Why you need Smzone?
Have you ever want to inform your family when you're on the way home while you drive? You might text message them, but its dangerous you know? And the police probably catch you and you'll lose your money to pay the ticket. Would you rather lose your money to them or do automatic messaging with Smzone?
Description for lite package *free
Send your family and friends when you almost reach a destination you want.
This is the auto SMS (Short Message System) application that will send your family and friends when you almost reach a destination you want.
Set a radius from destination and Smzone will check your location. Smzone will send sms to the phone number you have entered and automatically turn off GPS location service if there is no destination anymore.

Looks great, maybe it will be better if I can auto tweet my location to others.
I'll try now thanks

This is just what i needed..
I bought full version yesterday, and its work perfectly on my HTC/froyo, g8 work!

So does this constantly check to see if you are in the predefined coordinates? If it does, wouldn't that just eat up the battery? Maybe I just don't understand how it knows when you are in the coordinates unless it keeps checking so it knows when to send the text. Enlighten me!?
Edit:
Oh wait, I get it. You only turn it on when you need a message to be sent when going somewhere. I was thinking that it will send a message once I reach the predefined coordinate as each day passes.

With [email protected] installed and running, if you leave your phone at home, you'll have no messages and phone calls missed at all!
How it works:
1. start the app and keep it running background, waiting for specific SMS commands
2. if you left your phone at home, just use another phone nearby to send a command to your phone to initiate the service (you'll get feedbacks if the function is enabled in Settings )
3. all SMSs received at home will be forwarded to the phone you want, and everyone who calls your phone will be notified the reachable number
4. you may stop the service at anytime
I think this is an usefull app, nice idea!
I have not tried it, but a suggestion:
if a specified command is received via sms, turn on data connection, wifi or network (I always have off it), and send mail to specified address that report sms and calls lost.
This is because sometimes you can have Internet access, but not a phone to redirect calls.
Thank you very much for your great suggestion! Am working on the data connection right now. Just like you mentioned, we can get logs from a data connection in the web page later
Sorry I have not understand this point:

Only now I have see that it is a paid app so... I will not try it
Furthermore I have problem with my phone and I can't install anything.
Anyway another thought, perhaps you have already done, but I have not saw, in the case excuse me: specify number of second phone in the sms command, it could be different every time and I know it only when realize that have forgot my [email protected]
currently, you have two ways of specifying the forwarding number, the first one: you can type it in Settings, it is recommended if you have two daily phones; the other way, by default, the app will take the number from which you send the commands. So, it is pretty flexible.
You cannot use xda to sell/advertise paid applications. You can provide either a lite version or a free version for the community, but under XDA rules promotion of paid software is not allowed.
oh my.. So sorry about violating the rule... should 've read the rules carefully. apology. pls lock/move/delete this thread.

[APP] [2.2+] PhoneLeash:SMS,missed call to email/SMS; SMS reply; GPS

[Post updated to point to latest version on Android Market]
Hi XDA community!
Our first app PhoneLeash is on the Android Market (free).

I like to call it the "misplaced phone app" since its meant for the more common occurrence of your phone simply not being near you, rather than being stolen.
PhoneLeash has features for finding your lost phone (or at least confirming where you think you left it) while also letting you know who is calling/texting meanwhile. Its not trigger happy (yet!) about wanting to wipe all the data the minute you see your phone isn't with you
We are trying to get the right balance of features, here is what we have now:
GPS locating
SMS/missed call forwarding to email or phone
Reply to SMS
Low battery alert
Remote ring
Privacy (no website tracking your phone)
Battery life -- after all you won't be using these features much of the time, so why have features that constantly drain your battery.
Unique feature - With PhoneLeash you can (remotely) reply to an SMS, and it goes out from your phone - the other side simply cannot tell the difference. While new and unique, we want to make sure we keep it simple to use. Speaking of simplicity, all of PhoneLeash fits in 1-2 spartan screens.
We've tested with Go SMS, Handcent to make sure PhoneLeash works with their default settings. PhoneLeash can also forward to HeyWire SMS numbers as well.
We found out that some tablets (Galaxy 8.9) do SMS but no telephony, so those are supported now as well.
If you can give it a try, we'll be very thankful. And ask for features - maybe they'll happen!
Thanks!

