[Q] Generic Tablet Firmware - Need advice for some issues - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

Hey there, Need some advice.
I'm working on cleaning up the ROM/Firmware i got with my generic Chinese Android 2.2 tablet.
I cleaned it up a bit and pre-rooted it, but now I want to fix a few things. I looked up and searched the issues, but I can't find enough information. I'd appreciate any suggestions and links to info I can look at.
1) When I flash the firmware again, On first boot I get a selection screen for two activities - 'DefaultActivity' and 'Setup Wizard'. Running the first gets me to the last stage of the Setup Wizard more or less, upon which the normal Setup Wizard ('Touch Android to continue') starts. Doing it in reverse crashes the Wizard somehow.
2) The system thinks i have a physical device keyboard - How do i change this so it believes its a virtual-only keyboard device?
Thanks in advance for any help.

So.. Any help here will be appreciated. Really.

[Q] HD2 Android first boot App Install Window.

Hi there guys ,
I hope this finds you all in the best of your health.
Im trying to get that screen back where it gives you a list of little applications you want to install right after first boot of the phone after installing Android.
I accidentally fat fingered it and hit cancel and I think Im missing a lot of apps.
Specially the version of market is pretty old and I need that updated.
How do I do I get it back??
I installed MDJ's Cyanogen 7 2.3 Mod.
I tried to search for this issue but I couldnt find anything.
Any suggestions & help would be monumentally appreciated.

LG MyTouch E739 Boot Issue

First thing...greetings! Yes, I am a n00b (loved the video, though) and have searched for quite a while to hopefully resolve the issue I am currently burdened with. A thousand pardons if there is already another thread like mine, but I just couldn't find anyone with the same issues I am having.
First off, I started with rooting my phone. No problems.
Got my hands on ClockworkMod's ROM Manager. Downloaded Cyanogenmod 9 to my PC, and any other necessary programs to get this flashing underway. Opened up ROM Manager and proceeded to boot in recovery. This is where I think the problem originated. I wiped all that I needed (or so I think). It's entirely possible that I may have missed something. Not sure. After wiping it clean, I then went on to install the zip of cyanogenmod. All went well. Then the reboot. It starts up and gets to the loading screen with the really cool animation. 5 minutes. 10 minutes. It's constantly loading. I head on to google and search some possible culprits and solutions. There were suggestions to go back into recovery mode, but the thing is, when I try to get to that menu, it doesn't seem to pop up and goes right back to attempting to boot.
So, all things said...is there any possible solution? Any help would be greatly appreciated. And again, if there were any threads with my specific issue, many many apologies!
Thanks again!

[Q] Help Needed with Thunderbird I5S Replica

Hi There
I have recently purchased a Thunderbird i5S Golden. According to the supplier website it is the following spec;
MTK6572 Dual Core CPU 1.3Ghz*2
1GB RAM, 8GB Rom
4.2.2 OS with IOS7 Theme Pack (Loader, icons etc)
I had a couple of issues when I received it, base language installed as Chinese, although I could select UK English, the base language stayed as Chinese.
Google PlayStore wasn't installed from factory (had about 3 versions of the Chinese app markets) Had MAJOR issues trying to get this working. Well to be honest, it has never worked. GPS also doesn't seem to work.
Anyway, rooted the phone using the one button root method, cant remember the software but was pretty simple
After farting around for another couple of hours, removing some of the Chinese bloatware, found that I still couldn't use the phone as I wished (still in Chinese, still with crap app markets etc) Google Play installed but would never download anything (would say it was installing but never would)
After using rootexplorer, I found the SYSTEMfolder called APP_UK. This contained all of the UK app's and Keyboard layouts etc. Doing without thinking I renamed the old APP folder and replaced with the APP_UK, but this doesn't contain ANY of the startup procedures, files etc,
Phone now stuck on the boot screen, can get into the Chinese factory mode and factory reset but it doesn't help, it comes up with a green android man with his chest open and a red exclaimation mark (my guess is that it cant find any of the boot up files) Can also load up a menu (although upside down) which advises :> Normal Boot :> Fast Boot or :>Recovery (Tried all three)
So to the questions:
Firstly does anyone have any ideas on how I can get onto the phone drive without it booting correctly (using COM ports or something). Ive tried using various software to get onto the phone but without it booting it cannot find the drives. (Using Win7 x64) Various drivers etc.
Secondly: Can anyone suggest an ios7 ROM for the MTK6572 in UK English, Rooted, with Google Play Store.
Tried contacting the suppliers but they are about as useful as a chocolate teapot. Ive requested a UK ROM from them so will see if they do come back with anything.
Any help greatly appreciated. Im new to the android flash and root world so be gentle
Thanks
Jamie

[Completed] how to change android on tablet

Hi all!!
I have a tablet (MIIA MT-733G) and it worked perfectly. Last month it took 2 virus (TIME SERVICE and MONKEY TEST) and now I just cant use ut anymore. It connects itselfs to data or wifi and starts downloding 3475364576340583760 of useless apps!!!!!
I rooted it, I tried to reset to factory, I tried to use apps to remove those 2 virus from the sys directory..but they are still there!
This is why I'm here! I'd like to do one last try. I'd like to remove the android sistem and install it again. I hope this way those stupid viruses will be deleted!!
And here it is my second problem! I don't know if there is a rom for my tablet, because it isn't produced by a famous mark like Samsung or LG or Sony. It has been produced by MIIA!
MODEL : MT-733G
ROM Version: ALPS.JB5.TABLET.GBXYHQV2
Could someone please help me? I 'm going mad..I really need my tablet, but I just can't use it this way !

Hello, and welcome to XDA!
Unfortunately, I cannot see any resources on the site about your tablet. I would suggest contacting MIIA, for the stock firmware (can explain the virii problem), or even warranty work (if available, and especially if you didn't modify the device - i.e. root).
The virii could have rooted the device themselves by the way - all it would have needed is a hook like StageFright (and 4.2 Jellybean is very vulnerable to those things). Which means, option one (getting the stock firmware from MIIA) is a better option over warranty because it is likely this problem will happen again. And again.
Last ditch effort to find stock firmware here would be to make a thread in this forum (once registered for an account):
> Android Development and Hacking > Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
