What is [email protected]@r00?
Yes I know it is a strange marsupial native to Australasia, but it is also a ROM for the Desire HD! Inspired by djmcnz's Nexus One ROM, Kang-O-Rama, [email protected]@r00 aims to provide an enhanced all in one experience for your Desire HD. Over the past few months I've seen so many users complain that their CM7 experience is hampered due to a reliance on the Sense widgets or dialler etc. I created a thread with replacement app suggestions and this ROM is a logical progression, providing all of these mods and apps in one easy package. Inside you will find a CM7 base with numerous additions all intended to provide a more enjoyable experience for the end user. I've spent hours testing apps and building the ROM from source, so rest assured that the final product is of a high quality.

Based on the latest CM7 source, compiled by myself.
Android 2.3.4 GRJ22
Zipaligned for increased speed and lower RAM usage.
Fully Deodexed
Uses Lord Clockan's 2.6.35.13 HD Kernel which will blow your mind in terms of speed and battery life.

Full Wipe is Required before flashing! (CM7 Users theoretically can flash over their current install but I haven't tested and cannot promise stability. I would suggest formatting system and wiping both caches just to be safe. Your apps will remain intact.)

My own build which was synced yesterday afternoon. Last commit was the bump to GRJ22 (Same as Nightly 61). I may sync and build again tonight. The aim is to keep the ROM as up to date as possible, unless there are some major bugs present in the CM source (highly unlikely).

I want to include the HD version but not until the AIC3254 gets fixed. It is an amazing kernel though so if you don't use SRS etc. then just flash it over this ROM.

It's already in there! Personally I use Camera360 (Paid) but you're right, the MIUI Camera is much better than the stock Android interface and includes touch to focus so is in there from the start.
What launcher are people wanting mainly? I'm including Claystone in the next release.

I've seen Oxygen before, it's a great ROM for Desire, very similar to Leo's ROM on N1. While this Kang may not be "new and unique", I hope at least it will be useful for some.

Known Bug:
- Never Ending Sync (solution at the bottom of this post).
What you need?
You MUST have:
- Root;
- Clockworkmod 3 or newer (you can try to use other recoveries, i don't know);
- EXT3/4 partition with at least 512mb;
- Stock MTD (workin' on Data++), so no CM7r2 etc.
You also have to Full Wipe + Dalvik Cache Wipe.

HOW TO SOLVE NEVER ENDING SYNC (thanks asp2010):
Go to Accounts & Sync in settings and uncheck "Sync contacts" under Facebook for HTC Sense. Then, go to Manage Applications and force close the same app.

Philosophy:
I've modded this rom, in my opinion, in an intelligent way. For example, if you wanna use a ROM without using a market account, you can install nothing, 'cause you can't use the market and you don't have a file manager to browse SD. So, for example, i added a file manager. Meanwhile, why leaving youtube app if you, for example, don't have a data plan? I removed it, and you can easely get it from the market.
Or, why leaving a Calculator widget? No one i know ever used the calculator widget.
I left only what you're really going to use. It's fast, clean, powerful.

Been using this rom nearly 3 weeks now. Not a single problem with it, it goes like a dream. Occasionally get the urge to try a different one but cannot find one that is worth the place of this one and that's coming from someone who changes roms every couple of days it so. Well done for a first class rom.

This is HTC Desire Stock Sense. Absolutely no lag, fast as an Aosp ROM.

I should mention for the GPS all Inspire users should:
1. Go to Settings>Personal>GPS configuration
2. Change the value of 'NTP server address' to: us.pool.ntp.org

Rock solid daily driver
This is the most rock solid custom ROM that i have ever used. Whether you are an iPhone convert or just like to have the most features with as little "bulk" as possible this is it.
I've used every single custom ROM for Inspire and this has finally made me want to keep this phone for the long haul.

Why? Is something incorrect? I used my gps earlier without doing that and it still worked great. This Rom is sweet, theme is nifty.

I find the us.pool to be more accurate (down to 2m accuracy) as opposed to 20m with the previous server. Snake oil? Possibly

Yep, no sound either. Can someone post the link to the 8.2 kernnel? I am on the road and unable to really search for it. I thought I had it saved. I do believe we used the beta 8.6 on the last version that Mr. Garek put together. The last version worked great for me.

Sound is working fine for me, I did a full wipe/clean/dalvik ALL and install this version and works fine. for now.

Correction, my sound is working great. Stupid me had the volume down

First boot will take a while to load, Please remember this is a WIP and is not 100% fully functional and any help will be appreciated.

Setupwizard is messed up, just click right below in the screen a couple of times where the next button is located and you will be fine and set phone up via settings
If Rom is very buggy, go to settings / Development and turn of Animation /transition - this fixed it for me and now Phone is fast

THESE INSTRUCTIONS WILL PROVIDE BEST INSTALL AND A FASTER SMOOTHER ROM.........
1. Download super user fix as mine wouldn't update. Here https://rapidshare.com/files/3452039741/root-fix.zip
2. Download and install JDR0iD SeNSuS 4.0.
3. Reboot to fastboot and install firmware (if coming from GB or old firmware (3.32 required)
4.reboot, keep tapping where the next button would be during setup (right of the lockring) setup is buggy on all Roms, set up phone manually once booted.
5. After about 10 mins to stabilise, download one of Sebastian kernels to what ever suits you herehttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424345 (Fixes camera glitches)
6. After kernel flash, go to advance menu and fix permissions twice
7. REBOOT AND ENJOY

After first boot, reboot recovery install Su patch above then flash your chosen OC kernel and fix permissions twice. This will greatly improve speed and stability.

I havent changed nothing to be honest, I will in releases going forward, all i have done is in the op, updated twitter/facebook and added faceunlock

damn.. i just installed yours and still have failed to gain root access. I cannot restore backuped apps

those features are probably broken as of now. and the ville ruu is not a leak, it's a developer's preview. although there's "release-keys" in the build.prop, but it's still watermarked. that's the weird part of it..

We here at TeamMixMiui like to customize our Rom but we want to give everybody the possibility to choose which Apps they want to have installed and which ones they don't.
Soon we will be releasing a slimmer Rom with less preinstalled Apps.
There is no need for you to have a Facebook App preinstalled that you remove cause you don't have a Facebook Account.

Edit: don't think ibotpeaches has a version of the mix-mash. Looking at his downloads they're all JB version Miui.

Yeh the camera works really well too, it feels lightweight with the beastmode kernel and has some of the sense features people love.....brilliant Idea!!!
