I have Sims 3 running perfectly on my Tab, however it was a pain in the ass.
I also have a Nexus One which WILL run the game so I took the downloaded files from it's install of Sims 3, and simply placed them onto my Internal SD card for the Tab. The game only checks what unit you're running when it downloads - if it finds the necessary files it boots right up.
****ing retarded, I know.
So long story short, you need to find a zip of the game's data files. I can't openly say where you should find yours, but I guarantee it's *not* here.

I don't see why you can't upload them here, you still need to buy the app to play the game, so it's not warez.

Roms for emulators

Yes, it is. Use it as a mass storage device.
Next time, post in the Q & A section.
Sorry bout that. Can you tell me step by step how to do it. Do I get the roms from the droid store(i see they have a few) or can I go online and download them. Sorry I'm fairly new to the droid OS came from IOS

Any way you could provide what you did when you figured it out?
It's a pet peeve of mind when threads go dead with no explanation to the solution.

Im sure you all own the original cartridge version of the roms that you are downloading
Roms can be found in lots of places. Websites usually don't carry the main titles because their respective copyright holders requested that they be yanked, 4shared, torrents, and other similar methods are great ways to get a digital copy of games you already own. Alot of games come zipped. The SNES emulator I use requires that it be unzipped resulting in a .smc file extension, otherwise the aforementioned error about content not being supported will come up.

Well the guy in this post told me to put it in mass storage mode so that's what I did. I already have plenty of roms for snes from playing emulators on my iphone. I connected my phone to my computer. Went to my computer and then went to my phone after I connected it and just dragged and dropped my roms into my SD folder.
I don't think it really matters what folder you put them in.
Unplugged my phone loaded my emulater searched for my roms with the emulator and started playing

Got play today... Need advice?

Ok so I got my xperia play today and its the UK sim free version and I noticed that asphalt6, star battalion, and rainbow 6 are pre installed and also free from the gameloft site. But the sd data is not on my memory card and I cant download it as it requires wifi connection I only have 3g. Any one know if there is another way to get the sd files for these games? I know xda has a strong policy on warez but technically this isn't warez as the games are free as part of the play package in the UK.
Any help is appreciated thanks in advanced.
Or if some one could upload the files for these three games would be willing to make a donation via pay pal.
@mods just to prove im not asking for files im not entitled to I can provide screenshots of my xplay displaying that these games are free for me to download, I just cant download the extra data due to no wifi connection. Thanks

Order & Chaos for Infuse

Has anyone successfully installed Order & Chaos on the Infuse? Seeing as the Infuse is such a close cousin to the Galaxy S phones and most of those phones officially support O&C, it seems like it should work fine on the Infuse but I haven't seen any threads about it.

it appears to be one of those high quality game loft games. they code games for the hardware and they may check the build.prop for compatability, so even a compatible device might not play the game if they havent added the device to there supported list. if it is in the market it may work if it is gameloft website only you may need to register the phone number and claim what carrier you have, they haven't really been supporting att devices for some reason, i didnt have much success downloading there games by anyones instruction but others claim it works. good luck, let us know your results!
i hate that they have all the checks because anyone with root and chianfire 3d can run games for other chipsets just fine. why not detect the gpu and cpu and have one universal install that has coding for several different api's? would it make the game that much bigger?

Yeah, it basically is WoW for your phone. I've been playing it for a couple of months on an old iPhone 3GS, an HTC Inspire and on my ASUS Transformer. If an MMORPG is your cup of tea, I can't recommend Order and Chaos enough.
Anywho, Order & Chaos is not officially supported on the Transformer but I was able to get it to work by rooting it, downloading the game cache manually, and using Titanium Backup to install an "all devices" version of the game. I haven't rooted the Infuse yet and I was hoping there would be a way to install Order & Chaos without rooting but it sounds like rooting might be the only way.

If you're up to try it, follow the instructions here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1159975
Download the cache file referenced there and unzip it to /gameloft/games . Then PM me your email address and I'll send you the download link to the Titanium Backup backup of the game (I would post it here but I think it's considered warez). Then you unpack the TiBu backup to /TitaniumBackup , open TiBu, and restore the game from there.
Edit: I should mention that I don't know of this will actually work on the Infuse but this is how it worked on the Transformer.

with branding and market keys you won't see every app. use http://market.android.com to see all the apps. apps will push to the phone, or you can get the site from the phone if you change the useragent in the browser.
It is incompatible with the Infuse. I was looking at it yesterday and the market through the browser said it was a no go. I was disappointed, honestly.

It's not officially supported, but it works just fine. I don't understand why Gameloft does this with some of their games - they make their games available only for specific devices - but Order & Chaos definitely works with the Infuse. Use the .apk that zeus408 provided (I think it was the 9th post in this thread).

Weird, just downloaded this on my work pc, then e-mailed it to my gmail. In the e-mail, next to the attachment, when viewing on my phone, there is an "Install" button right there in the e-mail, which acted just like .apk installer. Is that a feature of APK installer, or what? Either way, that's pretty damn cool...

Quick solution: Tell your buddy to get a phone that doesn't suck horse c#(k.

Hey Verizon... this makes me want to scream

Aside from the PS games I actually want only being released in Europe (wipEout and Destruction Derby) these games:
https://market.android.com/developer?pub=Sony+Computer+Entertainment+America
Are out in the US, but I can't download them... Why? because "This item is not available on your carrier".
Seriously.
(yes I know I can root my phone, etc etc. This is ridiculous though)
I would totally burn down all of Verizon's offices if I were you.

Strangely enough I have a nook I converted to a tablet which gives the same error in the market as well. And that thing is not on any carrier, you'd think it would just say not compatible with my device.
That's a shame.. Maybe try your luck with root and download any regioned market? (forgot what it was called, basically it makes your SIM card be any region specified, but once you reboot it goes back to normal)

1) No problem, my response is a lot nicer than how the mods will respond to this inquiry.
2) There are a few games (really game developers) that have started instituting mandatory Internet connection in order to actually play their games. EA Sports, Gameloft, and I'm sure a few others do this to cut down on piracy. It verifies the license online then let's you play.

Yeah the forum mods are very very strict on this sort of thing. I got a warning once for simply mentioning "alternative" ways to download something. So I don't think you'll get much help here.
And the other guy is right, a lot of game makers, and developers in general, are requiring their apps to check and make sure the app is genuine or whatever, they want to make sure you paid for it.
