Okay so I know everyone is having issues with the long messages being sent with ports. In theory this is a sense rom or sense based. Could we take the mms.apk from say Warm twopointtwo and replace the warm z mms.apk? Wouldn't that fix the issue?

if I can't get that, I'm going to try the apk from the stock thunderbolt rom
You could also try the one incredible s its sense 2.0 and its from a cdma Rom

I searched the forums and didn't see anything, is anybody releasing a vanilla theme just for stock, not PMF, i can't stand the Facebook syncing troubles I'm having with PMF and i would just rather have stock that works with a vanilla theme.
yetirom is a stock 2.1 rom that is good. then there is cm 5.0.8

Well I see all these roms out for the leaked 2.3.3 and then I see CM7. I've never used CM7, so I'm.not aware of the differences. Could someone shed some light for me and possibly direct me towards me

The leaked 2.3 Roms have sense 2.1.
CM7 is built from source to be like vanilla android, but there are more options.
I've tried a few of the GB/Sense rom's and I've been on CM7 since nightly 17, now on RC3.
Its more of a matter of appearance, I've tried a lot of them and I prefer CM7 builds, but I use Sense sometimes, as well as MIUI, which also has a 2.3 build.
Its a brilliant community and the developers for the desire HD/inspire have turned out some amazing quality rom's.

Well question is what's the difference between sense 2.0 and 2.1? I just want opinions and what everyone seems to prefer. I'm looking for a nice look with good download / upload speeds.

The differences between sense 2.0 and 2.1 aren't that big, but there is a settings tab in the notification pull down and a tweaked app drawer that has favorite and downloaded app tabs.
That's really it aesthetically, but under the hood its made to work with android 2.3.
They are all test builds though, you could try an optimized stock rom with sense 2.0 and froyo?
There are a lot of options now and more to come.

no up to this point there is not
I think its because TBolt runs sense 2.0 and we have don't have it yet. Try flashing Incubus sense 2.0 rom, it might be installed with the ROM. I tried getting the TBlot music player ported and it was a no go because of sense 2.0 The Evo cam works well with the Inc just in case ur interested, you can get it in Rom Manager, under Virtuous/extra goodies
I may be weird, but I really dislike the new 3d animations and static wallpaper on sense 3.0. I really loved the virtuous rom though,...

I'd recommend ClearDroid. Version 1.1.21 was nearly perfect. I only switched to VU for my NetFlix.

I hear good things about Inspired Ace.
I was in the same boat; I tried VU and loved the sense 3.0 weather and lockscreen, but didn't particularly like the 3d animation between screens. I installed Android Revolution (sense 2.1) instead, and just chose the sense 3.0 components that I wanted, and just installed those as mods.

I have my eye on it, for now I flashed Lee Droid with 3.0 lockscreen and weather. I'm happy.
Thanks for all the suggestions... I hope that the future of our community isn't sense 3.0... It just doesn't feel right to me. The animations are kind of cheesy and get in the way of basic functionality.

I remember on the speedy when they started using Sense 3.5 it was before m10 was updated to vts to theme sense 3.5 what we would do was open an already themed Sense 3.0 fusion.apk and take It's shared.m10 file and place it into a Sense 3.5 skin.apk to theme as much as possible. Now I'm not saying this is a bulletproof method to doing so. But the idea is maybe the same thing can be done here to attempt porting a skin.
This might be something I try this Sunday when I have time to play to see about porting hawks mikmik skin over to MikXE. There are no promises it will work but It's an idea
