[Q] Bluetooth Headphones - HTC Inspire 4G

I am looking for a new bluetooth headset. I used to use "Rocketfish™ Mobile - RF-MAB2 High-Definition Stereo Bluetooth Headphones" (can't post links yet) on my iphone. But now I have the HTC Inspire and these headphones work sometimes. I can always use the voice dialing and talk to people, but the media part only works when it wants to. I synced it with my old iphone and it works fine there.
So I am looking for a new set that works flawlessly with the Inspire. Nothing to expensive tho.
Any Ideas?

Well, BT headsets are a dime a dozen nowdays. It all comes down to price and comfort, with comfort being the most important thing to consider. I'd hit Amazon to browse the selection and read user reviews, then do a price check for the one that suits you best. I am using Plantronics 925 and like it OK.

Thanks, I just wanted to make sure I got a pair that worked good with the phone. Unlike my current one.. Searching amazon right now.
Edit: Just reset my phone and tried pairing it up again, and now it works.... Lets hope it stays...

Which Bluetooth headset works without problems with XDAII?

I've seen earlier posts with problems with the JABRA BT200 (Which was top of my list for an Xmas pressy).
Can anyone tell me of Bluetooth headset that actually works well (ie without any problems) with the XDA II...
Just so I'm not frustrated on Xmas morning incase Father Xmas does bring me one ?
Greg
ive tried to jabra bt200 and neither would even pick up the call. They bonded OK but that was it! I have yet to find one that's ok.
I've been using Jabra200 for a three weeks with xdaII, having used it with dongle on xda1, and haven't had any of the problems, posted here.
It's great to be able to answer calls simply by pressing button on headset instead of fumbling for phone.
why are there not any more stereo bluetooth headsets ?
renember a few months back i did a search on google and only found one
having a mono headset dont really do it for me when you listen to music on the xda aswell
this is how they looked cant recall that brand but they are kinda ugly and bulky

this is a bit better looking but since it have mp3 in them maybe it still only streem from the xda in mono

Hi !
I have HBH-35 and work fine.
Anyone knows where to get Jabra BT250? The store selling must shipped internationally.
Some conflicting info here..
So we have some conflicting info here. One person who the BT200 does not work and one that it does.. Odd.. maybe they fixed a bug with newer version ?
The Sony Ericsson HBH-35 is a bit pricey..
http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=105947
The Jabra 250 is better priced :
http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=108165
anyone tried it ?
Keep them coming by the way... all suggestions welcome..
Sony Ericson HBH-65 works OK although it was only a test in the shop. But receives calls no prooblem.
Not tried the Nokia yet or a new jabra headset (can't remember the model) will try tonight if I get time.
Cheers, Shire

of they dont ship international then i'm sure there are links in the google search which lead to places which does
Ive been using a Plantronics M3000 with my XDA II for a week without any problems. I picked mine up for £56 from dabs so its definately an option worth considering.
HBH-30 works fine
Nextlink Bluespoon Chameleon works beautifully.
I've heard lots of good things about this one, and it's only $40 after MIR, so I ordered it:
http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=90119243&loc=111&sp=1
I'll know in a few days (when it arrives) if it works with the XDA II or not..

Hello,
could it be??
My MDA is not working with Jabra 200. I can bond them, then i can receive calls and can make calls!! But, if i switch the headset off and on, it works no more, until i bond them again, but the Jabra was still bondet in the configuration.....
The Jabra seems to be o.k., i used it before with my SE P800.
Best regards, Oliver

OK I tried the new BT headset from BodyGlove tonight in the shop. I gotta say I was impressed, so much so I bought the only one we had lol. Sound was clear and load, and the mic was clear on the other end, well according to the misses.
Thought, mmm, maybe some cash to be earnt here so I looked on eBay to see what they were selling for.
We are going to sell them in the shop for £69.99, I paid £45 for mine at cost price, and there is a guy on eBay selling em for £45 + £2.50 P&P.
I have used this guy before too, you will see some positive feedback from me, so I know it's genuine.
Check it out

HBH-65 works fine on my i-mate.
Jabra Bluetooth
Jabra Bluetooth works superbly!! I am delighted with it!
Bluetooth Headset That Works
I have been using the BLUETREK G2 for 3 weeks I have only had to charge it once in this time and I use it every day it works perfect with XDA 2 very light great sound, bonds everytime, excellent. Bought on ebay for less than £50.00
The skypower EXclip works ok, nothing fancy but it lets you know if you are out of range, lets you know when its on and also doesnt need rebonding, it cant be used yet to originate calls or voice dialling but I hope the new O2 rom will address that issue. Cost me £18 on ebay.
XDA II with Bluetooth headset = battery dead before lunch!!!
Thats what they dont tell you!!

