I bought a D2G on eBay and have been trying to unlock it. The guy that i bought it from called Verizon and they gave him 3 unlock codes (all of them were 8 digits long) which didn't work. I then wen to some site where they sell unlock codes and they gave me 2 codes but they were the same as the ones I had from Verizon.
I've been reading around different forums and have seen a lot of people having these same problems and the one common thing I've found between the people that originally had the issue and were able to unlock the phone is that they got a 16 digit unlock code from a 3rd party unlocking site. Does anybody know if all D2Gs use a 16 digit unlock code or are some really using the 8 digit ones?
Also, if anybody had this problem and fixed it by buying an unlock code (or any other way) please tell me which site you bought the codes from. I don't know if posting these sites would be against the forum rules but if it is then please PM me with the URL.
Additionally, I've read from 1 or 2 people that were able to unlock it by using a Turbosim but I haven't found a lot of people commenting on these so I'm still a little skeptical. Does anybody here know if these Turbosims will indeed work with the D2G?
Thank you all in advance for your help.
seems to me that the seller sent u unlock codes from code dealers and not from vz.
for now, turbosim is the answer. it works.
I already ordered a Turbosim last night so I'll reply here once I get it and let you all know how it wnet.
I had a talk with the Verizon people today because I was trying to activate the phone on my sister's account just so I could get the phone unlocked and then switch right back. Long story short, it seems like the reason why the codes didn't work is because I'm outside the US at the moment. I thought that since you can get roaming down here you could also have the phones unlocked while you were here which apparently you can't and that's also why I couldn't activate the phone under her account either.
If the Turbosim doesn't work I'm thinking of sending the phone over to my sister's house in the US so she can get it unlocked and then send it back to me but we'll see how that goes...
Yes, you can't activate while roaming, even if there is a CDMA network where you are. Activation works only on Verizon's own network.
It is good you have an option, I am pretty sure once you activate it on your sister's account unlocking will be sorted out.
As far as TurboSIM goes, reportedly it unlocks the voice part and data works in 2G (not sure why not 3G - is it because of lack of 3G on their operator, or due to TurboSIM - did not become clear. The user reported was from Ukraine. Phone works thinking it is roaming, but the guy says works - both data and voice!)
Please let us know how it goes once you get the turbosim
I will definitely post back here once I get the TurboSIM. One other question though... If I send the phone over to my sister, would she necesarily have to activate it before she unlock is or would the unlock codes work as long as she's within reach of the Verizon network? She could still activate it if necessary but it would be better if she didn't have to go through that process since she won't be keeping the phone.

I called VZW on Jan 2011 to unlocked 2 D2G. Both were 8 digit codes and both worked right away. I have used both phones on different networks(GSM) without any issues.
for me, turbosim works just fine.
i had issues with the subsidy lock, left it on error msg for a few hours, and phone went back to regular mode.
still didnt try the 3g, hoping will test with 1 soon.
hopefully one of xda wizz will sort this thing out without needing turbosim and things like that.

hey War-Rasta, klk?
Looks like we're on the same boat here. My droid 2 global just wont unlock, I keep getting the dreaded "Network unlock request unsuccessful" message. Tell you what though, I ordered two turbo sims about 3 weeks ago from hong kong, they're currently in miami,FL so they'll most likely be here tomorrow. I'll come back and report how it goes as soon as im able to try it.
I also had someone in the US call verizon and they were about to give me the unlock code but unfortunately since the person that was calling VZW for me made the rep think he actually had the phone with him right there, he was asked to dial 226 on his phone and to choose option 1. Ofc that didnt work as im in the DR. Supposedly, option one wouldve given me some sort of code they needed first in order to give me the unlock code.
hey Xtrife. Nice to see a fellow dominican around here. I did get VZW to give me the unlock code and it was one of the same I already had but at least it seems I had the right code and just couldn't unlock it because of where I am.
Do come back to this thread when you get your TurboSIMs and let us know how it goes. Mine should be here sometime next week I think. I ordered mine on eBay from somebody in TX so I didn't have to wait too long for something to get here all the way from Hong Kong. She did say the yare supposed to work for all phones but she said that 3G is not guaranteed so I'm crossing my fingers...
Just out of curiosity, why did you get 3 of them? Do you have 3 different phones to unlock or you're just trying to play it safe in case one doesn't work?
Well seeing as how id have to pay 150 pesos here for the turbosims regardless of the quantity (id assume 10 turbosims would still weigh less than 1 lb ) i decided to order two. I've only got 1 D2G. If the turbosim card does work, wouldnt mind lending one to you until you get yours
That'd be sweet!! Thanks. I'll be waiting for your post here then to see if it worked.
wow so Ive finally got a hold of the Turbosims and i cant seem to be able to fit both my simcard and the turbo sim in the D2G simcard slot lol. Having a hard time here. The turbo sim is mostly flat like a piece of paper but its got a little bump on one of its corners. Its the black version
EDIT: Wow, so im guessing this is what im supposed to do

