go into keyboard themes and select the dark keyboard.

I love feedback and will do my best to answer and keep an eye on the thread. as I'm new to building rom's I have a lot to learn. So with that being said if and when i upload a rom and it has warning in the change log, this just means it might not be stable and could cause you to have to reinstall a rom. I will do my best to ensure that does not happen by testing my self, but it's always a possibility.​

Added stock status bar icons, download is live.
Plus fixed the white block, xml was the guilty party.

Icons
are there available mods for Z1c icons? Like the sony (circular icons) walkman, sony select, launcher, etch... Thank you once more...

Would also love to see this returning for KitKat, maybe even with an added blacked out Calendar Widget.

for me this mod don't work it's bug no phone icon, no contact icon, and can't open settings

As I stated in the OP, the files came from RomAur v1.2, I have not tested this on any other rom or FTF. I have also not heard about any issues from other people.
'So maybe someone who has used this or tried this on any other rom or FTF (stock) could share if it worked or failed and I'll update the OP.

Dude u dont test this first ... ?? This mod is for XZ, XZL and XZ1 not for Z1C ....

Confirm "Bug"
This worked for me (Z1c) previously on 1.2. I updated to 2.1 but i cannot make camera work so I went back to 1.2. Since then, when I install, the Message, Contact, and Call Icons disappear.... Please fix.... It is a very nice theme... Thank you... There is one by XperienceD but the texts in the contacts are not so readable. Maybe these two can be merged to have a very good black theme... Please...Thank you again... :fingers-crossed:

Will this be updated to work on 4.4? Version .757 KK really cleared out the bugs. This blacked out apps theme was great on JB.
