Hello. I have a big problem. I have installed S froyo uk, pl and fi and, in never of them the market app download the app. Icon of download appears and inmediately disappears. I have applicated the fixes that appears in differents threads of the forum and nothing.
Please help!.
And Thanks.
Yes, it´s solutioned, three days changing roms and finally:
1- Install *.sbf rom
2- Install *.nand rom
3- Wipe data and cache, BUT... from boot recovery, not with the system recovery app.
For some reason, the app not wipe all data, the boot phone recovery yes.
Try:
- turn off wifi
- go to manage applications
- force close and clear data of market and download
- switch locale to US
- open market and wait for the terms & conditions

i think you have to go into clock recovery app in the phone (if you dont have it download it from 4shared on the phone, must type "clock recorvery.apk) then go to extras and download the google extras or what ever is in that section for it to work
Quick search...

If you want to remove Sense, Senseless doesn't completely remove it. It just takes out the most visible parts. For true Sense removal you should go with CM7.
Hello everyone,
My Name is Mohaned and i'm new to xda forums, well not so new, just first time for me to register
Sorry if i'm posting this thread in an incorrect place, i still need 10 posts to be able to post somewhere else
So, please read my words
I've got the phone Vodafone 858 (Huawei U8160), and yesterday, i downloaded CM9.1 by psyke for it,
i rooted my phone, installed recovery, and here's what i did in recovery :
Install zip from sd card>cm-9-20121130-MADTEAM-u8160.zip>Choose Zip to install from sdcard>mini-gapps-ics-20120429b-signed.zip>wipe data/factory reset>reboot system
I have to say, the rom is totally perfect, everything is amazing, it's smoother than cm7 on my phone
there are just some problems which i need a hotfix for please
1- No Lockscreen - when i press power button, no lockscreen shows up
2- Home Button Doesn't do anything - when i press my home button, nothing happens, it just vibrates and that's it
3-Bluetooth + wifi at the same time = freeze of wifi - when i enable bluetooth and wifi at the same time, the wifi gets stuck in state of : enabling wifi
4- Root Problem - when i install move2sd enabler to change install location to external, or install any root app, it says that root access wasn't given though i don't get any window to select accept or decline
5- Screenshot app bug - when i hold power button and then select screenshot, it tells me : failed to capture screenshot, sd card storage is in use
So Please make a hotfix for me cuz i think this rom is sooooooooooo amazing, specially this version cuz i experienced an older version and was horible
Extra Info : I made some changes to the zip files of rom and the gapps, idk if that affects but here's what i replaced :
Trebuchet with Nova Launcher
added youtube, twitter, facebook, whatsapp, google chrome in the rom zip file
added google play store, google play services, google search, maps, streetview, voicesearch in the gapps zip
the mobile just starts fine, but i want to fix these issues
any help plox?
Fixed
Nevermind everyone, i redownloaded the zip files and didn't change anything and it's all fine now, looks like changing files was affecting negatively
Hi,
Just tried flashing my stock TF101 to KatKiss 4.2.2 [226] and I found out that I couldn't get some of my apps to update.
One of them is google search, after I click on update, it will proceed to download and the download progress will get stuck @ 75% ( 10mb of 13.32mb ) after a long while ( approximately 10 mins ), it will return error 495.
I've tried wiping, clearing cache, re-adding my google account, but it doesnt seem to work.
Any one has any ideas on solving this ?
thanks a lot.
Try clearing the cache on the Download Manager as well as the Play Store.
Settings - Apps - All - <App Name> - Clear Cache (may take a few seconds for the button to become active)
See if that helps.

Yeah, I've tried that too, was one of the first tips that came out on google. But doesn't work .
Only other suggestions I have is to reflash GAPPS and or try uninstalling/uninstalling updates for the Google app and then update it again.
Greetings,
I had some issues uninstalling xposed on my HTC One M8 that was recently updated to lollipop so I reverted back to a stock lollipop rom directly from Telus. Every time I try and download an app from the Play Store I get the following message.
"nameofapp" could not be downloaded due to an error. (Error retrieving information from server. [RPC:S-7 :AEC-7])
This is what I have tried so far:
- Clear cache on Google Play Services (Framework) and Google Play Store
- removed update from Google Play Store
- updated Play Store manually to newest APK
- rebooted in between these steps
- removed Google Account + cleared cache + all data for all Google Apps and services
Sometimes when I reboot it will let me update or download 1-3 apps, then it will just bring back that error. I'm at a loss as to what I should try as googling this error brings up the same solutions every single time. Other then this issue the phone itself appears to be functioning properly. My phone is unlocked and rooted but I do not have xposed or any other custom mods running. I'm also using the latest version of TWRP. I have also noticed that sometimes when I disconnect from wifi and attempt to download from 4G the download actually goes through. Not exactly a solution as I have limited data available to me. Any ideas?

Flash GApps via TWRP. If it doesn't help, bring your phone back to full stock, including flashing firmware + rom and make sure to format systen + data partition
before flashing the new rom.

Thanks for the help. I tried to flash the google apps but TWRP kept giving me errors that the package wasn't compatible with my phone. I located a nandroid of Telus lollipop stock and flashed that after I have formatted the system and data partitions as you have recommended. I dont believe I needed to do firmware as I have never had anything but stock firmware on the device. Everything appears to be functioning now as I can download and update from the play store once again.
Out of curiosity are you able to tell me why I encountered that issue? I cant seem to find exactly what that error even means. While i'm still very new to the android scene with flashing custom roms and device modification I have never once had that issue.
that is a "host" error, using a file manager, go to your /system/etc folder, open the "hosts" file, as a text file, and erase all.. except the local host:
Sorry bad english
I have a rooted HTC Desire X.
I installed slimbean from scratch following the instructions:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-desire-x/development/rom-slimbean-3-1-unofficial-t2842487
1.- Wipe everything from TWRP, factory reset, internal storage and system.
2.- Install slim-0.1-protou-090814.zip and gapps-jb-20121011-signed
3.- Reboot
After reboot I connect the smartphone to the wifi and when I try to open Play Store it opens and closes by itself.
I tryed everything! Clearing apps cahe, factory reset from TWRP after installation, updating Play Store and Play services from Aptoide, installing gapps-jb-20130813-signed, installed cm10 instead of slimbean... All with the same result.
The only way I could make Google Play to open was with MIUI ROM. But this ROM is only in english, german and chineese and has a lot of bugs.
I think that the problem is that I can't add my gmail account for some reasson, maybe a play services problem. If I go to settings/accounts and press + button nothing happens.
Please I would appreciate help because now I have an unusefull device.

Your best bet is to ask in the thread you got the ROM from or to post in the Q&A section of your device.
Have you tried turning off wifi to connect to Play? I see this was an issue previously and not sure it was fixed on SlimBean, but is fixed on SlimKat.

Thank you for your interest KennyG123,
Yes, I tryed to open it without connection to the Internet and it does the same.
It's a good advice, I will post this in the slim ROM for HTC Desire X threat since I think this should be a general problem, because I haven't installed nothing else.
I tryed to post this problem in the main slimbean threat but no one is answering there anymore so I keep trying.
I instaled cyanogenmod 10.2 with gapps-jb-20130813
I have the same problem but i found out that the problem is that I can't sign in with my Gmail account.
CM12 has a first set up menú that opens the first time you load android after flashing it. In this menú I am asked to enter my Gmail account but when i press add Nothing happends. So I can only ignore this step to continúe.
If I go to settings/accounts/+add account i go to another menú mail/work account/cyanogenmod/google. If I press Google it goes to the previous screen.
It looks like if gapps doesn't work for this old ROMs anymore.
