Finally got the right Flash installed. I have an e-scription to my local newspaper, which shows in flash over the browser. The page comes up and I hit the download arrow. I can view the first 2 or 3 pages then it won't load the rest of the paper. Anyone else have this issue, or know of a fix?

My 1st post...need help, please.
I got my Transformer yesterday...everything's great except Flash Player 10.3 won't install. Yet no problems with other apps I've done.
I done it about 10-15 times through android.market and just end up with the message 'this app will be downloaded to your device shortly'...only it's been going on over 12 hours and it hasn't.
Tried it through default brower (app store directly)& DolphinHD...I can see it download, but it won't install.
I think on the 1st download I got disconnected from the server, but retried a lot of times since.
Any suggestions? Thanks!
PS Just tried something I found where Facebook app took a long time to install.
I hit the upper right 'app', saw the download appear and installed from there-that worked for this one and a couple others...but, not for Adobe Flash-tried it numerous times. Still looking for a solution, since this is why I wanted the transformer(s)
Find the thread named "flash 10.3 modded for hulu" or something like that and download the apk from there, then sideload it. From reading your post it seems u were trying to install flash from the web market and not the market app on the phone? If you haven't perhaps try that. Sometimes even on the market app some apps might take a few tries to install.

i've had issues with the market where it will say it is downloading something, but never starts.
easy fix, back out, then go back to the app you want to install and click install again. this solution has worked for me the handful of times I have needed it.
Thank You both for the help! Boy, this shows me being a newbie
I got it and I don't know how long I had it after trying 30-40 times. When I go into settings/applications/Manage applications...it was sitting there!
But, when I look at My Apps it was still sitting there to install and never gave me a message that I already had it. And when I looked at app icons it didn't show up...since learned it's not an application, but a plug in-so I was looking for it in the wrong place.
Lacrossev, Thanks, I did find that thread. Got as far as manually downloading it to my computer, plugged my TF into the computer which it saw....then I got totally lost on what to do. Now I'll search for more info on 'sideloading' in case I need it in the future.
In the end I spent 4-5 hours fighting this and had the fool thing-wow!
Thank you again Elgenja and Lacrossev for taking the time to write! Just yesterday I was going to send it back, now I really like it and not having any other problems...really pleased and learning.
Unless watching Hulu is a must for you right this moment, I wouldn't bother with the modded flash package just yet. It's still a work in progress, the current version bugs out if your browser is ever closed, and requires you to uninstall then reinstall flash to get working again. The install process for it is also a tiny bit gimmicky at the moment. If you just want flash working for everything else, just stick with what you have and enjoy hulu when the modded package works more easily and is more stable. That said, I follow those directions there everyday when I watch hulu on the TF, it works.

I had flash already, but when I upgraded to 10.3, it kept on saying done, but still shows that it's not installed and the "update" button was still available. No matter how many times I press update, it didn't install. But after rebooting it did. Try that.
Had the same problem updating Flash with mine. Had to go into settings and Manage Applications and uninstall the Flash that was already there. Then killed Market app using Advanced Task Killer. Opened Market again and it installed fine.
First off I have searched here and every other forum without a solution. They all seem to think this revolves around Flash, BUT I removed Flash off my Bionic and it still displays the pictures.
When surfing forums, if a user has the site host a picture, I receive a blue box with a white question mark inside it. If I click the question mark, what should be an enlarged picture is just a black box and the picture never loads, even if I wait 20 minutes.
My Xoom is stock (maybe that is the problem hehe)
I have tried the stock browser, Dolphin and Skyfire with the same results
Removed flash (11.1) and reinstalled it, no change
Factory reset, reloaded flash, no change
This happens on 3g and wifi
Popup blocker on or off makes no difference
Right now I have no other software but what is there from a factory reset and flash and still the same issue, blue box.
My Bionic and the Wife's Incredible both run Skyfire and display the pictures no problem, I mimicked those settings on my xoom still get the blue box.
I have included a screen shot of the Xoom but can't post a link for the example. It is not just one forum it is all forums.
Ok, I screwed up and put this in the X forum instead of the Xoom forum....if someone would be so kind to move it
So moved.
Surely I can't be the only one having this problem....
So in trying to figure out what is going on I unlocked the xoom and flashed a fresh stock image...still the same freaking problem.
I am ready to throw it out the window.

