No bootloader - JASJAR, XDA Exec, MDA Pro ROM Development

When i finish the installation of an corrupted windows files my qteck 9000 can't enter to the bootloader have you any idea about this problem ??? and thanks

Remove the battery for 24 hours.
Re-install the battery, plug in USB data cable and computer connections.
Press and hold: "light button"+"power button" poke and hold the "reset hole. "
If that does not work, try another key combination key + poke hard and hold the "reset hole"; other models such as the brush the wrong ROM, there may be so into the boot mode.

i check power on in bootloader mode but this option not working... hard reset don' t working too.
Push the "com manager" + "Camera" + "Power" Buttons together then put the stylus to the reset hole and reset the PDA with pushed three buttons.
Then it askes you to push the green button for mater reset, and you have to push it and bingo!

"Just get into download mode and..."
Ever find yourself with a phone that's misbehaving, and you can't seem to figure out how to get it to download mode?
Here's a list of things to try (many thanks AdamOutler and Pirateghost), sorted in a "where are you now" setup:
FROM A POWERED-DOWN STATE - BATTERY REMOVED
- Insert battery, then press and hold Vol+ and Vol-, then insert your USB cable.
- Press and hold Vol+/Vol-, Insert Battery, Insert USB cable
- Press and hold Vol+/Vol-, Insert USB cable, Insert Battery
- Use a 301Kohm jig between USB pins 4-5 (can be manufactured jig or homemade chain of resistors)
FROM A BATTERY CHARGING STATE
- With USB cable inserted into Android device, press and hold Vol+/Vol-, then press Power
- (Advanced Method) Use UART, and during battery charging, type "reboot download"
FROM CLOCKWORKMOD RECOVERY MENU
- Position the cursor (highlighted selection) on "Restart device", Plug in USB cable, press and hold Vol-, then hold Vol+, then press power
- (Where available) Use the "Reboot Download" option in the "Advanced" menu
FROM A FULLY BOOTED PHONE STATE, WITH USB DEBUGGING ENABLED
Note: you may need to have ADB installed on your computer, and/or an Android Terminal Emulator installed on your Android device.
- Connect your Android device to your computer, navigate to your ADB directory, and type "adb reboot download"
- (Where available) Use the rom's power menu option to reboot into download
- From a terminal, type "su", then "reboot download"
- Download the app "quickboot", follow the app directions to reach download mode.
ADVANCED METHODS - REQUIRE HARDWARE MODIFICATIONS OR MORE IN-DEPTH TECHNIQUES
I'm presenting these largely unedited, as I don't want to incorrectly type an important detail of something that I don't understand myself.
- Apply UnBrickable mod to your device, then remove the battery, insert the battery, and click the "Download Mode" button on the computer
- Use UART (619Kohm resistor between USB pins 4-5, D+=RX, D-=TX, 192500bps 8n1 comms), press and hold ENTER while booting, then type USB
One additional thing - your download mode screen should, normally, look like the yellow triangle with the Android guy digging. However, if a flash goes foul somehow, you may be left with the infamous "phone--/!\--PC" screen. If you see this, don't panic. Although it's not technically the download mode screen, many users (including myself) have been able to successfully flash from that screen. Give it a try.
Oh, and thanks mrhaley30705 for suggesting this thread.

No problem. I'm just glad you had time to do it.
Thank you! I have been trying for MONTHS to get this mofo into download mode!!
Maybe a mod can sticky this and save some extra posts. Wishful thinking possibly.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using XDA App
Recommended to be stickied to a mod.
Stickied and added to roll up
Stickied and added to the sticky roll up but I have one question - aren't there differences between getting into download mode between Froyo vs. Gingerbread? Wouldn't that be worthwhile highlighting - or not, just wondering
Only for I9000 bootloaders.
And with those its super easy, no USB chord needed, just volume down and power that's it.
Ok, unstuck and now closing this thread.

On the HTC Titan it was by pressing Vol down + Camera & Power. Should be the same since the 8x is the next main upgrade from it.
** Please let me know if it works (Y-Cable ubrand or flash)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_JrCfQaUAqU
Either way it should be some combination using the volume keys and the camera ... Good thing it there not many combinations
up + camera
down + camera
up & down +camera
up & down
I think just down sends it Zune mode which is useless unless with zune lol
No, none combinations doesn't work.
Mostly phone goes into bootloader mode with serial\usb connection, file check\search from y-cable doesn't start at all.
Seems everything is changed from older htc winphones.
Take a look at hardreset for 8x:
http://www.hard-reset.com/htc-8x-hard-reset.html
VOLUME DOWN + POWER button - brings exclamation mark on phone
VOLUME UP + POWER button - brings lightning mark on phone
In these modes sequence of buttons without any confirmation on screen leads to result(see hard reset).
I guess usb host mode can be reached through these actions.

