if you have a wifi DLNA tv you can sync your phone with your tv using the htc hub widget media link. Or you can buy a media link and sync it to your tv that way. Ive seen it sold on ebay.

I just sold my Vibrant and bought a Nexus S and was wondering if there was another app like Allshare that I could use to stream movies from my PC to my phone.
I really like Allshare cause whenever my wife insisted on watching f'ing Jersey Shore I could allways bust out my phone and choose a movie from my library without have to get off the couch to upload it to my phone.

So we do have DLNA? I searched around and I couldn't find a definite answer.
Damn I was going to buy the nexus s but I use allshare all the time. Especially when family comes over. I stream the photos and hd home videos to my tv.
Do you think if I took the vibrant version and used it on the nexus it would work?
Dlna needed of course.

Twonky works for me, I stream to my ps3 and the nexus s does have dlna.

iMediaShare brings DLNA capabilities on any Android phone including Nexus S. In addition it also enable playback of online videos as well as sharing personal photos from Facebook and Picasa.
Hmmm.
I tried searching for imediashare (and scanning the QR codes that are on their website) but it's not showing up in my Market....must be a protected app or something.
Oh well.
Damn it. Maybe I could get the imedia apk found some where.

I was able to find Twonky though.

I read on another thread that the Allshare app on the Vibrant is tied into its framework and would have to be modified to work.

Try again. It should be there now
Last post is December, so did you guys find a way or did everyone settle with Twonky, Skifta and iMediaShare?
You can stream video with Gmote.
Although the dlna works fine I really wanted the AllShare app to control the TV, anyone know how to get it on the Nexus S or at least why can't we?!
Is there an OS version issue, cause I have downloaded like 3 AllShare apk but none works.
I`m currently using the 2.3.4 version.
Thanks in advance,

Guys, I just purchased some HD movies in itunes (TF3 and a bunch more). Problem now is I didn't realize doubletwist CANNOT remove the DRM. So now I'm stuck with a bunch of movies that I can't play in my HTC.
Anyway I can get them to my phone to play? How will I remove the DRM? I'm using a macbook pro if that matters.
Thanks

I've looked at this in the past to convert iTunes movies to DIVX files to play on my media player but I've never found a decent solution to be honest.
There are things like iSkysoft iMedia Converter that claim to do it but it's not a great solution in my eyes.

Have you tried it?
Which one? The Mac app, or the other wired link? I've used the Noteburner app a couple of times, don't use iTunes that much any more, and it did a fine job.
Haven't tried the windows program that the wired link in the article leads to...
ok i thought i could avoid using itunes by using htc watch instead... now another purchased movie later, and I just found out htc watch saves the files as .eny format, and no way for me to use doubletwist to stream the movie as airplay to my appletv.
any suggestions? I don't have an mhl cable yet so that's out of the question (i'll be buying one though as an alternative)... i really would like to be able to stream wirelessly to my appletv.

You can use QTFairUse(free) or burn itunes songs to cd to remove drm from itunes music, however, as i know there is no way to bypass drm from itunes movie on mac os x

Due to the Inspire not having an HDMI port, the answer is NO

It is actually possible. Twonky Server can stream audio, pics and movies over a WiFi network to a compatible device. I use my XBOX 360, I think there is a list of devices on Twonky's website. There is also the option of streaming via DLNA, if you have the hardware for it. I have not tried the latter.

The DNLA streaming works great, I have played around with it but don't have much need for it. If you have the hardware, it's a great option and easy to use.
Does anyone know if its possible to set up your phone as a universal remote? For TV, Freeview box, Xbox navigation etc.

Hi,
Type "Remote control" in market search.
All sorts of things come up.
I don't think so. There are a few apps for some tv's and blu-ray players, but they work over wifi or bluetooth. Usual remotes work via infrared and the sensation has no infrared.
You'd have to get something like this: http://store.griffintechnology.com/tablet/beacon-android
It does not get super reviews at amazon ... but I am sure there are other devices out there like this.
Does anyone know if this product:
Micro USB to HDMI® MHL Adapter
http://www.monoprice.com/products/p...=10833&cs_id=1083314&p_id=8805&seq=1&format=2
Would work on the HTC Thunderbolt to output video to a TV?
I don't know but for $10 how much is going to hurt if it doesn't work? I like the idea though.

I just got a response on another forum that it doesn't work. Apparently the thunderbolt doesn't have the MHL adapter capability.
So is there any other way then to get video on your TV from the Thunderbolt?
I have never been able to get the DLNA player working on the phone. If that is the only way then I would appreciate a how-to guide on getting it to work.

Don't rhink the thunderbolt has dlna or mhl.

dlna does work with the thunderbolt. I have used windows 7 media center and a smart TV with Wifi to send videos and music. It can be a little slow, but it may have been the Wifi network I was on. If you don't have a built-in media share app on the rom you are using, you can find some on the play store.
USE twonky works great u get a free couple of uses after that have to pay

How about something like this: HTC Media Link. I'd provide links, but can't due to the number of posts I have, but if you Google HTC Media Link you should find info.
