Keep in mind the HTC Hero has an extra 96MB RAM (48% more RAM than the Dream unfortunately)

Sense UI has become HTC trade mark....but sadly we have to wait for the updated hardware(new phones) to come to the Us markets......im just hoping that social integration will be a standard when donut arrives. thats the only thing i would like
im not to big on the Rosie....it has nice widgets but the home screen has to many buttons that arent needed(phone,add widget)

Whats the difference between this and the wwe release?

anyone running jachero now and want to try to extract all the files in the system folder and do adb push system /system?
it'll only overwrite any files in common... Nismo? you seem to be a pretty daring person!

one is from T-mobile hero and one is from UK Orange hero....

Apps2sd allows for more storage, not more RAM. So no, it would not fix that.

True, but I have a Magic with a nice swap file which may help.

HEADS UP
i'm hoping you guys have replaced /system/lib/hw with all the stuff from the g1
Which will hopefully fix lights, theres also /system/lib/libhardware.so
but that's another story.

It has to be slightly modified i would think to run on the different hardware. you could try, using the files, but just make sure to nandroid. the best thing to do would prob wait on JAC, ccrowski, or another dev to get a look at it.

nice, wonder if this version is more stable hmm.

Could u guide me... i had a though, none of the flan/eclair roms had camera working.
I though taking the camera drivers from This Rom! and placing them in any other flan/eclair rom.
Q: R the drivers same for Hero & Magic??

When I try to sign on to Market I get the message "Cant establish a reliable data connection to the server".
Everything else works ok. Of course I am not reffering to camera or HTC Keyboard multi language .

no camera ... use market if you need danish keyboard and dict.

you need to format your sdcard with atleast 32mb swap 64 is
recomented...and ext2 128 mb atleast...then it boots up. .

as the source code for htc's _heavily_ modified and extended android framework is not publicly available, implementing features like this isn't that straightforward as it is for aosp-based roms
i took the 2.2_r1.1 aosp sources, coded the reboot entry with the dialog (directly into the power menu to maintain a mininal footprint), created dummy stubs for external htc framework references, looked up and hardcoded htc string/icon resource ids, fiddled with the code until it barely compiled
then i baksmali'd my own build, took only the relevant changes, and injected them into the baksmali'd original

Really nice! That's what I was looking for!
I now have the reboot option in my AuraxTSense 7.6 I flashed 2.12.911.1 at first because I didn't know which one to use and it worked flawlessly. Now flashing the version 2.10.406.2 since it seems that's the one you are saying it's the one compatible with AuraxTSense

check your framework build number (settings -> about phone -> software information)
select the package matching your build number
flash it in recovery mode (first boot may take quite a long time)

this is only for deodexed sense-based roms

I flashed 2.09.405.8 over Modified Official 2.2 by ieftim and I don't see any reboot option when I long press the power button. What am I missing?

Oooohhh... Well, thanks anyway.
Do you think there should be any side effect now that I flashed it? Everything looks OK (reboot took very little, not like everybody else is reporting, like nothing changed) but do you think I should reflash/nandroid restore?

Hi all.
All is on the title.
I'm creating my ROM (at least I try to ^^) and I would like to do a CM7 version.
Can somebody tell me what to do exactly please (updater, folder, etc)??
I'm cooking it with dsixda kitchen. And i work on latest RUU of Ace S (2.50. ... )

I reckon you will still need the help of experienced dev as the way how they symlink market cache to /data is not explained there (I don't know how to either, that ramdisk failed for me every time I tried it). Without it you will have a hard time updating apps with size >5mb.

This is port of the Froyo Espresso ROM for myTouch 3G Slide for 32B devices. It is based on a clean RUU.
Requirements:
32B Device
HBOOT 1.33.0013D (Can be setup using this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1116154 )
MTD 170 MB
What works:
Core functions like Phone.
What doesn't work:
Camera
Wifi
Bluetooth
LED and backlights
Anything else, post it.

Instructions:
1. Flash MTD 170
2. Wipe everything
3. Reboot into recovery
4. Flash the rom
5. Flash MTD Patch
6. Reboot into rom.
7. Don't do anything and wait 10 minutes before using.

I tried but nothing do far, xillius will try to make it work tomorrow.

just found the old xm froyo sense to help out xD

Right wifi fixing may be out of my league on this one but im still trying lol seems espresso use tiwlan_drv.ko and sdio.ko in modules to load the wifi and libhardwarelegacy.so is linked to both them files with no mention of wlan.ko which we use normally. May be as to why the WiFi hardware fails to load :/ but ill do what I can lol
Plus if anyone thinks im wrong please correct me ^^ xD and I mean that lol people correcting me helps me find the end solution sometimes 0o

xD nice!!! well last froyo sense rom I had used another hardwarelegacy.so with wlan.ko mentioned and no sdio.ko etc. mentioned ^^ so swapping it over and then *crossing fingers* that rom boots lol

btw can you try the attached hardwarelegacy.so if possible ive got to go out till later lol the one below is a hexedited version of the one in espresso which takes away all the hostadp crap and tiwlan_drv etc. and links to wlan.ko ^^
also if possible do a logcat when you try to turn wifi on lol if it gets past wifi_load_driver error 1 then that should be fixed any other error shoudl be easy to sort out ^^ but if this hexedit work should have wifi just not wifi tether but theres an app to fix that xD

and i use GSM carrier , i can't use 3G ( HDPA ) data on this ROM , right ? ,

When's the next update? I like running espresso ^^