:-s let us know if it works then once you cut it. I'll take you on your offer on that other TurboSIM if it does.
Well i think ive finally been able to fit the turbosim + my simcard in there but apparently all its doing is making the phone boot into the bootloader screen, im unable to enter the phone OS in order to check whether the turbosim works or not
It didn't break your phone though, did it? Are you able to boot into the OS if you remove the TurboSIM?

BLOODY HELL I tried the second TurboSIM i had ordered and it bloody worked !!! i can confirm both HDSPA AND 3G WORKING OK OH YES
EDIT: this is the link to the one i ordered
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...545050&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_8810wt_905
I actually had to cut part of my simcard, nothing difficult, only used a pair of scissors
Awesome! I guess I'll wait for mine to come in then since the first one you tried was broken. If the one I ordered doesn't work I'll order a few of the same ones you got.
Thanks XtriFe for proving my theory with TurboSIM right!!! Phew!
I wonder if we can fool US band ban with the TurboSIM. I will be testing at first opportunity (as soon as I get a chance to get close to the US border!

You likely damaged the turbosim while trying to fit it (broke a solder point or a trace). That happened to me with one of my turbosims before.
Hey XtriFe, I just got a look at the pictures on that eBay auction you posted and I think we probably got the same one.
Mine's on its way now and should be here on Saturday if everything goes well. I have my finger crossed so I won't break mine since I only ordered one. I'll post back here as soon as I try it.

Hey everyone, hows it going? Anyways, I have a Motorola Droid 2 Global that I bought from a Best Buy in the United States about a week ago and I've been trying to unlock the SIM restriction so I can use my phone with Telus and or Rogers. I've gone with several companies who have taken my IMIE code and returned with unlock codes. They seem to find the exact same code each time however I input the codes and they are rejected by the phone. Has anyone else had this difficulty? Is it because I bought them from Best Buy? I tried calling VW and I've gone through several levels of Tech Sup but they return the same old bs about 60 days or 90 days. One rep went so far as to say it was an FCC regulation! I had him repeat that to me 3 times and I laughed each time... Sorry for the brick wall post!
TL;DR: Moto D2G from Bestbuy/Verizon, online unlock codes not working.
unlock prob
Yep have the same thing. My US buddy bought the phone at wirelesshack or something like that. I posted my issue here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=844724&page=3 Waiting for leobg to get back to me with some info.
I am just wondering with regards to an issue with me not inputting the codes correctly or whether I need to do something different since I'm in Canada and not able to connect to VerizonW at all regardless. Another company sent back another unlock code and that didn't work either. Each code is 8 digits long, anyone get anything similar in length? I also double checked my IMEI on android and behind the battery. Do I need to set up the Telus APN and leave my sim card in the phone over night or anything unusual like that?
Just note, I don't think bestbuy would have any way of changing the firmware before selling the hardware, not only that but this is an interesting fact. I was able to use the one step rooter right out of the box as listed on one of the android modding forums (where they mentioned unlocking it as well)

