Hi all,
sorry if posted on wrong forum or if its already posted but....
I have searched for similar problems but havent found any that is similar to my problem let alone that has answer. Im a newbie in this so bear with me please. I was dumb to try all that but now I really need help as Im losing my mind with unsuccesful searching...
Ill make a list of what I did in that order on my HTC Desire and what happened:
0. installed htc sync usb drivers (which are present at all time even now in device manager) and then uninstalled sync;
1. I did unrevoked step by step as on instructions;
2. Tried to use custom rom but didnt want to install so I searched and found I had clockwork 2.5.0.7 which I think doesnt work on Desire properly;
3. Went to menu>settings>app>manage apps but couldnt find clockwork mod to uninstall (maybe because I did revoked from windows 7? );
4. downloaded downgrade to 2.1 and went through the proccess which went fine (didnt check phone info if it actually downgraded it);
5. downloaded another unrevoked 3 (which was supposed to have different clockwork version) and it restarted my HTC;
6. now the problem - It rebooted into black screen with phone image and red triangle with "!" mark inside.
I tried every combination of buttons - down volume + power, up volume + power, back + power, down volume + back+ power and home + power but ONLY up volume + power gives ANY result (which is not much)
At volume up + power I get blue "recovery?" screen text and options to reboot, install update.zip, wipe cache and wipe data (something like that). Rebooting just gets me back to black screen, wiping both options goes through but I cant see if it actually works, and installing gives me error which says it is unsigned file. That is all I can do on my HTC now
When I connect usb cable from phone to PC I hear "connecting" sound (also disconnecting sound when I unplug) but when I run RUU it says error 170 (it cant detect my HTC). Also when plugged to PC orange light is not working (like when its charging).
Im panicking atm and dont know what to do...please help me
Thanks in advance,
Zoran
Edit: forgot to write one thing - when I try to power it on from start, and before blue text recovery shows, it says in yellow text E:Can't open /cache/recovery/command
HI;
dont know How your recovery menu look like , but you should find something like : WIPE DATA / FACTORY RESET AND it should work :/ !
I have tried that (yes there is that option) but it doesnt change anything, it still gets stuck. I managed to get my friend (he has same model) and I put my sdcard in and I copied PB99IMG_Bravo_HTC_WWE_1.21.405.2_Radio_32.36.00.28U_4.06.00.02_2_release_126984_signed.zip from this page xttp://shipped-roms.com/index.php?category=android&model=Bravo
I went to the only option I had available (apply update.zip and it said again it cant install it because it says E:signature verification failed....
Im really out of ideas...

I got a used HTC Hero 200 yesterday, and it only took about 1 hour for me to brick it.
I ran "Universal Androot" to get superuser permissions, then I overwrite the files "boot.mp3" and "hero_animation.gif" (I think they were somewhere like /system/media/bootanimation) in a failed attempt to change the boot animation. After resetting, the screen just displays the HTC logo for about 30 seconds then goes blank... so Im guessing my boot animation screwed it up.
When I boot to recovery mode (with the triangle and "!") using PWR + HOME buttons, I can see the option "Wipe data/factory reset [Alt + W]" and I can highlight this option with the trackball, but I CAN NOT click on it. Also, the phone has no keyboard, so I can not press [Alt + W].
When I boot into fastboot (with the skateboarding androids) using PWR + VOLUME DOWN buttons, I plug in USB and the command "fastboot devices" finds my phone (but "adb devices" cant find it).
Is there a way to get this phone working again?
Im new to Android, and Im easily confused. So if anyone can help me through this, Id appreciate it. thanks.
You're more likley to get a better responce in the Hero section however, I'm like 90% sure you will be able to fix, And technically not bricked
But, perhaps an RUU from HTC could help to fix
THANK YOU MAX!!!! that was all I needed. I downloaded the RUU from the phone's old service provider (cellcom) and just executed it as an administrator whilst in fastboot usb mode. everything works great now, and Ive even got a newer version of Android... except it reinstalled that same lousy boot animation...
Anytime dude Glad you got it working again!
hi guys i need ur help. so i was messin with the font of my tf300 with "Font Installer" app, not the first time i was usin it. So as always i needed to restart for the font to apply, but now its stuck at the boot logo. I have tried several things like Power + Volume Down, Wipe Data, Cold Botting but nothin, then i tried Power + Volume Up and i only got a Warning Sign. I have read about somethin named FastBoot, but when i enter the recovery menu i dont get the "USB Icon", and when i connect my tab to the PC, i get problems to install the drivers. My tab is rooted, but i dont have a Backup and i dont have the Bootloader Unlocked, cause the app for that never worked.
Hope someone can help me im goin crazy. Thx c:

