You can play with the build.prop file under /system and change the density of the screen

Check the vibrant section, there are many different types of flip font apk to download giving you more options for fonts

Yet another way would be...
...there is a free program on the market called Nitrality and it can be used to change the dpi [screen res] phone wide. This would do what you want, but I'm not sure you're wanna change your screen res...also, you need to have root...good luck!...

How do you get the stock font back on humble?

I can't seem to find the instructions.

Did you try Home > Menu button > Settings > Display Settings > Font? That's where you would typically change your font back to default but Humble may have overridden the stock font. I never checked when I was on that ROM, sorry.
Open font changer. Go to menu. Press defaults. Your good to go. Love humble, but the mew font makes my old eyes hurt.

Resolution script

Is there a way i can script my phone to have 1200x720 resolution only when i open browser, then going back to default 800x480 on desktop?
I have used apps like lcd density/resolution to change it before but i have to manually set it every time which sucks.

Nope, changes to the build.prop require a system reboot to take effect.
You can't just make your phone more hd it doesn't work like that

Tried looking for it again but can't remember how I found that thread, got about 100 fonts from there, some too small, but can change using app called "Big Font" (free from market and does not need root)... sorry...
What are the most convenient methods of getting and changing fonts guys? I've tried some apps but the did't work...
Hi,
Try "Font Installer" you can get it on the market.
The program have black folder icon with a big green A on it.
This app is free you must have a root.
I use this app and works very fine for me.
If you have installed GoLauncher, you can change the font from there.
Helvetica Neue. The best. Period.

Don't forget to make a backup of the current font before changing it. The app has an option for making a backup.
Frontier font ftw... its startrekulous...

how about a suggestion guys:
each one of us that recommends a font also attaches a screenshot of, say, the settings screen where the font can be clearly seen. That way we can all appreciate the font. Also, if you have the font available attach it is well.
(think we're allowed to do it)
I'll go first.
Comfortaa regular (all credits go to the creator of the font of course)
Font is attached.

Same, best of !!!!
I'm not usually one of handwriting fonts but found this http://unjamie.deviantart.com/art/Cynthia-Handwriting-1-070-123433824 the other day and was impressed by both the wide range of glyphs but also that it is readable in small sizes.
The easiest way to change fonts is to use the built-in font changer (display settings).
Just download a font from this thread, and install the APK! Now go to the display settings and set the font! If you want to uninstall the font, go to applications settings and uninstall it like you usually do

Alternative to changing LCD density.

I usually always change the density because of the font being too huge by default, but I recently found an app called Big Font in the market.
Try it out. It's awesome and no longer do I have to keep changing the LCD back just to download certain apps from the market.
Just thought I'd share with people .

As do I but I hate when I would have to change density to download apps in the market.
This is a very viable substitute for me that I'll probably always use from now on.
It also has a feature to exclude certain apps from having their font changed which is very useful.
I just edit my build.prop and than replace the default market with the modified market with the default dpi hardcoded into it. The market will think the screen size is default no matter what size you change it to. I just use root explorer.

spare parts has been changing fonts for years and is usually included in all roms. you also don't need to change density to download apps from market, just need modified market app.

With spare parts it's only the menu that changes, or it temporarily changes the system just for that reboot.

Page transitions for AOKP ROMS...

Hi everyone,
I am using AOKP ROM build 40 and I want to change page transitions or app opening transitions....
Please can anyone help me with this....I had seen some really cool transition animations like the dialog box popping from the bottom in one of my friends SG ACE ROM....
Thanks

I just use GO Launcher as my default launcher and use the animations/transitions from there. So many to choose from and for different scenarios too.
Personally, I set all my "effects" to Random. That way every time I switch home screens or enter the app drawer, it's different!

I am asking for animations which are for built in things...like the dialog box for everything or any app opening....I figured out that it can be done by editing anim folder in Res folder of framework.apk....but still I need someone to give me some some animations which are in XML format so that I can edit the apk....

Framework Tool from market will give you that and more.