Looking into the issue further, I'll report back with status, thx for replying
Alright so just went through the site linked by leobg, they said they could not provide a code. What I'm going to do now is get a rogers SIM card and attempt to add the APN info so the phone can connect to something (thinking it can activate on VW) and then try to enter the unlock codes. My theory is that our blackberry plans (which our SIms are linked too) are not able to support the sim network request or something like that. Further information on the phone:
sys version: 2.4.29.a956.verizon.en.uss
basebrand: N_01.48.00R
Kernel version :[email protected] #1
Build Number: VZW
ERI: 6
PRL: 58005
I don't know if this will help at all but at least if these numbers match then theoretically these should be the right unlock codes but my must be connect to rogers theory should work? IDK I basically give up, my paper wieghts look good tho....
My data is the same. I don't however get
ERI: 6
PRL: 58005
lines in system/about. Have you switched phone to GSM/WCDMA only (with the verizon sim inside?) Maybe that shows up when in Global mode only (as this feels likc CDMA parameters).
I am surprised the unlockers I give you told you they cannot supply code. Wondering if it is something speciffic to your IMEI, have you given them the IMEI? Have you spoken to them or you went thru the web site? I'll PM you.
Alright so here's what has happened so far:
-2 Droid 2 Globals.
-4 Unlock codes (2 unique ones for each phone's IMEI)
-None of the unlock codes have worked with the following:
-CDMA mode prompt, GMS mode prompt, Global mode prompt, physical keyboard, onscreen keyboard (both landscape and portrait)
-Motorola cannot help me with the issue
-Verizon gives the same old BS about having to subscribe for 60 days.
-The extra lines of code under Settings->About->Status only appear in CDMA mode
-Phone will not connect to any GSM based network (even with sim) but will "roam" in global mode
-Some seller from eBay suggested that Verizon stepped up their unlock encryptions between the release date and when I bought mine.
TL;DR: pretty paper weights so far. Going to wait until someone understands the problem and can provide a fix, or at least wait until the unlock companies recognize that the A926 actually exists.....
I can elaborate on any point if you'd like, other than that, no dice

Ok, I have the same issue, now 3 of the unlockers has given me the same unlock codes. My friend in US is going to try activating the phone on his line and try to get the unlock code from VZ (It would be funny if he gets the same codes I already have).
If he's unable to do that, I will have to sell it on ebay for cheap
Will update you on the issue as soon as I get feedback from my buddy...
Same issue here with both Droid 2 Global & Droid Pro...
seeing the numbers increasing...no one has a real solution? This is so frustrating.
"My friend in US is going to try activating the phone on his line ..." --- was he able to do that? Several unlockers told me if the phone has been activated with Verizon first, then the code *should* work .... the code is correct they insist.

The phone was activated on pre-paid when it was initialy bought from VZ, but they refused to give up the unlock code as it was a pre-paid account. Later the pre-paid account was canceled. This weekend Dec 18-19 he will activate the phone under he's account as a primary phone and ask for the unlock code directly from VZ...will let you know if this works, because if the code VZ provides will not work it will be really messed up.
Will keep you posted...
Everyone trying to unlock their phone - if code does not work - do not try same code again! You have total 10 attempts after which phone will become hard locked and will not accept unlock codes anymore.
Another idea - has anyone tried using smart unlock sim? I had great success with these. Unfortunately my phone is already unlocked and I cannot try the smart unlock sim anymore (didn't think about that). Those can be bought from ebay for few bucks. Seach for "UNIVERSAL NO CUT UNLOCK TURBO SIM CARD" on ebay - 5 bucks with free shipping.

You just stick it under the SIM card. Isn't that expensive if somebody with problems unlocking the D2G wants to give it a go

Will have to try if other method will not produce results. Although I have my doubts as to will it fit in the SIM slot on D2G as it appears to be very tight. I know they claim it's very thin, but still....
I tried buying the code from monileincanada and they responded saying: Your unlock code is return as Not Found from the server. This is not because your cellphone have a problem, but just we cannot found a code to unlock it. We are sorry but in this circumstance we are not able to unlock your cellphone and we have refunded you.
What problem can my phone have???? Is it because I bought it on prepaid and not on a month to month contract?
Well - mine is also pre-paid. But it was in-store purchase and activated in-store. Mine unlocked fine and I got the code from that same place. At least they are honest and give you refund if they cannot obtain code (hats down to them for this!)
Here is a theory - just pure guessing from my side - maybe unlock code gets generated once device gets activated on Verizon's network.
Anyone who unlocked without ever been activated please chime in (to exclude activation from the factors).
Another theory - mine was one of the first ones that got available in store (first batch). It unlocked fine. Maybe those which are from Best Buy and online Verizon store are newer ones which are not yet "entered" the database. But that sound silly honestly. Moreover another user reported he got two codes from Verizon directly and he couldn't unlock.
I say the safest bet at this moment is to try unlocking sim. I know they are tight fit in the Droid2G, but it is not imposible. My old Milestone has exactly the same sim slot and I was able to use my unlock sim in it - affixed it to the sim with tiny bit of scotch tape (avoid covering contacts!) - it is a snug fit but can be done.
One of the guys that sell the codes on ebay says that Verizon adds an extra security code on some phones randomly so that they can't never be unlocked. He says there is 50% chance you can unlock it.
Can this be true?