lol those sneaky bastards who knows how many combinations are possible when you can now add multiple same button sequences... While having the y-cable plugged in with a proper goldcard then usb-host would be the only mode the usb gets accessed (blinking light etc).
Unless the icon is just a cover for an underlying menu. Volume Up activates the menu, Volume Down Picks Factory Reset, Power accepts it, Volume down is the reboot acceptance. (" Reset complete, press volume down to reboot" etc)
Probably, security in 8x\8s has mooved to htc javacard and without it in y-cable proccess even doesn't start.

Tried to do factory reset, phone is now bricked/dead?

In a corporate environment and got a galaxy s6 back from a user.
I was able to log into it fine, removed all accounts present and then selected Factory reset.
It then booted and hung at the Samsung splash screen. I held vol up/down/power and got the maintenance menu.
If I choose boot normally, safe or reset it would do the same thing, hang at Samsung splash and get crazy hot.
If I select power down, it would "turn off" but the blue led would stay stuck on. If I plugged the power back in it would show the battery charge icon but never update, even if I unplug it that pic would stay on.
So I let it die over the weekend and that's exactly what it's done. I've plugged it back in, no charging icon or LEDs after being plugged in for an hour so no idea what to do with this thing.

Download and run this;
https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3803841&d=1467715462
When you open the program, type the values given here;
Model: SM-G920V
Region: VZW
Auto: Selected
Manual: Unselected
Binary Nature: Selected
Check CRC32: Selected
Decrypt automatically: Selected
When you write and select options given above, press "Check Update" and then press "Download" to download factory firmware for your device.
Once the download has been finished, extract the zip file that you've downloaded via SamFirm.
After unzip it, download and run this;
https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3804544&d=1467772303
When you open it, press BL and select file which starts with BL from downloaded (from Samfirm) and extacted zip folder.
Do the same thing for AP, CP, CSC.
When you set 4 files to Odin;
Press & hold volume down + home + power buttons. A warning screen will show up. When you saw it, release the buttons and press volume up one time. You should see "Downloading..." screen on your phone. That means your phone is in download mode.
Connect your phone to your PC in download mode and click "Start" on Odin.

Unfortunately I cannot get any response from the phone. Plugging USB in doesnt show any icons or LEDs that its charging. Holding all kinds of button combinations doesnt do anything either.
I put it on a wireless charger and the charger LED goes green as if its charging it yet it doesnt warm up or show any responses on the phone itself.
I do have an extra S6 so not sure if its worth trying to open and swap the battery and see what happens but I dont have a suction cup to get that screen off.

If you try to press & hold volume down + home + power buttons up to 10 seconds and couldn't get any reactions, then it could be motherboard issue.

Yea, I held em for a minute, nothing. And as mentioned I cant get any response to trying to charge it either.
However it was working perfectly fine prior to trying to factory reset it.
It was from a user that had quit. i was able to power it on and reset the unlock pin through our MDM console, got in, looked around, deleted google account, hit reset and that was the end of it.

[Resolved] Toshiba WT7-C Windows Tablet BIOS/UEFI Reset

Hi guys.
I did a stupid move few weeks ago that make me pain in the ass!
I would like to perform a clean Windows 10 installation by removing all partitions including annoying hidden recovery partition.
Plus, I TURNED OFF THE XHCI FUNCTION IN BIOS!
As the result, I don't have any OS to boot, nor getting into BIOS.
With this model (I'm not sure if other similar Windows tablets are the same or not), if EFI partition is missing or USB EFI bootable disk attached, tablet won't let you enter BIOS!
For sure, you can use touchscreen to control cursor. But YOU CANNOT ENTER BIOS even you can see it on the screen (by pressing volumn up and power until power up)!
OK. I cut the crap. I tried to search every forum and called up to customer care. There is not an proper answer to let you know how to reset bios (not reset the OS).
Here is the trick:
1. Power off the tablet completely (long press power button until shut down)
2. Hold down Volumn UP+ and Power key until power up.
3. You will now have the screen with <enter setup> prompt, which you cannot click it to get into BIOS.
4. Hold down Volumn UP+ and Power key until screen off and KEEP PRESSING them, until you have the screen back on with the prompt telling you BIOS is reset and ask if you would like to reset the date and time as well.
That's it. It is that simple but nobody post it online that help others.~
Hope this help you all.