Here is a link and some screencaps of the new features in v 1.5
I am not a Twitter-user (tweeter?) but just used PhoneLeash to send in my first tweet from my phone. Sent this SMS from Google Voice to my PhoneLeash-ed phone-- "40404 here's a random tweet"--and by magic it showed up in my Twitter account!
on i 9000?
Is it available on samsung galaxy i 9000?
Very cool. I will test it out soon.

[APP] Quotes n Jokes

Hey everyone,
to make myseld more familiar with some of the new HC/ICS features (ActionBar, Fragments, ViewPager, etc...) i made a new app.
This time is it something to make you laugh or kill boring hours waiting for something - "Quotes" (not the final name)...
Before i'm going to publish this in the market i want to give you the opportunity to give it a try and provide feedback if you want to.
I'm looking forward to all your feedback!
The APK is attached to this post (package name already reserved in market ).

Since there weren't any bug reports or other issues i am releasing the app to the Android Market
Get it via this link:

Some background info:
The backend is done with Google AppEngine + Jersey (RESTful webservice).
All the quotes are saved in the AppEngine datastore.
The app aggregates the view counts of all views in the internal SQLite database and submits those aggregated values once every day (to prevent massive write operations on the AppEngine datastore).
Ratings are submitted instantly.
The app has an auto update feature which will be executed once every day by default (interval configurable and you can also turn it off completely). This update process retrieves only those quotes that have been changed since the last update. They are transmitted with a GZIP compression to save your bandwidth!

Nice app, tested on my sgs2 running 2.3.5
Tho the first load took a while

yes that's normal on first launch. it downloads all the data. You can configure the interval of auto updates in the settings (or disable it if you prefer manually updating the data).

pushed an update this morning (0.1.1) that fixes a bug with viewcount submission...
My two favourite things in one app! I'll give some feedbacks soon.
haha very funny app, thanks!

[APP][2.2+] Etext (SMS to Email and Back)

Hello all,
I just released a free application/service that forwards your SMS messages to e-mail addresses you define, and also sends responses back when you reply to the received e-mails (coming from your own number). Etext uses Google's Cloud 2 Device Messaging (C2DM) to notify your phone without polling every x minutes, hence the Android 2.2 requirement. It's designed so that it can actually replace the default SMS application's notifications, and to be able to reply to incoming messages from any device that's able to receive e-mail, no matter where you are.
The application is brand new on the market, so it would be great if the XDA community could give it a try. Screenshots and a more thorough description can be found on the Android Market (or should I say Google Play). Below is a link, and a QR code that you can scan on your device. If you have any questions or suggestions you can always post here or e-mail me!

Hey!
Did a quick test this and it works well Will do more tests soon.
Was wondering what the real purpose is. I mean ... wouldn't SMS be more reachable than emails given that for email a net connection is necessary, while it is not necessary for SMS?
I'll be using this to have a record of my messages in my mail and occasionally to save a wee bit on my message bills!

It bugged me that I couldn't receive SMS messages or reply to them when I was using my tablet (or any other device for that matter). That's basically why I started working on the application. It worked pretty well for myself, so I decided to implement C2DM and release it on the market. A plus is that I can now search for a name on GMail and get the text messages as well.

Hey man..... I haven't tried your app yet..... Because I already use OCR instantly pro....... But the point I want to raise is that..... There are a lot of apps who can do this...... You should do something to stand out of the crowd...... Right?
So in case it is possible...... Maybe you could try something like real time selection from current screen wherever you are..... Much like CAPTURE2TXT for windows.....
Thanks very much

Totally agree, you should have something that will make your app outstand among such great apps like Tesseract, OCRopus, Conjecture, Anyline, OpenCV. :good:
By the way, how much can an OCR developer get in your country?
Thanks in advance.