OK here's the end of my story...with the happy ending. My friend caller Verizon and tried to activate my phone as her husbands. VZ was giving her instructions and she was relaying it to me...they said to punch in *228 and press send to get the activation console, sadly it did work for me as it said "Activation is unsupported on your network" I had Global mode turned on and connected to what I assume was a Verizon partner (roaming). After some frustrating 20-25min talking to VZ my friend just asked for SIM unlock code, which VZ rep gave up reluctantly as he wanted the phone to be activated first. Anyway he provided 3 codes: One of the codes I got from the unlockers which did NOT work, the other was all zeros (!?) and the last one was unique to the two i got from the unlockers. I punched in that code and sim was unlocked. What's weired is that they provided me with one code that didn't work and said if the first two don't work try all zeros. Any thoughts on what that might mean, because if VZ changed the encryption keys on the later models then they should not have provided the code that didn't work in the first place.
But why is that you didn't use your universal sim card unlocker that you used on your previous Milestone on your new Droid 2 Global?
I know a lot of people are talking about the turbo sim, but I am really not into the sim patch. I really like this phone, but also need it SIM unlocked.
Since I am on Page Plus, there's no way for me to get an unlock code from Verizon.
I question is, is there anyone ever unlocked Droid 2 Global by 3rd party vendor's unlock code? I was searching web and ebay, and did found some people.
Do all 3rd party vendor's unlock codes fail, or some of them work and some don't?
Please let me know your experiences. Thank you!
I actually got in touch with 2 different 3rd party code vendors and they both gave me the same 2 codes. I had also managed to get Verizon to give me the codes themselves without having the phone activated with them (it involves a little social hacking and a lot of luck). The thing is that Verizon gave me 3 unlock codes, 2 of which were the same that the vendors had given me.
Long story short, I couldn't unlock the phone even with the codes I got from Verizon (one of them was different from what the vendors had given me). I am not currently in the USA and apparently the phone needs to connect with the Verizon network to complete the unlock. I don't know if you really need to have the phone activated with Verizon at the time that you enter the unlock code or if you just need the phone to be able to reach the Verizon network.
I will be going to the USA next month and will be trying this out but it'll be around mid April before I'm able to post my results.
Yeah, im guessing the code MAY or may NOT work IF you're in the US ( as it can reach verizons network). Otherwise it just seems like theres no way it would work. Mine would come up with a "network unlock unsuccessful" as soon as i entered the code, like seriously, right away.
Also, lol @ "social hacking"
xD

I'm sorry if you get it this way. No, absolutely not, I am not teasing anyone, believe me, despite mine being unlocked already, I am still researching a solution of this problem. The turbosim idea was actually mine if you guys have been following it since the unlocking troubles started. The turbosim is the noob-style solution. I am pretty sure we can address the "locks" with some gsm shop equipment, just as for many other phones, motorola and other brands. The problem comes this is US only phone available in US only. Only if it was made available to "the old continent" for example, it would have been torn apart million times by now, every bit of it exposed, figuratively speaking.
Too bad time flies, soon D2g will be forgotten. I can tell you I am ditching mine as soon as Droid 3 with appropriate for my carrier GSM/UMTS/LTE bands is released. I can't pass by 4 inch screen and 5 row qwerty portrait slideout kb, as well as, I guess, some dual core madness with lots of ram under the hood too. Sorry I went way too off topic....

Yeah, as much as i hate Motorola's decision favouring a locked bootloader, I think im gonna go with the Droid 3 after this one. In my opinion, theres no other phone model/series that
1. Has a qwerty keyborad
2. Looks good
3. Has good build quality
4. Doesnt have a Win7phone-like price tag
Seriously, i wish the Xperia Pro looked DECENT at least.

sorry if this is a redundant question, but if VZW gives the unlock code... will it then work on AT&T?
as far as i know, it wont. It will be unlocked to use on any GSM carrier outside the US, as AT&T, T-Mobile, etc. network IDs are blocked and that block is unrelated to the SIM lock.

I don't think that lack of monetary compensation is holding any of the fine coders and tinkerers in XDA. Still if anybody takes the offer you can have $20 from me.