N1: Best Bluetooth Headset?

Looking to get a new bluetooth headset. Got the Jawbone ICON and volume is really low, so I'm looking for another one... Any ideas? Thanks
http://reviews.cnet.com/headsets/plantronics-voyager-pro/4505-13831_7-33628984.html?tag=mncol;lst
Seems to get the best overall reviews of any headset... Though it isn't "stylish" -.-... I prefer function over form though. Google searches + review sites generally give good overall reviews of different devices. I research EVERYTHING before I buy... If I was buying a headset, this is what I'd own.
For now though, the only time I use my phone with bluetooth is while in the car... And for that, I use the Kenwood KDC-x993 . (Now THAT, is a wonderful device )
I have a few, Blue Ant Z9, Z9i, and a Jawbone (using the jawbone now). While the Jawbone is the most aesthetically pleasing, I find it pretty damn uncomfortable. :-\ Haven't really had a problem volume wise though, and it's range is quite a bit better than the Z9's.
I have the Sennheiser mm200. They sound just as good as the cx300's in terms of sound quality. Call quality is good also.

Do you have any problem with your Z9 and your rooted N1? My N1 cannot see the Z9. Maybe I need to update the Z9 firmware?
I've been using my Moto S9 and although the quality is good I'm looking to buy a regular headset for just calls. I've seen some talk about Jawbone's Icon. For those of you that do have it how good is it?

I've read several positive reviews of the Jawbone Icon, but that's about it.
I have the Jawbone Ace. I also use myTalk as well. The only negative is that the N1 does not support voice dialing from the BT headset. I mean come on, voice commander for WinMo can do it...wtf? hehe
But I have used the Icon a few times and being a longtime Jawbone fan, I can say its worth the price. The noise assassin is actually better IMO than the prior Jawbone I have and I thought that kicked a$$. I use my plantronics 590 to stream music and answer calls too if needed.
And the other negative is the lack of volume control on the headset itself. The only way to adjust it is on the phone, which is odd, but he technology methods change every day.
OT: Any comments on my custom signature logo? LOL

I'm a bit disappointed in the face that it doesn't have a volume rocker ... Does it display the battery meter on the N1 or is that just for the iPhone?
The batt icon is only for iPhone
i have the Plantronics Discovery 975 and i LOVE it. its loud, comfortable, great charge, and it has an awesome case wich has a battery in it for on the go charging which is awesome for me.

Great. Now I want one.
I have two my main one is a plantronics voyager pro which i absolutly love, and when it dies i have some jabra one.
I have motorola h17 and works great with n1 and the good is that h17 is not always on with the phone only when you need it ....
I have had zero issues with my Icon. I've used it in the car and turned the volume up pretty loud on the radio while talking and didn't have any issues, and neither did the person I was talking to...
The Icon is much much better than all prior Jawbones...
I'm not sure why you're having an issue with the volume? Maybe try different ear pieces to make it fit better so the sound will enter your ear better?
motorola H 790 crystal talk
stereo bt headset
I've had my ht820 for about 3 years. Still working great with every phone I've had, from win-mo to android. Calls come in clear, and you can be heard pretty well, even outside, although the wind does bother at times, but that should be true of most headsets.
After an hour or so the back of your ear starts to bother. Other than that they work pretty well. I usually use it for excercise or around the house (when its not connected to the laptop or ps3)
I have the Motorola S9 and Jabra BT620s... and both work brilliantly with the N1... no connection issues... full A2DP audio streaming... clear in-call voice... Though I like the S9 better since it's easier to carry and is sweat-proof!

