Oxygen is an AOSP source built ROM (ie. not a mod of any sense based ROM), it's minimal, it's superfast and mostly bugfree.
As Oxygen is not a mod/port of any HTC/CyanogenMod or any other ROM and may not be to everyones liking, it's minimalistic and basic but I'm open to ideas and suggestions for improving the ROM.

Android development is a hobby for me, the Android community has been good to me and I enjoy what I do, I don't do it for any personal gain or gratification so if you like Oxygen and would like to show appreciation for the time and effort me and other people have put into it then I would very much appreciate it if you could donate to the 'childhood leukaemia' charity I support, you can donate via Paypal or by card/cheque, thanks for taking the time to read this and thanks for donating if you choose to .

To further assist development of the Oxygen ROM - AdamG has now moved to a new official forum. XDA will still see user support for a long time yet, but if you've got more serious issues, have a feature request etc it's recommended to take it up on the new forum.
Likewise, XDA will not be updated with the latest releases (to encourage people to use the new forum) - these releases can be found here
Screenshots! Default home screen, info page, and power widgets are there
ALL NON-DEVELOPMENT QUESTIONS PLEASE POST OVER IN THE OXYGEN FAQ
NOTE - YOU WILL NOT BE ASSISTED UNLESS YOU ARE RUNNING THE LATEST VERSION AND HAVE ATTEMPTED A FULL WIPE
Do I need to do a full wipe? Between major version changes - yes - it's highly recommended. If you're simply upgrading from the previous version then no you don't need to wipe.
What A2SD does this support? Oxygen 2.0 supports "froyo style" apps2sd, it also supports A2SD with an EXT3 or EXT4 partition. By default the dalvik cache is not moved to SD for performance reasons - see here for dalvik2sd script. D2SD/D2W scripts will work - but please take this up in their respective threads if you have questions to ask.
What radio should I use? My personal recommendation is to try your stock radio first. There's no single recommended radio as all hardware versions and carriers are different - what works for one person might be terrible for the next.
Why is there no trackpad wake? It takes hacks - basically It won't be included in the Oxgyen rom, however if you need it another user has created a flashable patch here.
Where did 720P recording go? Google didn't enable it on the N1 update, so given that Oxygen is kept as hack-free as possible it's not here either. Video quality is still great and suits playback on the Desire perfectly. (thanks wlee2)
Do i need to be S-OFF or have Oxygen hboot? No, the rom will work S-ON and with any current hboot layout. However the recommended set-up is S-OFF and Oxygen R2 hboot. Note - this will NOT work with a /system below ~100mb any more - hence "current".
M.
Note - all outdated issues removed, no point trying to support people who can't be bothered updating

Thanks Adam!
Google have clean their code up once again quite a lot and a number of mods need to be rewritten due to this, items broken are listed below,
Long press on volume rocker to change music tracks
Trackball wake/unlock
FM Radio

Hobson's choice : Flash this one or continue with Dev-Null version?
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App

I am currently running [ROM-GINGERBREAD GRI40] DevNull-TEST.
Is this new Oxygen update pretty much the same?
What would i gain from flashing this instead of above?
I am very happy with the rom i am using at the moment but miss the power widgets in the dropdown notification bar, is there an easy way to install this?
Can i update to this without wipe from above rom??

Thank you.
Just a fast question do an upgrade from RC7 require a wipe?
And if yes or no, could you please note that it does/does not require a wipe from the RC7 on the main page.

guys, just nandroid and try it yourself without wipe first. if you dont have time, you wont be in this forum wont ya? so just a few minutes for nandroiding and flashing, or at most restoring wouldnt hurt compared to adam's time for this rom.

After updating to this from RC7, my Google account has disappeared and I can't add it back because there is no "Google account" option in the "Add an account" window.
Because of that, all of my contacts have disappeared and market isn't working.
Wtf? Did anybody have that issue too?

Please read Adam's OP... Is it so hard to select "wipe userdata" in recovery? I don't think so. Try wiping and reflashing first, if it doesn't work after that, then you can post your problem here, but please, DO NOT spam this thread AGAIN

1. Copy the ZIP to the root of your SD Card and then Turn off/unplug your device
2. Turn it on again while holding down the 'volume down' button this time. The screen will look similar to before, but will say 'HBOOT' instead of 'FASTBOOT'.
3. Use the volume buttons and the power button to select the 'RECOVERY' option. You should then see a screen with a red triangle - at this point, plug it into your Linux or OSX computer.
4. From 'push files' zip that you downloaded you'll see a file called 'recovery-linux.sh' or 'recovery-mac.sh'. Run the one appropriate to your operating system and the screen of your device should change to display the green recovery image menu.
5. In the recovery image (moving around using the optical trackball), select 'Wipe -> Wipe data /factory reset'.
6. Then 'Flash zip from sdcard' and choose the "Pympsters_ROM_0-1". Confirm with the trackball and the update process will begin.
When the flash has finished, reboot, and you are DONE, WHOOHOO!

