I tried to switch my rooted and rom'ed phone to the att froyo and my phone hung. I can get into download mode, but odin doesnt recognize my phone. I can only get odin to find my phone when it is the reboot screen. I have tried I have tried to use one click from AIO but when I am in download it tells me usb debugging is off and at this point I cant get to any ui to switch it on. Anyone have any idea how to switch it on?
dl mode does not require usb debugging.
Couple things
Have you used odin before?
Have you tried multiple ports?
Can you get into recovery?
Do you have a rom zip on your sd?

So in attempt to find my way to cyanogenmod 7 today i managed to brick my phone using odin3 one click. i was able to get my phone back into download mode after reading a few tips. so my new problem is my computer saying "usb device not recogniced. one of the usb devices on this computer has malfunctioned'. i've tried reinstalling the samsung drivers for my captivate and that doesnt seem to fix the problem. Any ideas? And if i can get odin to recognize my phone, should i master clear everything before trying to flash it back to stock?
Re-install the drivers and try again. Be sure to have the ODIN 1 Click open before connecting your phone in download mode.
also try different USB ports. wouldn't be the first time a port caused a connection problem.
i have oden the unbrick zip the drivers can get into download but oden can't recognize my phone but my computer can when rebooting it frezzes at the samsung screen and when chartging it frezzes at a gray battery with a loading sign not moving
Go to the Infuse forums, we don't know as much.
Find a way to force it into download mode, try another USB port.

I have been trying to flash a new ROM on my Infuse for a few weeks now. I've spent hours on end trying and failing. Bricked it a few times but I managed to get out of it. After going back to stock firmware (2.3.6) my phone won't go into the debugging mode. I'll plug it in and it just says USB connected. I also put the phone into download mode and Odin didn't pick it up.
I've tried several different cables, computers, etc. All drivers are up to date as well. Samsung Kies won't recognize the phone either. This is getting really frustrating!
Anyone have any solutions here?
Are you rooted? If yes, flash from phone.
Try rebooting your PC then try your different cords and USB ports.

What the heck could cause it to see the phone in one mode but not the other two? I've tried removing all Samsung drivers, and Kies, and installing rebooting, and installing just the regular USB drivers. Same problem.. never had a problem with Odin before.. not sure what to make of this.
I have this s8 Plus smg950u stuck on the Samsung logo, I cant boot into recovery mode and it doesn't shut off. I can boot to download mode but odin doesn't recognize it, I've tried different cords and all but still the same issue. if I connect another s8+ in download mode odin recognize it just fine. Is there any way to fix this phone if my computer wont recognize it at all?

I've tried that but computer doesn't detect it, if I check on device manager it looks like nothing was plugged in. I have 2 computers running windows 10 and non of them is able to recognize my phone.
Any suggestions?