Headset remote problem

Am I the only one who's noticed that the headset controls don't work for pausing/playing or really doing anything with music at all? No matter what headset I try, the remote control just jumps straight to the recent calls list and attempts to call the last person I dialed..what gives? Is this unique to me or is anyone else experiencing this? Does anyone know of an in-ear canal headset that has working music remote controls?
try using a different music player from market such as cubed ^3 or mixzing, then go into the setting for that music player and make sure use headphone controls is activated
I just tried both of those music apps, and while I HAVE to thank you for showing me mixzing (nice improvement over the stock android app), the headset controls STILL do the same thing! I unchecked and rechecked the settings and no matter what, the phone always defaults to opening the recent calls list instead of pausing/playing/skipping..
Is there anyone else out there having this issue with their Epic? Perhaps I got a defective unit?
glad u liked mixzing, cubed in my opinion is even sicker. I get my epic tomorrow so ill check and let u know how it goes
Thanks for your help Ravizzle - I'm anxiously awaiting your results! I tried cubed, but I found the cube interface a little too flashy and unintuitive - I did only give it a single glance over and headset check, so perhaps I need to give it a bit more time next time
Got my epic today, sadly it didnt work for me either with the included wired headset. My stereo bluetooth is charging so ill try that out and see, but so far its disappointing that headphone controls dont work, perhaps the email the devs for mixzing and cubed and maybe they need to add support for epic still cuz its new.
Well I guess it's good news mine's not defective..but still pretty freking annoying. I'm surprised I don't hear many people complaining about this..I've tried a bluetooth headset and the controls do appear to work, but I hate the look of wearing a BT headset - I feel sort of..well I wont go in to that. Regardless, I realize there are devices like the the Jabra Clipper which would make me feel slightly less..you know. Anyone have any preferences on devices like these?
I use the Motorola Rokkers Bluetooth. They don't look silly cause it's on both ears unlike those Jawbreaker things. They look very sporty and I use them for walking and bicycle riding. The sound is HD and the controls all work. I am using 3 cube music.
I noticed that I can't answer a call (unlike my Evo and Moment) when using with the Epic. That sucks, but all the music controls work fine and the sound is incredible. My Rokkers are a year or so old - maybe I'll try the newer ones to see if I get the phone controls back.

I too am surprised at the lack of post about the BT problems. I have no handsfree control on the epic. For one that paid full retail for the phone I pretty POed about it. (Plus no spell checker in email, can't download attachments via exchange) I smell a 30day return coming if things don't improve.
I use the lg hbs 200 bluetooth stereo headset and i like them a lot. They are lightweight and they fold up nicely. U can get em off amazon. heres the amazon link http://www.amazon.com/LG-SGBS0001606-Bluetooth-Headset-HBS-200/dp/B001KHVRJU
Well, I just ended up getting a Jabra Clipper. Amazon and Verizon stores both sell them, and it serves my needs well. You can use the headphones of your choice (though it comes with an OK pair), and all remote functions work. I like it so far (especially since I don't look like a tool with a big flashing blue light around my neck).
Highly suggested!

I bought this, too; I had the older dogtag mini-usb model, but the audio out had broken... Verizon has it with free overnight shipping for ~$5 cheaper than Amazon right now.
I ran into a problem, though -- I couldn't get it working with my music player. No play/pause, no next/prev. Someone else suggested TuneWiki, so I installed that and it actually works great, but it's something to be aware of if you're considering this.
(Also, in place of dedicated next and prev buttons, you have to hold the vol-up and vol-down for a second or so, but but it works pretty okay. I wish the volume buttons on the phone worked like that, too. )
For those of you wondering why- It's because samsung puts there polarity in different order than most companies do. When people make headphones they generally make them to the polarity of apple's.
This is also why bluetooth ones work fine, and wired don't.
Do you guys hear buzzing when you use headphones with a mic?

Great bluetooth reciever on Amazon!!

Hiya folks. this is my 1st post. so i thought i'd turn you onto this great bluetooth receiver i got from amazon. Since this is my 1st post, i can't post the link. but here's what to look for...
Sony Ericsson Hi-Fi Bluetooth Stereo Headset with FM Radio
& i included a pic too.
I needed a bluetooth that'll allow me to listen to music as well as make & take phone calls. plus i needed bud style since i can not have them in both ears at work. this has worked out so well that i may buy another one, just as a backup.
This allows for me to use any headphones i want (didn't like one it came with). sound quality is great!! plus fm radio built into the device, so i can listen to my morning shows, & save some battery... then switch on Pandora for the rest of the day & jam out!!
hope you find this as great as i do!!
I may be on the hunt for a bud replacement for my motorolas... this looks nice and sleek. Good find! Thanks!
Personally, I'm using the Jabra BT8010. It's a discontinued stereo bt headset, but it features a mini oled screen, built in equalizer, jog wheel, mini phone book, as well as takedown for mono bt mode.
check ebay for it. I use it and I love it.
I've got a Jabra BT3030 that looks like a metal dog tag and takes any 3.5mm set of earphones. They don't make them any more, but you can find them for cheap on eBay.
The only thing I don't like is its non-standard charger.
Yea..this this uses the same usb port as the g2.
have been using it for a few months and it works great
the only complain i have is the volume slider, it sucks so hard....

