A way to unroot my phone would be helpful as I have been haing some problems with my phone. I believe these to be Samsung software issues such as stuck in thee booting prosess. Im on my second phone and have had to hard reset it several times

In the forum search look fo "z4root". I used it to root my epic . It took a few uninstall-reinstall-reboot-run-repeat cycles but I am successfully rooted and didn't even need a PC
Epic is as Epic does
Thanks ill try that.

I tried the z4root and another one click root I found on the forums nneither of them worked. Probably because im running 2.2. I found a one click root using a computer so I think that will be my next attempt

Has anyone come out with an app for stock gingerbread nonroot that has screen capture capabilities? I'm on a stock Nexus One running Android 2.3.3

Try "Shootme" peoples saying it work without root.
Is anyone developing anything to take advantage of the Gingerbread native screen capture capabilities?
Id have thought it would be a popular app if something were to make it to the Market. Or is the limited availability of Gingerbread putting developers off?

Unless the phone is rooted, ShootMe does not work. I tried it on Nexus One 2.3.3.

Maybe it's due to the 2.3.3 but I know a few peoples using it without root. Even some nexus one owner.

It works on certain unrooted phones but not the Nexus One unless on a custom Rom maybe (which would suggest rooted)

You can, but I don't think it will work. There have been reports, on CM7 GB 2.3.4 plus flashing the GAPPS that include the new APK, that the video portion doesn't work.
Perhaps they don't have the background services set up yet?
Does any device have it working?
The Nexus S

If you guys find the name of the device that supports it - all we need to do is change the name in build.prop and download the .zips that are everywhere. Push the files, and it should make it work.
But I can not figure out which device supports it...
The nexus s

Here's the general thread where the app is being worked on. Seems like it's working on a handful of devices, both 2.3.3 and 2.3.4.

So did anyone try changing the build.prop device name to nexus S ?
I have a Nexus S running GTJ61. Am I gonna get 4.0 or not?
Better yet, I've been trying to run the Gingerbreak v1.20 apk to root the phone but I don't think it'll work.
What's the easiest way to root, or will Gingerbreak work??
Any info on the ICS update as well would be appreciated.