I recently bought sprint gs5 with bad ESN. hence I dont live in usa, o thought this shouldnt be a problem.
Ok I received the phone, I managed to activate it with our locale cdma network " no sim card used "
But I noticed some features not available such as usb tethering, hotspot wifi calling, raoming section.
I updated to NE5 but problem exists.
I finallu rooted and installed MOAR rom, usb tethering still not available. However wifi calling was there but frozen! After defrozen it, when I press on it takes me to self test mode!!
Hotspot didnt work either, I get msg saying " insert sim card"
Any great developer plz help me with those issues, also are they related to sprint activation?? Any solution to bypass.
Thanx alot in advance.

This is an LTE phone so it will want a sim for some data stuff.
That said, because it's running sprint software and not on a sprint network many things simply won't work. You would need to flash it with different software probably or change various advanced settings.
The WiFi calling takes you to self-service because for Sprint it actually adds a feature to the users account and uses a third party provider sprint uses for the WiFi calling feature. This won't work with another provider. You would need that providers stuff.
Simply put don't expect a phone from one provider on another to work 100% or perfect. You would have been better to get an international version or one with generic software.
Beyond that can't help you any, maybe others can.

Thanx alot for your kind replay.. I would appreciate if you advise for a developer to contact regarding sprint activation and to get usb tethering back.
Also can somebody confirm whether flashing sprint PRL then reflash stock rom will help to overcome.

He just said these things are tied into the phone. You will have these issues until pure AOSP/AOKP ROMs come out. Should have purchased an international version of the phone instead of purchasing a stolen phone.

Bad ESN ALWAYS means its stolen in some way or another.
WHO KNEW IT WAS BAD ESN - Sprint Galaxy S5
I have just been scammed on Craigslist by buying a Samsung Galaxy S5….I checked all the things I could :-
the ESN on Swappa.com
checked that the seller had the box and all accessories
checked that the IMEI number matched on phone and box
saw a mail document for the seller with an address on it
got a receipt
paid a "normal" price that was slightly discounted
checked the hardware using Antutu and CPU-Z
made calls and texts from the phone
checked for internet connection
checked the fingerprint scanner and software version
Beyond all this what else could I have done? Now I have an expensive toy that Sprint won't let me activate what else can I do?

The device will do no good for you in USA, but it may work in other countries if their carrier provides CDMA coverage. using DFS.
I suggest that you return the device to the seller and claim your refund. specially if they didn't infrom you it has bad ESN.

Many thanks for helping me YemenHero…..I can't contact the seller because this was a private sale through Craigslist and the only contact telephone number I have was attached to this phone and it is no longer in use. I cannot contact the seller by any means possible. The seller lied to me about the cellphone and so I'm stuck with trying to find solutions to recoup my money.
I am not xda knowledgeable so can you please help explain what DFS is?
Once again, many thanks.
Flashing it most likely won't help unless you're on a carrier that doesn't carry the same CDMA MEID blacklist as Sprint. Changing the MEID won't work here because of the IMEI certification being broken when you do it and therefore granting you no signal.

You will never be able to activate that phone on Sprint or get any help from them for it because of the bad ESN. It was blacklisted because it's stolen or the previous owner refused to pay their bill. You were foolish enough to buy it anyway, and you will have to deal with your poor judgment and crippled phone.

While people like me are foolish enough to buy phones (or any used item for that matter) please note that this is what often allows others to upgrade their phones and buy the latest technology. If this did not happen many people would not buy the latest products like s5 and the new technology would actually cost a lot more than it currently does.
When buying the S5 I took diligent steps including checking the esn with swappa.com and sprint. Getting the sellers details, checking out the functions of the phone and paying a reasonable market price were the other pieces of the puzzle. Apart from buying from a dealer what other steps would you have taken in this instance…..I would welcome advice on this issue because it is easy to pass judgement on those that have fallen to the scammers out there.
This post is about how to unlock so let's focus on working on this please……thanks.

There is nothing to focus on. You cannot unlock a Sprint S5 because it's CDMA. You would need to flash it and you cannot because there is no way to get past the IMEI certification. It is simply not possible.
My post was not aimed at you. It was aimed at the OP and other foolish people who know phone is blacklisted with a bad ESN but buy it anyway.

