Before you buy any micro SD cards on eBay, make sure the seller is *not* listed on this website:
http://sosfakeflash.wordpress.com/
In fact, if any mods are listening, could you please pin this thread? I know some of the forums for other devices have threads on this subject, but if they sink, nobody will get the warning.
Thanks.
or you could just avoid buying flash from ebay all together.
Whatever works.
I was wandering around my hometown yesterday pricing 16GB cards. The cheapest price in a shop was EU80 -- nearly $100.
I believe there are reputable sellers on ebay selling for less than half that.

I got my 16gb card for 2.50$
That's great, but be careful. The biggest scam out there is 2 and 4gb cards programmed to look like 16gb to your operating system. The only way to test them is with a free utility called h2testw.
Hopefully your card is a good one. Mine turned out to be 2gb.

There are a lot of Kingston 32GB microsd cards being sold out of the US via Ebay for $199+, and they're all fake. Only Sandisk have released the 32GB versions.
Be warned..
For those in the US, just buy from Newegg. I got 3 16 GB microSD cards for $41 apiece.
you can also tell by filling up the card
if it doesn't go past 2gb, it's not a 16gb card

I prefer to buy from Amazon as they tend to shift the fake sellers off the marketplace quickly.. just bought a 16gb micro for £21.00

I've not touched eBay memory cards since I bought a Sony from a 'trusted' seller. Turned out to be a cheap knock off. I had my money back in a day after suggesting to the seller that I'd be contacting Sony's fraud investigations team if I didn't get prompt action.
Then I contacted them anyway

They "Weren't just Selling them".
Their supplier sent them a batch of fake CPUs. Once new-egg discovered the error, they refunded money and offered discounts and also dropped the supplier.
It was clearly an accident.

wth. You sound like you work for a certain political spin machine.
Clearly, anyone with half a brain, can see that Newegg expediently rectified the situation. If anything, this situation with the bunk processors would put Newegg in an even more trustworthy position than they were prior to this unfortunate incident.
i recommend newegg we have 4 a-data 16gb class 6 cards from them.. work great.. stay away from 16gb sandisk cards.. i have had 5 failures with these (their 8gb cards work fine though)

I bought two Sandisk 16gb Class 6 cards for £40 each from a Asian in Canada. When I received, I benchmarked them & found that they didn't even perform at a class 2 level.
I put on a claim on ebay & contacted seller. The seller said that there are alot of fakes on ebay & that I has sold thousand in his store without any complaints. I got a full refund.
I bought a Genuine Team 16GB Microsd Class 6 from another seller ebay id: taiwanlien. I have benchmarked it and everything.
If anybody does want to buy memory from ebay buy it from this seller taiwanlien.
Thanks

Yesterday my 32 gigger crapped out on me. Froze my phone, too. Didn't have another one. So I put in a 64 sandisk class 10 and holy cow the phone recognizes it. Got 4 of the 64 gig lying around. I knew these guys were good for something.
Can you address all 64 GB? It doesn't surprise me that the phone can read/write the card, but I am thinking it might behave like putting a "too big" drive into a x86 machine, be it when CHS became overwhelmed, or the whatever-it-was x-TB limit that was recently hit by older machines.

Just ordered a 64gb SansDisk Ultra for another phone. Should be here in a few days. I'll slap it into the 4g to see if it recognizes all of it.
EDIT: Formatted fat32 primary and phone is able to use all the the 59gb.
that's still pretty amazing.
I was just about to buy one of these 64 GB cards when I found that Amazon had pulled them from sale

A review on Amazon talks of the cards getting very hot and failing.
I don't have much more information that this, nor can I confirm that the issue described is why Amazon is no longer selling the 64 GB card.
SDSDQUA-032G-U46A -- has the warning on Amazon (would be the SDSDQUA-064G-U46A I assume)
SDSDQU-064G-AFFP-A -- does not have the warning on Amazon

I ordered the AFFP-A a while ago and have had zero issues with it. It's 60 bucks right now but I bet it goes on sale for Black Friday. I'll vouch for that card. I have 47g of music on it and still have 12g left over for other things. Get it and you won't regret it.

These 2 items are the same product, same card. The only difference is one comes in retail packaging, and one tries to save Earth just a bit by packaging in Amazon's Frustration Free Packaging (AFFP).
Comes with SD adapter (so you can plug it into a regular SD card slot) + Lifetime warranty (10 years in Germany and Canada (because their governments do not allow companies to carry "Lifetime" warranties due to misleading the customer as Lifetime is *product* lifetime, not your lifetime, that is, when the company stops selling it, they no longer have to honor the warranty))

Is there some place where to buy them unlocked (ready for use in Europe) cheaper then these?
I have found these (prices calculated from $ and GBP to euros)
Moto G 8GB 130euros – ebay.
Moto G 16GB 175euros – amazon uk and ebay.
Moto G 4G 8GB with sd card slot 185 euros - amazon uk.
So is there some cheaper place where to get these models?
I would be really happy to see the Moto G 4G with sd card for cheaper price,
because for example at gsm arena they say that you can get it for about 160euros,
but i can' find it cheaper than 185euros..

