[KERNEL] Voodoo Kernel for Showcase EB11 by lmartin92 (RETIRED) - Samsung Mesmerize

Thanks to lmartin92 Showcase users have a Voodoo kernel once again. With the help of jt1134, he was able to get voodoo packed into the stock kernel. This will give you the red, modified CWM recovery as before.
Download. Put on your sdcard. Flash in recovery. Reboot and listen to the voodoo chick possess your phone. If for some reason you don't hear her the first time, just reboot into recovery, select voodoo, and enable lagfix. Then reboot.
As a precaution, disable lagfix and reboot before you flash anything or before you do a nandroid backup or restore.
Showcase EB11 Voodoo kernel
If you enjoy the fact that you get a Voodoo kernel again, consider a small donation to lmartin92. He has really worked very hard to bring you this kernel and I have a feeling that he will be doing some really good stuff for this corner of xda.
Thanks also to elijahblake for all of the help he has provided.

And you do it again my good sir.
Edit:
Flashed with no issues. She's purring now.

Thanks phidelt82
Thanks for posting this for me. I don't know what showcase users would do without you (probably sit at stock and want to hit themselves repeatedly).
Thanks

Unfortunately I'm getting blocked from downloading from MegaUpload today at work, so looks like i won't be flashing it for a while...

I have been able to download the add on packs but I have not been able to download the new pnp v.3; I thought maybe server was too busy

Signal strength loss...
Anyone else having issues with signal after flashing the Voodoo kernel? Could be coincidence, but my friend at work has a stock Showcase is still getting 1 or 2 bars, while I have the circle with the slash... I typically get 1 or 2 bars in my office, and can get a good signal outside the building, but walked out a little while ago, and couldn't get it to aquire one. Reboot hasn't helped, but at lunch I'll be going to a higher signal area, so I'll see if it comes back.

Ok, here's what seemed to be happening...
the phone put itself into Airplane mode (I didn't change the setting); even when I changed the setting to off, it stayed in Airplane mode, even after a couple of reboots. Battery pull, then reboot finally brought it back.
Just FYI in case it happens to anyone else...

You must not read much .
It's been expressed many times that until we get official source code for the 2.2 kernel, we cannot undervolt/overclock/add other voodoo goodies. What we have right now is lagfix, and that will be all until the official release.

Has anyone seen if bootanimations work now?
if so does the lagfix have to be enabled or will they work either way?

My bootanimation is working with lagfix enables, its just slow and glitchy. Also the shutdown mp3 isnt playing. Haven't tried with lagfix disabled

Looking good
I'm in for a test drive!
The more the better... Does it run on the new Modem and kernel
Ok, dancing android while charging is awesome. If you had the battery percentages in single digits that would be awesome. Also, if the charging animation consisted of like 20-25 PNG's, the dancing would be epic. Imagine the Android doing the robot dance while charging. WANT.

[ROM]Bionix 2 - The Legacy Continues - RC1 [05/15/2011]

Ladies and gentlemen I present to you, the 1st of many Team Whiskey Releases for the G2x.
Bionix, a well known ROM series on the Samsung Vibrant, created by Sombionix.
I have since moved onto a new device, bringing bout the Quality, and Speed with me. Sombionix will continue to lead the Vibrant Dev Team, while I lead the G2x Dev Team.
So, lets get started.... you are probably thinking to yourself, "what makes this ROM better than CM7, or EB?"
Well, let me tell you. We are about Speed and Quality. We dont just push out ROM after ROM, we take our time on them, nurture them, and see them grow. We thoroughly test our ROMS before we even release to our Beta Testers. We strive for perfection pretty much.
Now, though this ROM is based off the GB leak, I am taking Bionix to a whole other level starting next build. The G2x Dev Team will be a 100% AOSP base group.
Now, Onto the good stuff.
Bionix 2 - The Legacy Continues - RC1

Keyboard lag is a bigger issue than just the keyboard and driver. I verified this by replacing the driver on a test build with one from the vibrant. Same thing. Its most likely due to the 2.2.2 kernel. It def couldn't keep up with my speed thumbs.