Today I was getting random errors on the Cyanogenmod Rom, so I wanted to flash the KitKat+ rom, but reading in the forum, I saw that I need to wipe a lot of things in order to get a good installation. I wiped everyting that I can find, including /system, and then, when I wanted to flash the KitKat+ rom I couldn't find the folder with it, I think it was because I had deleted that folder during my wipes.
So I didin't have any rom installed, nor I had the zips to install a new one, I was able to enter on fastboot(?) (the screen that appears when I press vol down + power), and then, enter to the recovery (CWM), I wasn't able to enable "mount usb storage" on CWM to add another zip files, so I enter in the fastboot (the previous screen) and searched on the internet how to flash a rom, or how to enter in the usb storage.
I needed to leave my house in that moment, and I left the phone in that mode for like 4 hours, it was connected to the PC. When I came back, the phone was off, I couldn't turn it on, and the PC dont detect it, I tried with other cables, with other PCs, charging the phone on the wall for 2 hours, I also tried with pressing the power button for 15s and vol down + power, I can't get any response from the phone, and when I connect it to the PC I don't get any new deviced on the [device manager] screen of windows.
Any Ideas?
*sorry for my bad english*
Hi everyone.
Ok back in August I purchased an Oppo r7plus "m" version not knowing the difference, from a 3rd party seller. I know I probably should've waited until the phone would go on sale in Canada but I wasn't sure if it ever would. So anyways the phone worked great for a while. I noticed that it came pre loaded with OPPO Tools and Super SU. I thought wow, this phone is rooted right of the box? Great! So I started uninstalling some native apps of which I thought were just "bloatware", everything went fine until I uninstalled the weather app.
When I turned the phone back on after restarting, it now goes into the OS but continuosly flashes on and off and you can only access the dropdown notification screen. Luckily from there I can still access the settings menu. I tried holding the power button and volume down button to go to the factory boot screen. That worked and in there its says the color os version, but in brackets says
(rooted).
I can only assume the phone is still rooted but is stuck in some sort of soft brick. I've been doing alot of reading into how I might be able to fix the phone but I'm having trouble figuring it out. I'm good with computers and all but not to this level and I never rooted an android phone before.
Please somebody HELP.
So I've downloaded the ROM for my phone model, r7 plus m, and I transfered the zip file over to the internal storage of the device. I then held down the volume down and power buttons to boot to color os recovery. Than I cleared cache and install from sd found the zip file and it started to run.
After about a minute or two into the installation it stops and reads "Installation Failed". I'm thinking I need a recovery.img file but I'm not sure. Even if I had that file I don't know what to do next.
Anyone have any ideas?