Lite BETA?
Ok this has proved much more difficult to make this than I originally intended! I have yet to find a fix to a FC error on the MMS app. This is very much a BETA release, there will be the occasional FC error. Contact sync with google can often cause an error. Please post the details and any screenshots so I can try and squash these bugs
Oh and in reality its probably more of an ALPHA release. I recommend making a Nand backup before hand, in case you want to flash back quickly
Thanks!

I personally haven't ever needed it. If you do want to add it then you can flash the zip to it. nachtschicht discovered how to make it operate correctly:

I'm using Paul's app2sd ZIP-file that I flashed after your ROM (but I had to manually chmod the scripts in /system/etc/init.d to 755 to make it work).

I was thinking the same thing...
I only started making the ROMs for myself and a friend and wanted to share them with you guys on here. I clearly give credit to Paul at the bottom!
I'm using Paul's ROM as a base because it's a really good start point. I'm working in implementing a few other things to the ROM. You can pay to have some of the things I have added/removed using Paul's online kitchen here.
I am making this ROM primarily for myself and to increase my understanding of the Android platform.

[ROM] ShadowSense 1.4 - SYSRW-OVERLAY|Undervolt|SILVER Icons|RebootMenu|eXpressoBar

Hi everyone!
Here we are again, I decided to release my personal ROM which is stock OTA froyo 2.2, modded to have everything i need in it.
Now also available on ROM Manager.
I'll start off with some screenshots:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I'll list what this ROM consists of.
Base
Stock HTC OTA froyo 2.2
-Perflock disabled
-EXT4 / TUN / FUSE added
-NoFullSleep Wifi module. No 802.11n because of power drains.
-Legacy A2SD+, modified / Dalvik
-CPUFreq interactive/powersave switching, thanks to FloHimself.
-Undervolt for about 75-100mV for extreme powersaving! Thanks to iscaela.
-System partition overlay on /data/sysrw . I will be switching to AUFS2 when
this comes available (or when S-OFF is released publically )
This should allow you to use MetaMorph.
I will probably also release a custom recovery which you can use to either commit or revert changes to the /system overlay, based on ClockWorkMod recovery.
-This has the vanilla Froyo lockscreen. No stupid HTC lockscreen.
-Trackball push to wakeup.
-Disabled vibration from shutdown
-Reboot menu by snq- (allow to reboot normally, to recovery, or bootloader)
-Fixed NewsReader.apk from FC'ing when fast scrolling in feeds with pictures.
Removed:
All social networking apps, teeter, stocks, etc.
Added:
-Titanium Backup
-ROM Manager
-Launcher2
-Extra ported HTC widgets by Paul from Modaco.
The theming was done by re-doing all the battery mods, and framework mods floating around, and REBUILDING the apk's from the ground up. I found that many of the mods consist of half-assed reworked apks. This is CLEAN.
Mind you, the images are done by the authors of these mods, I can't remember which they are, so I will give credit where due.
I will be updating to later OTA releases as they come by, and IF (or when) HTC's kernel source is released, I will do OCUV kernels and such.
On to the download:
ShadowSense 1.4
-If you got ShadowSense <1.4 and want to patch up:
Patch from any release to 1.3.
-If you want to use the POWER button to wake from unlock:
POWER unlock.
-If you want to use the MENU button to wake from unlock:
MENU unlock.
Changelog
[*]1.4 NewsReader fix
[*]1.3 Reboot menu
[*]1.2 Undervolting
[*]1.1 Initial (public) release
[*]1.0 Internal testing
---
DONATE here. This will support both my ROM development, as well as hacking efforts for S-OFF.
This looks very nice! Ill flash it tomorrow..... I dont suppose there's any chance of getting an option for the vanilla lockscreen? That will be the only thing ill miss from pinky desire?

rebuilding all apk in /system is not good idea. if some app have upgrade version in market, users can not upgrade it with this ROM.
and HTC offical widgets on internet can not be installed in this ROM.
so, some core app need be resign(framework-res.apk, DefaultContainerService.apk, Phone.apk, ... and so on), and other apps can not be resign(Rosie.apk, HTC_IME, ..., and so on).
but this is a Great ROM!
waiting for your the greatest S-OFF releaes, too !

I saw your HBOOT is 0.83 so it is SLCD

I didn't rebuild all of the apk's. I did rebuild the APK's that were modded, like the framework apk's. Those will never be upgraded in the Market.

