Hey guys I'm having a problem with my Vibrant T959 changing the incoming call volume on me. I'm running Bionix-V 1.3.1 by TW and the Overstock kernel 2.6.32.9 with the Project Linda sound package. Whenever I put my incoming call volume at full and receive a call it sounds just fine, but as soon as it locks and I receive another call, the incoming volume gets pushed down to like level 1 or 2 and is barely audible.
Anyone have any ideas on what's causing this? Maybe an inherent Bionix or Overstock problem or maybe the Linda sounds I installed?
Thanks

This is my problem
say A calls me and I couldn't pick up so the phone rings then directs A to my voice mail
so then A calls me again
this time the led would flash, the screen would show that A is calling, but the ringer would not ring.
The ringer on my phone is always on the highest ringer and I tested it out and I am still getting the same results.
Does anyone else has the same issue??
That is what exactly happen to me, i don't have a voice box (since roger is expensive)
But i notice if i do miss the first call (being forward or not) the second call will never rings.
As long the second call is the same person as first call.
I think it is a call blocking system so you don't get rings everytime the same person multi-call you within a time frame
ii thanks I thought that I was the only one or something
yeh rogers is bloody expensive, also you any suggestions to fix this
and thanks
I suggest you make a super ringtone with max sound. So you don't miss the first call. Or
simply write a android program that calls you back on missing calls.

Hi,
I have a problem with the ringer on 2.2.1 it is not ringing. The ringer volume is max and when I receive a call it shows brefly in the notification bar the silent icon an its not ringing.
I tried wipe, reflash, stock JPU,JPX,JPY, darky'S 8.0 but nothing is working.
Now i'm back to 2.1 and the ringer is working just fine. Can anibody assist me in this problem?

I've got the same problem with my Galaxy 1. I happened notice that if you give the phone a torsional twist, it makes the ringer come back to loud, indicating a mechanical issue of some sort, either a solder joint, circuit board break or maybe the speaker simply plugs in and is only making partial contact.
Just wanted to see if any of you running the leaked FROYO rom for the mesmerize have come across this issue: when headphones/ear buds are plugged in to the phone for listening to media, and a text message arrives, the notification tone coming through the headphones/earbuds is very, very loud. I ran across this with this 2.2 build released here and did not experience this with 2.1.
If someone could verify that the notification tone coming through headphones/ear buds is painfully loud, I would appreciate it.
I talked to another user of 2.2 on his mesmerize and he experienced the same thing I did, however through bluetooth the notification volume level was fine.
Thanks!
Just did some resting with this. I didn't seem to have a extremely load volume on the notification. Have you checked the volume of your notifications in the setting? Try changing it and then send your self a text will listening to something thee the ear buds. I do some more testing.
Thank you for your reply.
Here's the story, in order for notification tones to be heard while the headphones are unplugged and in pocket, the notification volume has to be turned up pretty far, in turn when the headphones are plugged in, this makes the notification really loud, through the headphones. In order to avoid this problem, the notification level will have to be turned down every time the headphones are plugged in. With 2.1 the notification volume was reduced for the headphones even if the notification volume was maxed out.
Hope I make sense here. If you have your notifications volume maxed out are the notifications uncomfortably loud?
No there not. I'm also using ringing pro I don't know if that has anything to do with it.
Ok. What is ringing pro?

That was supposed to be ringo pro. It lets you set custom tones for text and voice
i was using CM7 on my LG thrill and they have a neat feature that when the other end of a phone call picks up, the phone will vibrate letting you know so you don't have to put the phone to your ear when it's just ringing the other party's phone. Is there a way to get this feature in my stock rom?
That's a feature of cm7 and any of the cm7 based roms for the skyrocket have it. As for the stock rom, it does have an audible tone when the call connects, but no idea how to change it to a buzz.
I found the option in settings > Call > Call alert
- theDXT
DXT ftw. Yup.
awesome! Thanks!
So I found out that 'Call Alert' option is for something different, it alerts me when the other side starts ringing - Not when the other side has picked up. Anyone other ideas how I can implement the CM7 buzz on pick up?
I have had it activated on mine since this thread and it works for me, though it's not very noticeable.

Settings> call> call alert>
Under call alert you have:
Answer vibration <- the one you want.
Call status tones
Alerts on call
So I've been running cm10 in my devise for a while now and everything was working fine until I updated to the most recent stable version. And now all of a sudden my phone won't ring when there is an incoming call. The vibrate works fine and so do all of the other notification sounds and what not but when I get an incoming call there is no sound. Ideas? Also does anyone know where I can get a download of the stock sounds. I'm rather partial to the water drops and whistling notifation sounds. Thanks.