[WIP] Triumph Rom

So ive decided to start deving my own bit of droidness this is a WIP rom and am building using ACS's build of the ec05 once aosp is released officially i will be switching over to that but until then I will get started here.
There has been a slight change i will be building based off of official Samsung release of the ec05 build from scratch I will be including the 6 mod lock screen as well as some other various changes which will be disclosed upon release in the changelog.
I would like to give thanks to pfftmedic for the help along the way here as well as chevycam over on droidforums as for he got me in to deving for aosp back on the og droid without him id be lost and wouldnt be doing this now.
I will be posting further as my work progresses and letting all know who are interested the updates of my success.
Slight delay - there will be a delay in the release i was shooting for this week but maybe a bit longer I dont want to just put out trash so I really want my first release to be something worthwhile and to build on.
Wanted to show all who are anticipating some of my custom work here is the def background that will be included in rom

yea
Thank you all I had gotten in to themeing on the og droid for a minute was working on a really nice looking red white and blue patriot theme for droid but never got to finish it had everything done though far as the framework res and such just needed to go in theme all of the standard apps and keyboard but phone was done dialer etc was clean.Wish i had some screenies to show but i reformatted and didnt think to back those up since i was no longer using them but they would have come in handy now lol oh well just about done getting everything situated on the comp got the build.prop finshed up and the updater script for the rom just need to work out the framework-res and apps themeing wont be heavily themed however as I want users to be able to customize to there liking and not mine but I promise when aosp comes out it will be very nice as i already have a good foothold in modding for og droid froyo.

TBH Release @ 12PM EST (Gingerbread)

This could possibly be the Gingerbread Team Black Hat has been working on but this was tweeted about 20 minutes ago.
As of right now you must buy and download TBH's app in order to flash this to your Charge.
In 48 hours it will be publicly free.
My mistake to TBH for posting the file too soon. I was not aware you were wanting to accumulate some reimbursement from this. My apologies.
@P3Droid
If you have a Droid Charge, you will want to fire up that TBH app, something good in approx 90 mins.
and
@P3Droid
Actually, how about 2 things in 90 mins Charge owners.
So we will be seeing something awesome very soon, Gingerbread or not. But it probably is.

From what I can tell from his Twitter posts, the "two" things are different versions of GB. One bloated, one debloated.
The big question now while waiting for the DL is how we go about installing. Do we need to disable Voodoo first, etc.

Neither are going to be Voodoo, and this leak that he's releasing will completely wipe and get rid of everything and start fresh with Gingerbread. You don't need to do anything because Odin will do it all for you. These leaked copies are also nonvoodoo, I'm almost 100% positive of that.

So we don't need to manually return to RFS file system before flashing this firmware? From what I understand, the firmware is rooted, so it is just a matter of one of our esteemed kernal makers to cook a voodoo version for us, correct?
So how is gingerbread? Can u readily go back to froyo if it doesn't work well?
It's up for download now via TBH app. Bloated and debloated and with Netflix.
I use to have a DroidX, so I purchased TBH's App a long time ago. I have definitely gotten my money's worth, and I'm always very happy and satisfied with his leaks. In fact, on the DX, I have used them as my main everyday ROM with no problems.
It's great to see TBH doing dev for the Charge. Very excited about this.
I've currently got the Debloated download on my phone, but I'm at work and I don't have the tools here to flash it. The admins here really lock the PCs down, and I don't have the app installed to flash my phone. However, when I get home it will be the first thing I do.
I'll post back here my findings, but I'm sure by then, others will have done the same. I won't be home for another 3 hours or so.
Anyway, it's Gingerbread! Don't be too worried about not having voodoo. It might be faster than voodooed Froyo. Time will tell.
Takes about 6-7 mins to flash via Odin. And Samsung boot logo will flash a few times so just be patient.

When I used TweakStock, I kept waking up and finding that my phone had turned itself off during the night. A few times, I discovered that this had happened when I pulled my phone out of my pocket after not using it for a couple of hours. Never experienced this with another ROM. Can't remember if the issue persisted after I upgraded to 1.4 (I moved to Eclipse).
After having spent 5 days using Eclipse, I wouldn't say one ROM is clearly better than the other. I think it's a little smoother and I don't get the weird shutdowns, so I'll stick with this for the time being.

Sound like something is mess-up with your phone or Kernel problem. I don't think anyone here having issue with Tweakstock shutting down phone!! The only thing I heard about is phone rebooting caused by PBJ kernel. You better check it out.

I agree that something probably went wrong since no one else seems to have this issue. Having said that, I think you're fine with either Eclipse or TweakStock. So just use whichever you like better.

Mr. DBlaze, I wish you could work on the ICS theme since Boost192 is no longer owned the Charge and the...teeth pull situation which make it forever to finish the ICS theme...maybe you should have a talk with Boost192?

If I had more time I would but for now there isn't enough time nor motivation for me to take over the ICS theme. I'll see though since ICS is the only AOSP theme I would be interested in doing.
Also, sorry OP for taking over the thread and for now on please people stay on topic out of respect for OP.
crashes tweaked 2.0
Tried installing the gauge icon back onto my phone several times after upgrading to the latest tweak, but it kept throwing it into bootloops. Is there something that can be done to make these mods work for themed tweaked 2.0 with fp1pbj?

They would have to be redone - too much changed between 1.4 and 2.0 for these to work (as you have already found out).