Usually it means that the image/file is in a format your browser or plugins cannot read. Check you Google Browser settings, reset it back 2 default (if you can). Are you running an ad-blocker app by any chance? What Stock version are you running ICS?
When the html version of Google shows the question marks instead of all of the images, You can request "Desktop Site" (In the browser settings menu) and the images should display fine.

Browser is set to default settings and no ad-blocker.
I have looked at the site in desktop and droid settings only to have the same thing. My Bionic displays the images just fine.
I am really beginning to believe there is something corrupt with my Xoom.

that is just weird. Maybe your Browser.apk is corrupt. Can you view images in your Gmail? Since your bootloader is unlocked, go ahead and root your device install a dif ROM and see what happens. You can always go back to stock if need be to send your device in for repair. Sorry I could not be of much assistance.

I can view pictures in Gmail and other mail no problem, this is the only problem I have...well that and the pptp VPN not working.
Just installed EOS 1.0.0...no change still cannot view the pictures from the OP
Please bear with me...I'm rather baffled by this, and it's kind of hard to explain.
My school uses a course manager called BlackBag, similar to Moodle. When I start my Galaxy Note 10.1 and click on any link to download files on BlackBag, the tablet will say it's downloading "<index> https://blackbag..." off the website indefinitely. File type does not make a difference. If I first go to a different website and successfully download any file, all the download links on BlackBag will function normally, and will continue to do so until I restart the tablet. After getting BlackBag download links to work, I can completely wipe cache and data from the browser, and downloading still works fine. It is only when I turn the tablet off and on again that I get that annoying <index> thing again.
Things to note:
*This problem has happened using the native browser, Dolphin HD, and Chrome
*I have 2 copies of the Note 10.1 on hand, and the problem is reproducible in both
I can manage the problem with my workaround, but it is a nuisance. Any ideas why the tablet is doing this? Since this happens on multiple browsers, it seems to be some system issue with the tablet itself. Like I said before..baffled >_<
Any insight would be lovely.
Hey all,
If I've posted this in the incorrect place or it's been previously covered allow me to apologize in advance. I've done extensive searching and am out of ideas.I have seen many topics on flash, but nothing out there seems to address this issue. If there is a fix for this already posted I would really appreciate a link.
Here's the situation:
I have a stock Galaxy Tab 7 running the stock JB configuration. It is not rooted.
I side loaded the latest Android 4.0 version of Adobe Flash and have uninstalled and reinstalled several times .11.1.115.54
I'm running the Boat browser with flash enabled and in desktop mode.
On any flash dependent site such Comedy Central, NBC or whatever requiring flash, the player loads. It indicates "Loading" then "Connecting" then blank black screen where the flash content should be playing. The devices are streaming as I can see the data transfer with monitor running at 8 to 9 Mb/s. Waiting does nothing.
Any and all help is hugely appreciated in advance.
Use firefox or stock browser, dont insstall flash in system folder. Runflash settings icon too see if itloads

Since I haven't seen any kind of TUT like this and since I don't know which forum is suitable for this thread, because there isn't a general Huawei forum, I've decided to write it here.
We all know that huaweidevices(dot)ru is one of the biggest archives of Huawei stock ROMs, for almost all devices. But, in order to download them, many unexperienced users (like myself) have downloaded ROMs from there using their adware-filled downloader, that resulted in infecting our machines. Last night, I found a solution to download the .rar-ed ROMs directly, without any download manager, just by using your browser, and it's no big deal - quite simple.
First of all, you need to locate your device's page, using the search bar:

Then, slam down ctrl+shift+c on your keyboard to enter the Inspect element menu (I've been using Opera for the tut, it's the same shortcut for Chrome also, I don't know is it like that for other browsers):

Now hit ctrl+f and enter .rar in the search bar of inspect element diagram window, then use the up/down arrows to find the desired ROM's link (it ends with .rar), right click on it, go to open link in new tab, and PROFIT.