That means that /system is writable because of an overlay filesystem. All your changes to /system will get written to /data/sysrw. Those will disappear when you wipe. An example would be, using metamorph to apply themes or such.
Also, 1.3 is up for the reboot menu, added to the normal powermenu in Sense.
Flashed 1.2 yesterday.
Looks great, but you know what....
I just keep pushing the powerbutton to unlock

That's the bootlogo. It's the dexing process that probably takes a while. Wait for it. If it doesn't go away after a long time, please provide me with an 'adb logcat' output (put it on pastie.org for example).

Upgrading
No wipe is explicitly required in order to use this ROM, however if you do encounter issues of any kind, it is recommended that you wipe your device and reproduce the issue before raising it here.
Downloads
This ROM is now available in the free online kitchen at MoDaCo. In addition to the kitchen, a prebaked download is available.
Gr5 (default kitchen options, no MoDaCo additions) - DOWNLOAD
Radio 12.62.60.27U_26.13.04.19_M (extract from zip and flash via 'fastboot') - DOWNLOAD
Please note that the download links implement referring checking to avoid deep-linking. If you are redirected to the MoDaCo homepage when you download, try 'right click save as', disabling ad blocking / no script or if all else fails try an alternative browser.
Unedited RUU
If you would like to base a ROM on 3.06.405.1, I have put the stock RUU online for you. I do NOT recommend flashing this in it's entirety, it should be used only for development purposes! DOWNLOAD
Thanks
It's impossible to mention everyone who contributes to the Android community by name, but to everyone out there who does great work and shares it with us all - you have my gratitude and respect.
Future Updates - READ THIS!
By providing this ROM I am not implying in any way that future updates will follow. Due to limits on my time and the fact that I have a large number of devices for short periods of time, it isn't possible for me to continue providing ROM updates indefinitely. Please do not donate / sign up on the assumption that future releases will be available (I don't want you to be disappointed!).
I no longer have access to a Desire HD, so this ROM is no longer being updated.
The download and kitchens will continue to be available should anyone wish to use anything from the ROM - feel free to contact me via PM with any questions.
And finally...
Details on how to donate should you wish to do so are in download topic at MoDaCo.
Enjoy!

In the future, when updates are released, you can just flash without wiping hence keeping all your data. This is the case unless there are major deviations from the original base ROM. That said, if you don't mind losing data, I'd always recommend a wipe.
Regarding the ROM, I can't wait to try this tonight (3D Gallery, Lockscreen )....... Why do I have to work, why do I have to eat and why oh why do I have to sleep??
Will report back any issues etc.
Thankyou once again for all the hard work.

Oh thank you very much can't wait to test it.

if you did uncheck the defaults at Applications/software, HTC Sense, then when you press Home button, you dont get a question which launcher to start?

MIUI_Au Changelog (Since 2.3.2):
Official Changelog here
Updated to Sandvold 0.4.4.4.1 (fixes camera preview, multitouch)
Upgraded lockscreen, MIUI Gallery and alarm clock, reorganised Settings menu
NOT WORKING
Camera can be unstable
FM Radio not included
Contact numbers sometimes not matched properly
USB Tethering
Probably more
REQUIREMENTS
Requires an ext3/4 partition to be the second partition on your SD Card.
Will install on any HBOOT, and symlink system folders to /data if necessary
Only stock HBOOT, Data++ and Sense can perform data wipe without rom reinstallation, due to system files needing to be moved for other HBOOT's.
INSTALLATION
If you restore apps or data using Titanium or MIUI Backup, there may be problems due to changes from GB to ICS. If you do have any, restore apps one by one to find the culprit.
Make sure you have an ext3/4 partition setup as the second partition on your sd card, otherwise you will have very little memory to use as data2ext won’t work.
Please understand this is a very beta version, so expect errors.
There is no FM radio, so please don’t bother complaining.
Any errors, feel free to post but do not demand a solution.
Flash at your own risk.
If you experience any serious problems, we recommend you do a full wipe/factory reset then flash again.
SUPPORT INSTRUCTIONS
I will NOT be responding to any more posts about problems unless you can prove/state the following:
You have NOT restored any apps from a backup from a GB rom.
You have tried a full wipe/factory reset.
You have used google to try to find the answer yourself.
You have read the comments to see if the problem is already reported.
You have read the entire post and followed the instructions provided.
If the problem is related to apps FC’ing, you provide a logcat of the FATAL EXCEPTION.
If the problem is low memory, post the output of “df” and “mount” commands in terminal.
Do NOT ask for features/apps from MIUI GB to be included. They are when they are.
Any other reports, unless I deem them to be reasonable, will be ignored. Take no offence, but if I don’t answer (and trust me I’m very good at answering the questions promptly unless I’m asleep) it means you haven’t done the above, so read properly and try again.
Do NOT ask about any device other than the HTC Desire GSM.
Completely unofficial port. For more information and downloads, proceed to MIUI_Au.
Awesome, will be giving this a go!
Been using from first release and I love it!
Lennox is doing a great job!
Am I weird, where's the menu to setup WiFi?
Well looks good, but going back to Gingerbread since this is still Beta.
Good luck!
Never noticed that. Long press on wifi icon in notifications works as always.
Edit: Its under Wireless Networks > More... > Tethering and portable hotspots
Haven't fixed all the translations yet, been more worried about getting everything working.