Hate to burst your CDMA bubble, but ever since the S4 all Sprint phones are domestic GSM CAPABLE. This doesn't mean that it'll work out of the box. A) the device needs to be internationally unlocked B) you must patch the domestic blacklist or bypass it completely through the service menu. I've domestically unlocked the Sprint S5, BUT it won't work because it's not internationally unlocked. As soon as that happens I'd be able to pop in a GSM SIM and get signal, guaranteed.
PS: To future posters please do not ask me how to domestically unlock the S5 unless you're going to share how to internationally unlock it. As mentioned above, a domestic unlock does nothing without the international unlock and by domestically unlocking your internationally locked phone you'd be wasting your time.

Hi there,
I apologize for my late replay, just saw your msg..
actually Yes, its same as sprint GS4, msl pwd is 000000. Just make sure you flash proper PRL for your network. Also make sure it support at least 3G data. I had to flash many PRLs till one worked fine with me.
Well as my unfortunate luck has it, I wanted to upgrade my old Nexus 4 to a LG G2 D801 unit. I bought one new-refurbished off ebay and it just arrived recently.
I tried to put in my WIND mobile sim card and realized the phone is not detecting it. After looking into the issue for the majority of the day, it seems that the phone is hard/sim locked.
I went into the area where one would go to unlock the phone, only to be greeted by this unfortunate message.

Now first thing I did was start searching the interwebz....and I can't seem to find much on this.
I am not sure what I can do. The shipping back to China, well that's out of the question due to the high cost.
I can't use the phone as it's a T-Mobile device.
I can't unlock the phone because it's hard locked.
Is there anything I can do to get it working? Does anybody know how I could possibly reset the counter for this?
Thank you in advance.

Hi and thank you for using XDA Assist
Unfortunally the phone is locked and only the T-Mobile carrier can work on it .
It is locked from factory default state. So there is nothing you can do to unlock it (from what i know).

Hello, thanks for the reply. That's unfortunate for me I guess.
Now when you say, it's locked from the factory default state...If I drive down to the states and buy a T-Mobile LG G2 from the store, would that be also hardlocked?
I am trying to send this phone back to China and I know T-Mobile stores still have the LG G2 as certified pre-owned.

Yes if you buy another T-Mobile phone, you will stick on T-Mobile only and you will not have the ability to use other carrier other than T on that phone... But you will still be able to Root and make all those stuff but to change carrier will not be able to.

I am a bit confused. The phone I received, it seems like the SIM code unlock was entered 10 times wrong and thus is why the phone is hard locked to T-mobile now.
If I buy a phone from the T-Mobile store, it will be hardlocked also? I don't understand why it would be, since many people have those phones unlocked?

Unlocked but not "Unlocked" from carrier they still stick with that carrier.
If you are looking for example on the S6 forum you will see that there are separated forums for Verizon, T-Mobile etc... They are separated because the phone is not exactly the same as the international model as the carrier modified it, so a separated development needs to be done for that phone.....
You simply cannot uncarrier (from what i know) only if you took your phone to a professional guy who is super expert and can do it, but from what i know it's impossible to uncarrier a phone.... Better always to get an international one in order to avoid these problems

I think maybe I confused you or myself.
The T-Mobile LG G2 will work on the AWS frequency that I require here in Canada for WIND mobile.
If the phone is locked to T-mobile, I could use a service online, provide them the IMEI and the network the phone came from and then I would be given the unlock code to allow the phone to read a SIM card other then T-Mobile.
Example video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8m4ru062k_M
Notice when he puts in the prompt to get to the network settings, he can put in a PIN. When I tried that, I get the locked message.

Well it remains to you just to try then
People have denied that this even is something that can be on this phone. I've search everywhere any advice, I reached out to my carrier, I've even just given it time. The checkin dialer code verifies on connected to Internet but still, my OEM unlock is grayed out and says connect to the Internet or contact your carrier. It's some bs. I've read this is what Verizon models will display and it's a lost cause but this was a brand new tmo pixel 7 pro and I triple checked the packaging it has the T-Mobile information inside the box and the seal states it tmo. I just wanna unlock my bootloader. I've ran out of ideas and looked everywhere, so I'm posting to get some advice please if you have anything lemme know.

And what did the carrier say?
Regardless of which carrier you have, you must fully pay off the device before you can have them normally allow for OEM unlocking if you did not purchase the "factory unlocked" version of the device. Of course, there are ways around that via contacting your carrier before fully paying off the device. But you mentioned that you had contacted them.
So, as @bobby janow said: what did the carrier say?