Lol eBay is where most sellers go to p
overprice their phones. I don't know about SD slots, but a GSM unlocked one here in the US (at least in NYC) goes for about $150 (about 116 euros?), my CDMA one only cost me $40 (31 euros approximately).
I know Craigslist is worldwide, and that's where I got mine, try there. And have you checked swappa? There's a link to Swappa above near the XDAdevelopers logo.

No joke, mine was only $40, but remember, its CDMA.
That poster doesn't ship internationally. My GREATEST recommendation is to wait for:

Only $180 and a 5 inch screen.

The phone information says the M8 comes in 16 and 32GB, but I've never heard about a 16GB variant. Does it exist?
I don't recall what I saw the storage was on Verizon's site. I was still with US Cellular then, and I was seriously considering switching in May on vacation — I was gonna get the LG G2. Best Buy had it for $0.01 with a 2-year contract. Checked out the phone, wasn't feeling it, so I backed down. But I kept looking online after I got back, and the M8 won me over. (My first HTC, too.) All the specs checked out, and I would swear up and down they didn't say what the internal storage was. I assumed 16GB.
So when I go to actually switch, they don't have any One M8's, or any HTC for that matter, out. I told the guy, I'm with US Cellular and I want to switch, I want an HTC One M8. So he goes in the back, and comes out with my new phone. I saw the "32GB" right away but didn't ask. Sure enough, it was the advertised $199.99 with contract. This was in June. The phone wasn't on sale per se, but it had the $100 mail-in rebate.
So I come up here to learn how to root it, and I see it's listed as a 16GB phone with a 32GB option. That's always bugged me, but I never thought to ask until now. So... is XDA wrong, or is there in fact a 16GB model you can get?

Most models are 16 gig. Some carriers like Verizon only sell the 32 gig variant though.
Okay. So XDA is incorrect, since this is the Verizon area, to declare the phone as 16GB (quick facts) and mention the 32GB variant, but the 16GB option exists outside of Verizon.
Personally I think no phone should be sold with less than 32GB at this point. It might cost them a buck or two more but it makes a huge difference.
I just noticed also that the description indicates it's got a 2.5 GHz processor. It doesn't. The Verizon variant is clocked at 2.3GHz. As for memory, I don't know how people scrape by with only 16 gig. I'm not sure how people get by with 32 gig, honestly. I've got 96 gig installed in mine and it's over half full.

This is true too and due to the fact we have an lte based phone.
A quick Google search shows the 16gb version http://www.amazon.com/HTC-One-Unlocked-International-Version/dp/B00J7RQDDK
Specs http://www.gsmarena.com/htc_one_(m8)-6074.php
Android origin announced the 3 memory configuration prices @ $399, $429, $449 (16, 32, 64 GB)
http://www.androidorigin.com/moto-x-2015-pure-edition-release-date-price-specs-features/
Assuming this is accurate... it just keeps getting better
32gb is enough since it has micro sd support
Sent from my A0001
But for 20 bucks more you get double the memory. Add a leather back and your done for $500 or maybe even less!
Would be cool and mean most would likely buy the 64Gb for $450, but I recall a few of the media at the launch asking and Moto reps said $50 bumps for the other two storage sizes. That would mean $450 for the 32Gb and $500 for the 64GB. Seems no way Moto would price that low and would eat into margins like a "sumbich' and make no pricing sense from a consumer elasticity standpoint. They could charge more, sell the same volume and make a lot more money, since the margins are not enough to sway most consumers at those prices. If a market is that price sensitive, they would be buying the lower tier models anyway.
I think Motorola needed to do something drastic. Since there sales haven't been that great the last few years. Considering htc and samsung sales aren't as good as they thought. This wouldn't be the bs storage upgrades that samsung and apple have.

Same thoughts here as well. I haven't even maxed out my 16GB GS3 here, :good:.
Tom's Hardware has the info given from Motorola in a Play and Pure/Style article released today and shows as the Moto reps said on some of the media launch videos:
16GB = $400
32GB = $450
64GB = $500
That sounds more believable.
Still great prices. Moto just needs to make enough of them on time.
So with SD card support is there really a need to go much higher? My music is stored on card anyway
I think the 16GB version is fine since I already have a 64 GB micro SD card. That's the beauty of it all.

If you have a lot of apps the storage is nice. Newer 3d games take up 1.5gb of space. My Note 4 32gb is as full as I can get it and still update apps, but I have over 15gb more games I can't install since no space.
I worry about the sd card going bad. Happens all the time. I prefer more storage in the device so it get's the same warranty.

Stop buying cheap SD cards as thats most likely the reason why your SD cards keep failing. I only buy SD cards from genuine retailers online or instore. Too many fakes about.
