Anyone else dying to play Words with Friends on you new Inspire but keeps getting the force close everytime you run the app? I tried rebooting and reinstalling this app but to no avail.
Running on stock rom, waiting for my extra microsd card to arrive so I can root and install custom roms.

Same issue here on custom ROM, been happening for a day or so since Words with Friends updated. Extra frustrating is the fact that the app resets itself after FC, forcing me to re-enter account info.
Good to know I'm not the only one. I hope we get an update to fix this issue soon...
Working fine here. I had issues when I did the update without un-installing it first but after I did that everything is good. I'm running CM7 if that matters.
I gave up on words with friends and went back to wordfeud. Hopefully the devs of words with friends will get it straightened out soon.

Aha! I actually tried installing the app again today and it now works. They must have fixed the issue and I'm glad they did.
Words with Friends worked for me on stock ROM since day 1. The first day I rooted and flashed Anrdoid Revolution, I installed Words with Friends and it worked fine. I've seen 1 FC from the app since I've had the phone, but all I had to do was restart the app and it loaded right back to my games
It worked for me for a little while but now it pops up with some wierd web address
Have you tried rebooting and/or installing the app?

If you are using Android Revolution(or some other custom ROMs), the hosts file blocks the ads in the app. Either revert to a non-adblocking hosts file or a different ROM.
they just had an update, uninstall words and redownload. i havnt had a fc since then. good luck
even on the latest version, I can't even play! Just force closes when I log in!
Judging by the stack trace I think something in the logon was breaking it. I saw in the stack trace that the app was trying to parse a null value as an integer, which isn't so cool.
I just set up for a packet capture -- but I'm now able to log in again and the game is working fine. Hopefully they don't break their login protocol again, and ideally they make the app a little more robust if the server sends back unexpected data.
I was also getting tons of FC's on custom roms until i ran a fix permissions in CMR. Now it works perfectly
So what do you guys suggest for those who are using unrooted, stock ROMs? Any suggestions?
I go into the apps settings and clear the cache and force close it.. this usually makes it reload the game data which takes a few min, but it works again for me for a while. I do need to tweak the hosts file blocking ads. It causes huge broken ads that make the game unplayable at times.
Yeah when wwf starts acting up again and comes up with a force close (or any bug at all!) all the time, clear your cache and data and try again. Reboot in between if you have to. If that doesn't work, try uninstalling, rebooting and reinstalling again. Sometimes you just need to reboot to fix the issue is what I found out based on my phone. Hope this helps!
I'm having a problem with the market. This doesn't happen all the time, but it seems to happen a lot. When I download an app, it shows it's downloading, then once it's downloaded nothing happens. Sometimes if I download the app 10+ times it will finally work. I just flashed Firefly 2.5 again, after trying a different ROM. The other times I was running FireFly I didn't have this problem. This also happened occasionally with Perception and Cognition.
I thought it was caused by the app Lookout. When I uninstalled Lookout it definitely happened less, but it still happens.
I have always loaded the same ROMs on my wifes phone, and hers never has this problem. I read that unlocking the phone can alter the IMEI and cause market issues, but I have never unlocked the phone, and the IMEI is unchanged.
I don't know if it's related but I never could get the apps to install when you try to do it on market.android.com from a desktop. The same thing happens, downloads then nothing.

Anyone having any issues with Chrome to Phone app from the market? Everytime I try to go through the setup i'm getting "Error: Unable to connect". Working fine on my Nexus 1 still, but can't seem to get my sensation to setup.
Doing this on 4G (Tried WIFI); tried reboot, tried uninstall, cleared cache...dunno what else could be up unless it's account related.
No issues here. Seems to be running fine for me.
Likewise working well here.

same issue here. havent found a fix yet
Looking over the reviews on the market it seems there may be a server issue with some accounts; counted at lest 5 people stating the same error hmm. Went to retry the setup on my N1 by removing and re linking now i have the same error on the N1. Using my secondary (read: porn account) it works fine :/
Hopefully it's a temp issue; C2P is invaluable for my travel!
Just bumping this with some more info; since all you guys are going to be flashing again now; you may hit up against this issue also.

Please Star and comment if your having the issue also; they've yet to acknowledge this one just yet although it's been close to a year since first reported but as people began flashing more it will likely continue to increase; it went from about 5 till like June then jumped to almost 30 in July.
So I got this problem with twitter. I try to login but it tells me to try again another time. I tried now for 3 days with wifi/3G but I get the same message. I tried removing the app and installing again but nothing seems to work.
Anyone else had this problem and was able to fix it?
PS. Rest of the apps like whatsapp and gmail/youtube work perfectly fine.

Hey I just installed Rebel Rom on my Exhibit II 4g and it all works beautifully... that is until I try to log into Skype. I enter my username and password click login and it brings up the enable video message. I click enable then it brings up the spinning circle, then it freezes and just sits there. I let it go for a real long time and nothing. So I force close it in the manage applications section and give it another go. Now when I put in my username and password it says signing in and just keeps spinning. I would love to know why since I use skype alot. Any ideas?

Yeah I had tried that already, several times. Finally got it working after several tries, and using SD Cleaner, and a few reboots. It was weird but whatever got it working now. Thanks for the help.