Good bluetooth headphones?

Anyone know of any high quality bluetooth headphones with a mic? They would have to be the in ear kind. I'm willing to spend up to 200. I've been searching around and their really aren't that many to choose from. I work in security and most of the time I'm baby sitting empty buildings so they would have to be descret enough not to be noticed on the camera's if anyone choose to review them. Taking all suggestions. Bluetooth is kinda my last resort.. I really don't want to part with my CM7. Lol

Have you looked into these? They got crazy good reviews when they released. Sweatproof, small, secure.
I've wanted a pair since they dropped but still have my Moto S9's so I can't justify it. I wish those damn things would break already!

Yeah, I've read a lot of good things about those. I also had the Moto s9's Hd and not. Hd's were much better but still sucked. SOOO MUCH STATIC. whenever the music would go down or change songs I would hate myself because it sounded terrible. I convinced myself that I needed them because I felt like my wire got stuck everywhere. Anyway, long story short got myself these. Never looked back. The only problem I forsee is they are sound proof.

The i's pause button will work.. play sometimes. It will work with the last music player app you add.. it's weird. I know. If you have any questions pm me.
Edit: Both of my motorola's broke in one way or another. One the speaker ripped out because I dropped it, and the other.. just stopped working? Idk.. I had to send it in for something and they sent me a new one... the HD set.

I'm finding there's not many high end in ear bluetooth headphones. So I might just give up on bluetooth altogether. But thanks for the input.

well that is simple. Just buy a stereo receiver and you can use what ever headset you prefer. I prefer ITA (in the ear) speakers
You can use this one:

or this one

OK, so I'm watching a movie -through Infuse- via the HDMI port and I'm receiving a call (on Infuse)
Would I be able to take the call and leave the rest of the family enjoying the movie?
I'm asking this because in theory Android can/could drive two different sound (one through HDMI, another through my bluetooth headset/handsfree for calls), but is this possible IN PRACTICE?
Has anyone tried that?
I'm sorry for the question, but I do not own a BT headset and depending on the answer to the above I will decide on buying it/that. I have no qualms installing custom roms if need be...

bluetooth headphones
I have the jaybird JP3MB bluetooth headphones. I think they are superb. I can tell you when listening to music taking a call will pause the music and it resumes upon hangup. I would think movies might do the same thing.
Not In-ear but over the ear...
I have the Arctic P311 Bluetooth Stereo Headphones, paid $34 for them locally (via Amazon). They sound great flat and even better with some EQ. I would like to see/hear the difference between them and these other seemingly overpriced Bluetooth headphones.
I was going to purchase the Nokia BT headphones but saw these and at $34 what risk is there???
Not disappointed at all!
Sure they might not sound as great as ones plugged directly into the phone, but they don't sound bad at all and more than acceptable especially with all the stuff I've heard about Bluetooth SQ.
I originally bought these for my Pantech Link which has no phone output. You can buy a special connector that goes into where you make the connection to charge the phone and for data connection as well.
I highly recommend the Plantronics Backbeat 903+. I've had them for a few months, and use them whenever working out. The call/mic quality is pretty good, as is the music/speaker quality. My only complaint would be that it's a little flat on the bass end; other than that, I really like them.
My friend tried them out once, and bought a pair the same day. His, however, stopped working after a couple runs on the treadmill. He thinks it's because he sweats a lot and they got wet. Plantronics replaced them free of charge and he never had the same issue again.
There are actually a newer version of them out now, called the Backbeat Go. I haven't tried them, so I have no idea how they sound or feel. They seem like they'd be more comfortable to wear, especially when running or working out.
i can vouch for the first reply; i got a pair of jaybird jf3's and they work amazingly well. pricey, but worth it