Check the "Control" app.
The big question is...
Does this have FULL HWA, dont see it listed?
Making a backup now then I'll flash, can I restore the apps I backup on a 2.3.x using MIUI Backup in this release?
Guess I'll find out

You don't have the Superuser app any more, if that's what you mean. Superuser and app permissions can be found in the "Security" app now.
Seems to work great so far, but my battery life's not so great any more. Anyone else having that issue?
EDIT: Maybe this will help me: http://www.miui-au.com/howtos/reset-battery-indicator/
absoluty AWESOME, only we can wait to a full HW acceleration and video recording, after that this ROM will be the best to Desire
Anyone tried with CM7r2 HBOOT?
Quick questions:
1. Is theme support implemented?
2. What's the bubble style in Messaging? Is it ICS style "full-wide bubble" with photo, or standart MIUI?

Does it have german language?

I'm pretty sure where I listed the same hardware acceleration hack as any other ICS rom is being included, that explains that it's not full HWA.

I'm pleased to present my MoDaCo Custom Jelly Bean ROM for the 3G Nexus 7! READ THIS WHOLE POST BEFORE YOU START! No, really, it contains everything you need to know.
About MoDaCo Custom ROMs
MoDaCo Custom ROMs are based on official ROMs. A MCR release is designed to feel like a stock ROM with optimisations, tweaks and complimentary additions that enhance the user experience. The aim of a MCR is to be ultra reliable for use on an everyday device.
Requirements
In order to use this ROM you must have a custom recovery installed. The ROM is installed at your own risk. A wipe IS recommended if coming from a ROM other than MCR or stock. BACK UP YOUR DEVICE BEFORE INSTALLATION!
MCR Nexus ROM features Include... (many optional via the Online Kitchen) - check kitchen defaults for what is in the prebake:
Based on the 4.2.2 / JDQ39 release, updated, rebuilt, compressed and optimised with the MCR build system.
For this MCR we've used the latest available shipping ROM, updated with all the latest versions of the installed apps, which we've run through our scripts to ensure that it is as optimised as possible both for install / download size and real life performance.

De-odexed... re-odexable.
Our ROMs are de-odedex, giving you the ability to flash other mods over the top, tweak the system and generally get the system set up as you want it without worrying about odex issues. We also include the 'OdexMe' application, which lets you odex your system when you're ready, saving valuable space on your data partition.

Pre-rooted
All MCR ROMs are pre-rooted with SuperSU preinstalled. In addition, the kitchen allows you to choose between secure, insecure and secure with patched ADB boot images.

Enhanced Quick Settings
The quick settings in Android 4.2 are cool, but limited. MCR builds include a customised version of the excellent 'Quick Settings' mod by kevdlui, allowing you to customise your toggles by holding the Settings button down. The WiFi and Bluetooth buttons are also changed to toggles - long press to access the settings menus.

Apps aren't disabled on boot
Jelly Bean added a feature to disable apps on boot that aren't intended for your region (Wallet, Ears, Magazines etc.). I think we're smart enough to make that decision ourselves right? So that doesn't happen in a MCR.

Isn't it frustrating how Google removed the ability in the Play Store to see which apps you'd bought in a nice simple list? I thought so... so I created 'Legacy Play Store', which has this feature.

Google might be ditching the stock browser for Chrome and Adobe might have canned Flash, but we still need to use it sometimes... so it's included in a MCR.

MCR Nexus 7 ROM specific features Include... (many optional via the Online Kitchen) - check kitchen defaults for what is in the prebake:
Alternative UI options (clickable when hidden menu keys with alternate locations, search button)
A number of different UI options are included - the default option makes the legacy menu button available on both sides of the screen for easy reach and also keeps them active when invisible, handy if there's a pesky menu button at the top right that you can't quite get too! You can also bring back the good old search button. In stock Android the navigation bar always stays at the bottom - in the kitchen you can choose to have this move to the right. Finally, percentage battery meters are also included in stock style and round style.

This looks good, i will probably give it a whirl. when it says 'sms enabled', how does that work? i have the prepaid AT&T data plan in the States with the included SIM, which does sort of come with a phone number, but is intended for reference purposes.
thanks, and downloading now i love that the stock JB browser is included!

The ROM is installed at your own risk. The ROM should be installed using ClockworkMod. A wipe IS required if coming from another ROM or a pre-Ir11 release. BACK UP YOUR DEVICE BEFORE INSTALLATION!