Hi, how did you sort it? Are you still in need of stock recovery? I have one for model F, dont know if it works with M model.
1. Download and extract my RAR files ---> HERE
2. Open your PC device manager
3. Connect an usb cable only to your pc then press and hold the phone volume + button and then connect the usb cable to the phone
3. In the device manager you will see Qhsub_bulk then release the volume+ button
4. Right click on Qhsub_bulk and choose update driver
5. Use one of the driver folders which you alredy extract to install the Qualcomm driver and you will see it like 9008
6. Your phone have to be charged very well for a few hours before you try to flash it.
7. Remove it from the charger then connect an usb cable only to your pc.
8. Try to press and hold the volume + and power buttons at the same time for a few seconds and connect the usb cable to the phone.
9. You have to see the driver in the device manager like 9006 (you can release the buttons) [it wasn't easy for me so keep trying]
10. Open the MSMDownloader and press start
11. If everything is ok you will see a green progress bar flashing. (I was stuck here with the "NON-HLOS.bin" file which you can see in the "Other NON-HLOS File" folder inside the rom which you download)
12. When the process complete in about 10 minutes you can remove the usb cable from your phone.
13. Now you have to do a veeeeeeeery long press and hold on your power button untill you feel the vibration and after that you will see the OPPO logo.
14. Leave it for 5-10 minutes to load the Color OS.
15. Ok you have a working phone but still some apps icons that are missing and the keyboard doesn't appear when you have to write something.
16. Download THIS zipped ROM and put it in the internal storage of your phone.
17. Shut down the phone then press and hold the volume - and the power button at the same time for a while intil you enter into recovery mode.
18. Choose english and then install rom from zip file. After the installation complete reboot the phone and you will get a working keyboard and few more apps like Browser, Chinese market and else....
For me i still need to insert the IMEI's because they are lost... and now i have message: Oppo nv backup. The NV partition is invalid...
Good luck to all! And if you want to give me a beer: paypal: [email protected]
Still stuck
I still can’t detect any qhsub_bulk in device manager. Even I reformat my pc to window 7 64bit it still not detecting. What it detected was only like Android usb.
Oppo r7 plusm suspected soft brick with rooted.
- stuck at oppo logo
- try recovery with stock rom but error * failed to update*
- wipe all but still same failed to update
- try the guild here but can’t detect my device with the tool
Hey guys - I hope you're doing well.
I recently got an HTC U12+, but wanted to try using a custom ROM due to all of the bloatware . Unfortunately I think I've ended up bricking my device. Here are some things I've since tried:
- Restoring to the backup I made beforehand in TWRP - restore works without any errors, but then just hangs at the boot screen
- Method 1 from this thread (https://forum.xda-developers.com/u12-plus/how-to/collection-htcu-u12-ruu-firmware-t3794664) - TWRP always says the zip files are corrupted for some reason
- Method 3 from that same thread - this actually worked before, but I tried installing a custom ROM again, somehow messed up again, and now this method no longer works as it just hangs at the "HTC" boot screen for eternity
- Both methods in this thread (https://www.theandroidsoul.com/how-to-install-htc-firmware-ruu-and-zip/) - the first one leads to a "failed remote 99 ru unknown fail terrible mishap" error, and for some reason my PC doesn't see my phone when I try the second despite being able to see it in file manager
- Probably many other methods that I've now forgotten
I know this is a whole lot of information, but I'm in desperate need of some help. I typically like to troubleshoot things myself, but I've been trying to fix this for quite some time now and could definitely use another set of (much more experienced) eyes. I greatly appreciate any help you guys can provide.
Thanks.
Flash RUU with SD card method
Download RUU from here(important:check your CID): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1wIRrVQawd5rD-t9VKPQ-SdRK20RcJVZhwD7lhmPIK8w/edit#gid=0
1. rename RUU to 2Q55IMG.zip
2. copy zip in the root of your sd card. - external card / not internal - it will not work
3. reboot to download mode,
4. your device will pick up the zip file and flash it.
5.follow on screen instructions and enjoy your RUU(this method erase all your data)
I'm having an issue with my u12+ where it just continually reboots to a message saying "The boot loader is unlocked and the software integrity cannot be guaranteed. Any data stored on the device maybe available to attackers, do not store sensitive data on this device" and then it shows the white HTC logo that says Powered by Android down the bottom of the screen, it stays like that for about 5 minutes and then reboots and does the same thing over again.
Holding the power down button does nothing, it will not turn off the phone. Holding power and volume down does nothing either. The phone just does this every 6 minutes and reboots and cycle and that's it.
I've tried putting the file 2Q55IMG_IMAGINE_DUGL_O80_SENSE10GP_hTC_Asia_TW_1.53.709.1_Radio_sdm845-000201b-1807311356_release_531499_signed_2_4.zip (renamed to 2Q55IMG.zip) on the root of a 8gb Fat32 formatted SD card, but I just can't get into recovery or download mode.
I've tried holding down all 3 side buttons for minutes, or just the power button, or combination of buttons, they all do nothing to the phone. (it's as tho they are disabled, but sometimes holding a combination of the 3 will make the phone vibrate a little bit, but in no particular time or order)
When the phone is in either state (locked bootloader message or white HTC logo) my Windows 10 PC sees the phone plugged in as a "USB Input Device", not an Android Phone or Android Device. So using ADB or Fastboot commands do not work to it. I've tried to force the driver to the HTC driver but that does not work.
I also tried using the RUU_IMAGINE_UHL_O80_SENSE10GP_NA_Gen_Unlock_1.30.617.2.exe file, but once again it doesn't detect my phone.
Any help would be kindly appreciated.
Cheers!
EDIT: So I was finally able to get into download mode by waiting until the phone done its 6 minute reboot and then holding power down until it vibrated once, then held volume up until it vibrated again, then let go of the power button, I was then able to choose recovery, download etc.
So I managed to get the file 2Q55IMG.zip to install, it said it installed 100% okay. The phone rebooted and now I'm stuck again just at the white HTC logo and Power by Android down the bottom of the screen.
This time the phone is not automatically rebooting itself and no key combinations will make it reboot. I've tried holding them all in certain combinations for periods of time, the phone will not reboot or turn off.
EDIT 2: So maybe I didn't wait long enough after installing the 2Q55IMG.zip file, I finally got the phone to reboot and now I've got a working phone again. happy days :laugh:

with the phone off, turn it on,when you feel first vibration
quick release power key and keep push volume down.
Smartphone should boot in bootloader mode.
can you get into this mode with this guide?

Cheer mates, issue sorted. I just updated my comment in my post.
Not sure if I'm game enough again now to try and put LeeDrOiD and Magisk on it.
