XDA 2 For Sale

Good Morning, This post if for all the non UK visitors to this forum. I have a new XDA 2 for sale. It has been locked by O2 as I received a new one via insurance but they have forgot to pick up the old one, (been 6 months now) so I know it's okay to sell. All other functions apart from the phone work, but I have been told that once it leaves the UK the phone part will reactivate itself and it will become as new. Please email me on
[email protected] with any genuine offers. Please be advised it will cost £30 to ship it anywhere in the world and this includes insurance upto £500, so add this onto the amount you wish to pay for the goods

Where can we place international Transformer Prime orders? Shipping to Europe, etc?

I wish to order Prime whenever it comes out instead of having to wait until next year until it is launched in Europe. Do any sellers in US ship internationally? I have checked Amazon and BestBuy and GameStop, but none of them ship internationally.
This means both the amethyst gray and champagne versions and with a keyboard dock (either separately or 2-in-1).
Please post information here if you have it available

You also have the option of using a forwarder. They provide you with a US address and then re-ship the product to you for a fee. That fee is usually less than European customs fee so if they send it to you as a gift or sample you might very well come out ahead of the game.

I receieved and email in a reply back from asus UK saying 16th Dec for release in the UK. Your guess is as good as mine if its true or not!

If you do go down the route of buying a US Prime there is a thread on the UK kindle users forums (thread here) where they used (bundlebox) to have them delivered to the UK. Seemed expensive but for the guy in the above thread it worked a treat.

If you don't like any of these just do a Google search for "forward shipping"

I was thinking of buying Asus Transformer Prime form bhphotovideo.com, but 32Gb model with all shipping fees and taxes would cost 580 euros, when the same model plus dock from amazon.de is 599 euros.

Had a quick check and reckon it'll cost around an additional £110 to get it shipped to UK. This includes the import charges, VAT and BundleBox's admin fee. Assuming you get the tablet for $499 and it's only the tablet you ship over, then that comes to a total cost of around £430. I doubt the 32GB version in UK would be priced at more than £499 so in the very best case scenario, you'd be saving around £70. For the added hassle, delay and additional risk if there's any problems, it doesn't seem worth it but each to their own.
I think I'll get mine to come back with the next friend/colleague who comes back from the USA

Help needed importing a Samsung Relay to Germany

as i can see, most of us here went the G1 -> G2 -> Relay way.
unfortunatly i'm sitting here in germany where the Relay is not available. and all attempts importing one so far failed. amazon doesn't have it in stock, ebay sellers don't ship overseas etc.
Can anybody help me aquire such a phone? Either get me one and send it to me or point out a dealer that ships to germany?
Any help would be much appreciated.

you have 3 options
1) negri electronics (they are trustworthy, i got my doubleshot from them)
2) canada gsm (never tried, and you gotta mail them to sort out the international shipping stuff before you order)
3) ebay
of course, going with ebay is the less expensive but the most risky option. i got my relay from ebay, i had to camp ebay.com for a while and message all the people that had a good auction open (try to stay away from fishy stuff that may be stolen or just a scam) and ask if they would ship oversea.
most of them do not, but some do, it's just a matter of patience.
keep in mind that you will have to pay the duties for importing goods, and they will probably be quite hefty, hovering around ~100€ if you go with a shop like negri electronics

The main reason why ebay sellers don't ship overseas, is due to customs and shipping. USPS Express mail, is the only way you can ship internationally with tracking. But some countries simply won't allow those shipments.
And the hassle of dealing with problems if something goes wrong...

i do a lot of international trading via ebay, but rarely with the US. but do i get this straight: in a country as large as the United States there is just one carrier which offers sending insured parcels overseas??? hard to believe...

this is incorrect information.
first of all, customs duties will be paid by the buyer when he receives the package. the seller won't even know how much will be paid.
second, you can ship overseas with any major courier like FedEx (i recommend), UPS, DHL and of course USPS which will then be handled by your local postal service.
about stuff going wrong (in the shipment phase) there isn't much if you pay with paypal and make sure the shipping is made via a trustworthy courier with a tracking number.
of course after you have got the phone, you'd be on your own if it has some problems but if you do it right the shipment shouldn't be that much of an issue

negri was out of stock so i just placed an order with canadagsm. camping ebay didn't work for me since i've already tried that one for some weeks.
as the story continues, i will post updates as others might be faced with the same situation

What about a service like SHIPITO?
I am from Czech Rep and have a luck that many of my colleagues are flying to US on regular basis but this service could be used just for this very special purpose.

about canadagsm: i wrote a couple of mails with them back and forth about shipping and conditions and after everything was sorted out i told them that i would like to order. no answer from them now for 2 days. seems like it's back to the drawing board. :-/
found an ebay-seller who's willing to ship to germany, but auction is still up for 3 days... and dunno how that will turn out.
anybody can suggest more online stores that will ship to germany? spend an hour or two torturing google and co but it's hard getting any results since search results are filtered by location. and i guess i cannot deny my german IP ^ ^
found a couple of phone stores but they were either out of stock of didn't have the Relay listed at all.

weird that canadagsm stopped responding. anyway negri has written on its site that it is on backorder, and that they usually ship backordered items within few work days (they probably will just buy a phone then unlock and ship it) so i think you can try and ask them.
if you wanna go the ebay way, make sure you buy a perfect (mint) condition phone, no bad imei, and that the seller will ship with tracking to you. (and, ofc, paypal payment)

yeah.. it's weird about canadagsm.. took them an hour to reply to the initial mail. but now: nothing. already re-sent the mail twice..
will contact negri when i get home since the phone on ebay dissapeared without a trace all of a sudden..

Ebay india has a sevice called 'global easybuy'. One can buy anything from ebay usa (irrespective of the seller ships internationally or not) and ebay will deliver to your doorstep. Shipping, customs etc charges are included at the time of payment and are quite nominal. Look for 'global easy buy' on ebay germany. Hope they have this service.

i have found some forwarding services, but i don't feel to comfortable with it. none of them i ever heard of. don't consider it to be too safe at all with another anonymous person in the middle.

thanks for the offer, nardholio, but i've got lucky on ebay. cell was $305, shipping was $45 via usps... and other means of shipping were clearly un-affordable.
brand new and sealed... and locked ^ ^ but that should be the least problem
let's see what the custom fee will be...
5 days and it made it to san francisco so far.. i guess that's why they call it "snail mail" ^ ^

It works really well, just getting a newer VZW phone.

Swappa.com is the official xda market place now a days. You'll get top dollar there and it only costs 10 bucks to list and u pay it once the device sells.

Actually you don't pay any fees as the seller. The buyer pays the fee (it is added to the sale price), so if you want to sell for $475, the price will appear as $485. You will, however, have Paypal collecting fees from the proceeds of the payment received (around 3%). I sold my GN2 on swappa after I got my One M8. It was actually a very easy transaction.

One thing I've noticed about swappa is every once in a while someone will try to get you to commit to lowering your price with no intention to buy it...those comments can't be removed so just keep an eye out.

Selling on XDA is not allowed and goes against site policy/rules.
Please use swappa, ebay, or another means to sell your phone.

Question How to send Pixel 7 Pro from Germany to Portugal?

any advice about how to get the P7Pro sent to my country(Portugal)? My friend in Germany already received the P7Pro, but DHL told him that as soon it arrives in Portugal, because of the battery, it will be transfered back to germany!?
Which company can send it to my country with no restrictions? UPS?

It shouldn't, because my friend from Germany recievied it there and sent via DHL to Hungary. So, everything was fine. Same rules I suppose in Portugal.

My friend had to use Hermes from Germany back in the Pixel 3 days because of this reason.

Indeed standard DHL for private parcels does not allow for international shipping of dangerous goods, which includes devices including Lithium batteries What adds insult to the injury is the fact that this vital information is somewhat hidden and of course you are not informed when buying the parcel shipping (at least not online/via App)..... Don't ask why I know
Of course you can "play lottery" and hope the parcel is not caught .....
As alternatives apparently Hermes is a good as already pointed out, a bit more costly (but also faster) are UPS and also DHL Express....

Well, I went for the DHL Express Costs about 108€!!! My friend went to DHL and the guy suggested him to send with DHL Express.
Besides my P6, now I'm sure I'll sell the Pixel watch LTE too

Would have been easier and a lot cheaper to use a parcel forwarding service.
I ordered the phone from Google Store Germany, cost me like € 5 to get it delivered to Lithuania.
